    No, it's not too complicated. I'm sorry for the delays but recently I've had a lot of school and other personal commitments that I have to prioritize over these requests. I'm hitting everyone's requests as a first-come first-serve basis, so I will eventually get to everyone's and more for those who've requested recently. But unfortunately I can't really tell you when I will get to yours because it depends on how much free time I will have. But I promise I will get to it .

    I drew two versions of your character. Lucky you! It started as a doodle with a ballpoint pen that I decided to color with colored pencils. I ended up on not liking it too much for a number of reasons and did another digitally for my own sake. This isn't going to be an on-going thing I just happened to want to do two this time around.

    Quite a complicated character considering most pony of the other characters. The reference definitely helped here. Hope it came out to your liking.

    Sorry, been on a family trip for the past two weeks and had limited internet access during that time. Had to put the sketches on a hold for a bit. I'll start on them again when I'm able to. Thanks for your patience. -------- Updated 1/9/2012-------- It's been a while. But I'm back from my trip and in front of my computer. So picking up where I left off with these requests. Can you provide some type of reference image? I'm having a hard time understanding the description you gave me.

    Very nice . I sort of want to draw Viola again. I was struggling with the violin but I think I can do it better a second time around.

    Thanks, I try . I'll definitely try to get to more whenever I have the time. It's nice that it's winter break so there's a lot of free time outside of personal projects.

    I do and I don't at the same time. My deviantart is pretty inactive and isn't really about ponies, since I don't consider myself a "pony artist". This is just something I wanted to do for fun whenever I'm taking a break. And truthfully I'd like to keep it that way. But If you want send me a pm and I'll send you a link if you want to check my other stuff out.

    I've been drawing other people's fan characters on other threads, thought it'd be good to compile them into one area. It also helps makes sure this thread stays active. Edit: 12/22/12 Just compiling some more of the sketches from the other threads into this thread. I'm hoping this isn't against the rules on double posting or anything. I just want to make sure everything is compiled into one place for people (but mostly my own) reference. It'd be easier that way rather than trying to jump around the forum trying to find these.

    I'm not sure why it does that when people quote, did you try going to my original post and try downloading it from there? It should/might have a save feature. Thanks for your consideration! But feel free to request anyways. I'm just hitting each one as I go down the list so it's probably better to queue up. So when I do get to it it'll be like a surprise xD.

    Oops, you're right. I got caught up with the scarf that I didn't even see the wings haha my bad. I'll make it up by coloring your character... and everyone elses. And I think I'll start coloring the characters from now on. There's something missing when you leave out color. So I also went back to color the previous sketches and I touched up Starshine Haste's sketch. I wasn't liking her expression as much and her hooves looked too sharp. With Light Diamond, I took some liberties on the proportion since she's an Alicorn. I just figured I'd give her similar proportions to the ones from the show. Just to be consistent. Phew, that's a mouthful. Hoping everyone likes big update.

    I really like the design of Viola. Then I realized she plays the violin . I gotta say it wasn't easy figuring out how exactly should pony is supposed to hold a violin so I tried my best. I hope it works for you.

    Working my way down. I found that drawing colts are harder than drawing ponies. So this was pretty good practice. It's a twofer this time

    I was looking at Starshine Haste's character sheet and I was thinking she was a pretty cheerful and fun character. I wanted to try maintain that aspect from the original drawing. So here's the loveable and cheerful Starshine Haste!

    Taking care of the very first one. I'm glad to see a couple of requests, I was afraid this thread would die out before it even started . So this is Aero! The calm, adventurous musician/artist pegasus pony! He wears glasses and headphones AT THE SAME TIME!

    iPod pictures are just fine. These are very cute! I like the interaction between the two characters in the first drawing. There seems to be a story being told in that one.

    Hey everyone, I'm going to open up a request thread just for the fun of it. I don't want to promise you guys that I'll be be very punctual with any of the drawings because of other commitments but I'll try to get to them slowly whenever I have time. I don't plan on getting very elaborate, just sketches I can knock out quickly. Similar to these drawings. So if you guys have a fanmade character by all means I'd love to have a shot at them. I just ask you to provide me with an image and possibly a brief description of their personality. I'll also do characters from the show, oh the possibilities

    Taking a break from personal projects and decided to do a quick sketch of Rainbow Dash. I'm starting to get more of a handle on the show's style. I'm on a role with these.

    I think it's great that you're practicing! But, I'm just wondering why the choice to use the mouse to draw? It seems like such a difficult tool to use in comparison to more traditional methods. Of course unless you have fun drawing with the mouse then by all means continue. But I think it might be more worthwhile to get your hands used to pen and paper rather than mouse and computer.

    Looking pretty good. You have a nice line quality to your sketches and it's cool to see you drawing through and constructing the characters. Watch out on Rarity's hooves though. They're looking 2D and flat, make sure you give dimension to her legs by drawing them as cylinders rather than rectangles.Watch that your head shapes stay consistent. Ditzy's head is getting a bit squashed in comparison to the other drawings. Also a good thing to consider are poses. Poses can show personality better than expressions. So if you wanted a sinister look, a sinister pose will communicate it better than an expression (though you still want to make sure the expressions comes across well too)
