  1. That time-frame of an afternoon or evening when you realize that you've just got on break and you can put all your worries behind you for the time being. Everything after that evening of the break has less meaning and doesn't feel as satisfying, oddly.
  2. Music: Classic Metallica is better than classic Megadeth. They're heavier, and have better songwriting. Megadeth lacks the power and sheer darkness that Metallica have. ... And Justice For All is their best album. Death Magnetic was uninteresting at best, and their self-titled is okay. Technical playing isn't bad when there is good songwriting, but technical playing for the sake of technical playing is. Also, you don't need the best chops in the world to write an amazing song. People who bash metalcore blindly agitate me. Pony Related: The "fan-pandering" thing is stupid and annoying, though I know that I'm not the only one who thinks this.
  3. Similar to those above I've thought that those who I don't know, don't have any connections with, or I have never seen don't exist to me or are irrelevant to my actions. I can't acknowledge the presence of someone I don't know or have never seen before in my life until I've seen them. It's not entirely true, as there are I people I've never seen or heard that influence me, but someone living in a forest in Siberia who never attempts communication has no bearing on me, not in reasonable time anyway. I also have thought that if I never existed or died, I would never know anything or it wouldn't matter anything I did, because I would lack a conscience to remember it. Among these lines, I would have to exist because I cannot not exist... if that makes sense. Feel free to question my reasoning. I'm trying to put it in terms correctly.
  4. The only thing I don't like about ponies is that you're only given 1 episode a week. After watching the spectacular new episode, I really wish I had more new content to watch. :c

  5. Just watched this episode, dang it was spectacular. I really can't define exactly what I like about this episode, but the humor was awesome, had a large amount of action, and a unique pairing that I didn't see coming. I couldn't find anything to dislike about this episode for sure, and I was extremely entertained throughout. I just really liked it, so far to say it's a God Tier episode for me. I'm really impressed. Oh, and the and opening scene had a Lyra cameo.
  6. It must have been what was going through the writer's head when he first heard the piece. I know that some things sort of "reverse-inspire" people, and I know that some famous creations had creators that worked like this (can't think of an example off-hand, though.) I wouldn't work that way, though.
  7. So, any night owls?

Off-topic, but what Chigens said made me think: When the heck does Bruce Wayne sleep?

He doesn't; his not-canon superpower is immunity to sleep deprivation. o_o

  8. I'm guessing that RF is a good starting point then? I know there is orchestrated music made based on the fic (well-composed, might I add) so naturally I'm interested. (Some rec's for good non-dubstep brony music, by the way?)
  9. I've been meaning to read those, Cupcakes for teh lulz, and MLD just because I hear people talking about it so positively. How gripping is MLD anyway?
  10. So I like how my link to my Devianart Account doesn't work.

So I'm guessing the website linking is generally finicky...

After analyzing what was happening with the linking, I figured out that the site adds the domain name to whatever you have posted on your profile. Completely disregard this, I should have looked into it further.

  11. I've been favoring hot tea as of late, (eating some fruit with that is a yummy mix) but I also like the cranberry variation of Sierra Mist that is out around this time of year too.
  12. I had to think about where to put this since this covers so many grounds. What do you believe to be the most creative and entertaining OC generated by the community? Do you think the music is entertaining varied, or do you think the humor of the comics often almost always impresses? What about the animation and how much do you like of it, or do you feel that it there isn't enough of show-quality hype out there? Same kind of questions apply to comics, fanfics and PMV's. I personally find the comics, art and animations the most enjoyable parts of the fandom. Dubstep isn't really my thing, and large portions of the music aspect are strictly that. However, I like to admire the sheer amounts of quality art and laugh at the great comics there are. There are obviously things I don't like, but those go without saying. What about you? What do you and what don't you like?
  13. Winter break has been great for me, how about you?

So (by the looks of it) a camera you do not need to hold by your hands? Looks pretty sweet, especially for when your hands aren't usable.

  14. I have good amount of friends, and I remain tight-nit with them. Ironically though, I haven't connected with them in a while with what my priorities are. I wouldn't call myself a "hermit" though. I know how to hold a conversation and be loose. With strangers, I tend feel very odd when someone just start talking to me about something. I'll say something like "that's nice," or just nod my head in agreement. Depending on the topic though I'll can lighten-up pretty well. It depends on how I'm feeling at a particular moment.
  15. I know I've posted about this before, but it's relevant here. Just like all genres, there are good artists and bad. I've never gotten into electronic music of any type as of yet, so I have a reserved opinion of it. Until I have a chance to look farther into it, I won't say it is good or bad, just another form of expression that I've yet to experience.
  16. While I know of similar expriences with music, I've never known of it with video games. With the medium, I usually just connect them to positive expriences, never negative, even in horrid times. Then again, we all connect different experiences with different thing and aspects of our lives. Guess this is what makes us unique.
  17. I tend to stay-up really late- usually 3 or 4 AM regularly. I do prefer 1 or 2 AM on days when I need to wake-up early, but that doesn't always happen. (I guess I'm not the only one here.)
  18. For me, it would have to be The Legend of Zelda games, specifically Ocarina, Majora's, and the Wind Waker. I remember when I first rented Ocarina from Blockbuster as a kid and put it in (thinking I would hate it for some reason)... I became entrenched in what was probably the best N64 game ever, and the first game that I truly loved. Majora's and Wind Waker both sum up the inner Zelda lover in me. I think Skyward Sword will do the same when I finish it. I think it's because the world was so large (at the time) and you could do all sorts of exploring within it. I like going places and seeing new things, and the Zelda games cater to that urge very well. I can't even explain what else, though satsifying combat, well composed music also probably plays a role. (Other games of a similar nature do the same, like the Metroid Prime games and Okami too. I'm a real sucker for adventure.)

    Hiya!

Thank you for the kind words, though. I'm guessing you use Steam?
  20. Me, well I was gifted a bit of MLP stuff and a music player. I have some stuff that I wasn't able to get before the holiday, so I'll be picking them up later this week.

    Hiya!

No, I don't do electronic music. I just never got into it, and my talents aren't with keys either. That said, I know (like all genres,) that there are gems to be had. I'll gladely try some of the good stuff.

^Thank you, I'll most certainly post them here, though they'll probably be of the more extreme variety, if you dig that sort of thing.

    Hiya!

My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Twilight Sparkle How did you find MLP Forums?: Someone I know who also uses this forum introduced me to it. Until now, I've sorta been going through other places (including the 4chan and others) looking for a place to settle down. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I actually knew about the fandom since the summer of last year when I ran into the "Unnecessary Censorship" fan parody of the first two episodes. Thinking it was a joke (though I though the VA was good) I forgot about until that winter. I didn't actually watch it until this past August though. I'm just another one of the many fans of this show. Just enjoying what this community produces and what happens in the show. I'm a guitarist I tend to listen to metal, jazz, and classical music, I've been going to school for music and hope to be able to have a career in music (in some form) in my life. I've been composing stuff, and have material laying around, but I haven't recorded anything valuable as of yet. I also enjoy graphic editing on the side. I'm rather familiar with the GIMP program and have been churning-out wallpapers as of late, but I haven't posted anything for critisim yet. I plan to in some time though. (I also play videogames, but not enough lately to condsider myself hardcore... I probably also should finish Skyward Sword.) So, yeah, anyone share similar interests?
