ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOOTTTBBBBAAAALLLLL.????!!!! I'm not! Lol I don't hate football and I don't hate watching it or going to games, but every Sunday when the season is in it's football all day! And not just the games themselves! "There's preparation" my fiancé says, NFL countdown on ESPN and different recaps of different game highlights and different players!

It gets tiring after a while...but today isn't so bad.

Today, because it's wildcard weekend, there are only 2 games and they are both fairly early, ending the football marathon around 6 or 7.

Let's just say, ponies and football don't mix. Except when it comes to Rainbow Dash who seems like she'd love to play it or watch it. While football is going on today, I'll break out some paper and pencil and work on my pony art.

For those ponies who haven't seen my first drawing of Rarity, and for those who have, I need some work to fine tune it.

But overall everypony gave great feedback and encouragement to my drawing ability and it has motivated me to draw some more! (Thanks again everypony)

I may try Fluttershy today, as I think she is so beautiful and her mane looks soft to the touch, I hope I can convey that as well. I'll also be trying my hand at Sapphire Gem today and maybe some clothes.

Stay tuned to my blog and to the fan art forum for posts of artwork!

Just then he kissed her. Put his face to hers and kissed her.
Her eyes were open in a shocked surprise but she enjoyed it.
Her tears dried up instantly and she slowly closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck.
She pulled him closer and kept kissing him.
"MmmohmmNightfall" she was able to murmur in between kisses.
"I'm so sorry," she peeped in between, "can you forgive me?"
This kiss was so unexpected and romantic, she loved it!
"Shut up you fool, you'll ruin it! Just enjoy it."
And she was, she really was.
    ~
She was kissing him back. He felt relieved. He stopped barely long enough to answer, "Of course I can forgive you." And then, he kept kissing her. He got as close as he could then slowly started dipping her, like he had last night.
    ~

He was leaning her back ever so slightly, and she was letting him.
She gently moved the pillows behind her to the ground to make room for them and in a moment her back was flat on the couch.
"Ok now no flipping out this time. There's no need to, you need to trust him that he won't go anywhere you don't want to. More importantly you need to trust yourself."
Her inner angel was sounding like she approved and wanted this to continue.
And who didn't?! It was amazing!
Then her inner harlot stepped out, "Let's try something."
She eased her mouth open and slid her tongue between her lips, touching his.
"I just hope he doesn't freak out!"
At the thought she pulled her tongue back and waited for a response from him.
Would he notice she tried to french him?
    ~
Sapphire had tried to french him. He had noticed. But she had stopped short. He wanted to know why, but because she had started it, she seemed fine with it. Besides, so far, taking a chance with her had worked. He tried what she had to him, but kept his tongue out. He hoped and prayed she would not hold back this time.
    ~

    Crap, he noticed.
But then he did something unexpected, he leaned in and kissed her again but with his tongue inching in between her lips.
"Who is this alicorn and what have you done with Nightfall?"
She was excited with the new Nightfall, so risky and forceful.
He knew what he wanted, he wanted her and he made it known.
She allowed him in and touched his tongue with hers ever so slightly.
It didn't take long for them to be intertwined in one another.
It felt amazing and she didn't want it to stop.
The playfulness of his tongue on hers was exhilarating and new, a new feeling that she couldn't get enough of.
She grazed his tongue with her teeth, just a little nip, to see how he would respond.
"Him? Who is this unicorn and what have you done with Sapphire?!"
She guessed he wasn't the only one willing to take risks.

Around 11:45 she was pacing her living room planning out what she was going to say.
"Nightfall I'm sorry, I don't know what happened last night. Let's act like it never happened and just make out."
"WHAT?! No no no no. Let's try that again."
And that's what it was like between herself for another ten minutes.
"Oh my Luna! He's almost here!!"
    She wasn't even remotely prepared.
"I guess I'll just wing it."
    ~
It was 11:45 when he looked up at a clock. He did tend to get immersed in his work. He got up and started out his door.
"Right... Walk there. Don't be way to early."
And at 11:57, he knocked on her door.
"So... just hope this goes well. You aren't really prepared..."
    ~

    ~

    He noticed a slight pause.
    "Hey, Sapphire..."
Something about her... Whatever it was, he liked it. A lot.
    "What is wrong with you?!"
    "There's something about her..."
"I know. But there must be something wrong with you."
    ~

    "Come in."
She opened the door and stood aside.
She led him to the couch and motioned for him to sit.
"Nightfall," she sighed and looked down at her hooves, "I'm sorry about last night. I flipped out when it was uncalled for. I should have calmly explained like this."
She looked up at him and quickly leaned over and kissed him, taking his face in her hooves.
"I'm sorry but I didn't trust you. I didn't trust myself to stop you if you went any further and I took my distrust of myself out on you."
"I really do care for you and I want to keep dating you. We are dating, aren't we?"
She just assumed that they were dating and potentially set herself up for heartbreak.
Her eyes looked deep into his and tears started pooling.
"Please stop me from crying. Please, anyway you can. You can."
    ~
He saw her tears start welling in her eyes.
"We were and are dating, Sapphire... Please, don't cry."
He moved a bit closer, and wiped her eyes.

    "Did you do something..?"
"Not that I know of... Is this self-guilt on her part?"
"If it is, you need to end it somehow without... without making her flip out again."
    "I'll try my best."

He backed away a bit after wiping her tears up. He didn't want to mess up.
He looked at her for a moment, then decided to take a chance. He kissed her gently, yet passionately.

Another dawn, another day. Nightfall got up and rubbed his eyes. He saw his note and remembered about last night. He shook his head and showered. He then paused for a moment before dialing Sapphire's number and calling her. He wondered how she would take the call. Maybe he could act as if last night never happened.
    ~

Sapphire was wide awake when Nightfall called.
She really hadn't even slept, she tossed and turned while thinking if he would ever talk to her again.
She was quite surprised to see him call but perhaps he wanted answers?
    "I wouldn't blame him."
    "Hello?" She peeped meekly.
The strong sophisticated cooing Sapphire was nowhere to be found after last night.
In her place was a shy, meek being whom she'd never met.
    ~

"Hey, Sapphire... I'm just calling to check up on you. Are you ok?"
There. Maybe she would reply with a yes. He planned on asking her if it would still be OK if he came over and helped her finish unpacking next.
    ~

    He sounded cheery...Like nothing happened?
"Oh hello Nightfall. I'm alright I guess. Listen, we really need to talk. I hope you didn't make any plans over the ones you had made with me? I owe you an explanation about last night."
She did really and hopefully he would give her the chance.
    ~

"No, I didn't make anymore plans... Do you want me to come over to help you finish unpacking? You can explain it better in person, I think..."
"Oh, come on. Does that sound even remotely right to you..?"
"Does it matter? It's more time with her and she wants to explain, so..."
    ~

"Yes I agree. How about you come around noon, I'll make lunch and then we can sit and talk before unpacking?"
Thankfully he wanted to see her.
Or at least he wanted to get an explanation.
Either way it was seeing her and right now that was better than nothing.
    ~

"I can do that. I'll see you later..."
He waited, seeing if she would hang up. If she wanted him to first, he would, but he tried to stay silent to see if she would first.
"What are you doing? Testing her?!"
    " A bit..."
    ~

Oh that answer was quite short.
    "Um ok see you."
She hung up. "Yea, he just wants an explanation...he's mad or humiliated or both."
He had every right to be.
She took a deep breath and finished her tea.
    ~

Yup. She had hung up. Something was a bit off. He made sure he could spare the day from work, and he could easily. He sighed and spent time cleaning his shop and thinking.
    "You should apologize immediately."
    "No. Not immediately."
    "Dude, you may need to!"
"Only if you need to. You may screw up if you do and you don't need to."
    "Ugh. Fine. You win."

Once inside her town home, she locked the door behind her and fell to her knees sobbing.
"Now he'll never want to speak to me again! Why didn't I say anything?! Oh Sapphire you blubbering idiot!"
"But dear be proud that you stood up for yourself! He will want to hear from you, probably not in this lifetime but when he does you can explain."
Was that supposed to make her feel better?
It did, somewhat, and with that thought in mind she went in, hung her dress up, washed her face and went to bed.

    Tomorrow was another day.
    ~

He didn't know what went wrong. He didn't mean to upset her in anyway, and somehow he did. He walked back home to think about it.
"What did I do wrong..? I... what happened?"
    "You went too far."
"But how? You only did what she did..."
"But you took a bit farther."
    "I guess I did..."
"You need to calm down around her. She said too soon, so wait. You may get your time later."
"Good idea... I guess I gotta respect her more..."
"Good. You're learning. Keep it up."

When he got him, he immediately got ready for bed, but stopped. He made a note and set it on his bedstand and fall asleep. The note simply said, "Call Sapphire."

He fell asleep to dreams he didn't remember.

He smiled and moved a bit of her hair from her face.
    "Then why don't we..?"
He kissed her before letting her talk, and then broke and talked again.
"No one comes here besides me anymore, so we would be alone as long as we want..."
He put the other blanket over them.
    "Doing what we want..."
He pulled her close, but stopped right before they did kiss, teasing her a bit.
    ~

As he pulled the covers over them he went in for a kiss, she puckered her lips waiting to receive him but never did.
She opened her eyes and saw that he had stopped, even pulled back a bit.
It alarmed her. Had she done something wrong?
Then a grin came to his face. He was teasing her!
"Oh alright..." her inner harlot grinned, "two can play that game."
"Oh you're in for it!" She giggled and pushed him on his back straddling him.
She leaned down close to his lips and went in for a kiss just as he had, but stopped and moved slightly to the left and kissed his cheek.
She didn't stop there, oh no he was going to get it!
She kept kissing him; down the left side of his neck, near his chest, stayed there for a bit breathing slowly where his neck met his chest and then gracefully, but abruptly, sat up and pushed herself off the ground rolling over onto her back to the left of him.
"Take that." Her inner harlot's grin had reached from ear to ear.
She lay waiting for the return attack that was sure to ensue.
    ~
Her teasing had worked. He rolled over and straddle her. But instead of teasing her, he did actually start kissing her quite passionately, stopping only for long enough to say, "And you deserve this," while grinning. He went back and kissed her cheek and slowly went down her neck and ended up close to her chest, as she had to him. After stopping, he stayed over here, smiling.
    ~

She giggled when he said that she deserved this because she knew she did.
He started kissing her and when he got down to her chest, the alarm started going off again.
"Let's push the envelope a little further and see what he does shall we?"
Her inner harlot wasn't just making a guest appearance, she was becoming the star of the show and Sapphire didn't like it.
But she played along. She knew if things got uncomfortable she could stop them...but would she?
This terrified her, this uncertainty of whether or not she would trust herself to stop him.
All of a sudden she sternly said, "Nighfall stop, stop please!"
She wriggled underneath him prompting him to get off her.
Her inner harlot sat on the ground like a two year old, with her arms crossed, "Oh phooey!"
"Nightfall, I can't...I really want to but it's wrong. You being so close to me like that. So quickly! I know I instigated it but please take me home."
She stood up smoothed her dress out and stood waiting for him.

The perfect night that was going to turn into morning, ended.
And she didn't know how he would react.
It terrified her, what he might say.
    ~

    Nightfall was a little shocked.
    "Of course, of course..."
The mood seemed dead. He rebagged his blankets.
    "OK... Hang on..."
He got close to her, feeling awkward, and after a sudden flash of light, they were in front of her house.
    "Right... So, um... Good night..."
    ~

    UGH! He looked so crushed!
"What have you done?!!" screamed her inner harlot.
"She stood up for herself when she felt uncomfortable, she did the right thing!" defended her inner angel. "Now all she has to do is explain and he will understand and then their date tomorrow can go on as planned. Go on dear."
She opened her mouth to explain herself but tears started pooling in her eyes, making him difficult to see.
All she could do was turn and run inside crying, leaving him there alone in front of her building.
"Good night..." She thought he heard him say but wasn't sure.
Not only was she embarrassed and humiliated but felt horrible inside for embarrassing him!
He did nothing wrong, he was just playing around and she flipped out on him.
Even though she was uncomfortable in that situation, she still should have given him an explanation.

He lay there, next to her, smiling. He enjoyed her company. Something seemed a smudge off, but something always had seemed off to him. He ignored the feeling, thinking only of Sapphire, the mare lying down next to him. He almost felt a bit sleepy... No, if Sapphire wanted to go home soon, he would tell her. He wouldn't want to ruin anything.
    ~
"Oh no. What did I just do? You told him you loved him when, when you're not even sure if you do?"
She lie there next to him and decided not to make things awkward and snuggled in next to him.
She wanted to be close to him, she wanted to stay here with him.
    Maybe she did love him...maybe?
She gazed into the sky, admiring the stars. They gleamed and glittered, shining diamonds against the velvety navy sky.
In the distance the sound of waterfalls crashing was a serene soundtrack to this moment.
    ~
The near silence was beautiful. Nightfall forgot about time and just lay there, smiling. His nervousness had dropped when Sapphire had said she loved him. He felt much better and more happy than before. He got a little closer to her.
    ~

She felt him respond to her snuggle and nuzzled her face under his chin, breathing in his cologne.
It smelled wonderful and took her mind away from the world.
She leaned up and kissed him on the cheek and then nuzzled in and closed her eyes.
No matter what she said or what she really felt nothing could take away the perfection that was this moment of a mare lying in an alicorn's arms, feeling his warmth and his love.
    "But do you love him?"
She would deal with that another day.
Right now she wanted to be only with him, not her thoughts, not the world, just him.
She followed this feeling and sat up and looked into his eyes, those dark brooding eyes that attracted her to him.
She inched forward and planted a gentle kiss on his lips, pressing ever so slightly as to make sure she made contact.
    ~
He put his hooves around and kissed back, closing his eyes and losing himself in the moment. It was a passionate, yet soft kiss. Her dress was smooth, her scent glorious. After the kiss, he looked into her eyes and smiled. He had imagined a movie and then maybe a kiss after he had walked her back to her house; he hadn't thought that this would work, and he was glad it did.
    ~

She put her hoof on his cheek to feel his warm blushing.
How could he do that to her? Make her forget everything just by looking at her and smiling?
It was magical, no doubt. She lay back down into the comfort of his arms.
She didn't care if they stayed their all night. She didn't want to leave him.
    "Nightfall?"
    "No harm in asking right?"
    ~
    "Yes, Sapphire..?"
Eventually he may have to give her a little 'nickname.' He thought of names, like 'my Gem,' but held off fully. There was a time and place for everything, and letting it all go at once usually killed something. He couldn't kill his own love right now.
    ~

Oh his voice! It melted her like butter!
And to hear him say her name was unlike anypony she'd ever heard say it.
"Oh what was I going to say?"
"I wouldn't mind it it we 'accidentally' fell asleep here on this hill. Under the stars..."
She leaned in closer to his ear and whispered.
    "In each others arms.."
"Are you trying to seduce him you harlot?!"
There was no harm in teasing, was there?
Plus, he knew they weren't going to go much farther than making out this evening so why not tease him and build up the anticipation?
    "Because that's cruel!"
She shoved the thought away and let her inner harlot speak up.
"We could even put one of the blankets over us...and make out some more."
    "Harlot."
  8. Sapphire Gem
They found themselves on a hill just outside Canterlot. In front of them was the brilliant setting sun, not to mention a cliff a good distance away, and not too far away on their right and behind them were several waterfalls. They weren't close that they were loud, but they were within easy walking distance; they were on a flat cliff side.
    "How do you like it..?"
    He hadn't moved.
    ~
When they arrived she could see in the distance the illustrious glowing sunset placing a honey glow over the hill and valleys in front of them.
To their right were waterfalls of such beauty like she'd never seen and the warm amber of the sun made them look as though diamonds were falling out of them into a pool of piercing blue.
"Doesn't this place get tired of being so beautiful and perfect? Sheesh!"
"It's...it's " she started to reply but she didn't know how to describe what she was seeing.
    "Indescribably beautiful."
    Perfect.
    ~
Because he hadn't moved, she was still holding his hoof. He didn't mind. In fact, he was close enough to notice that she smelled nicer than intoxicating flowers. He looked at her and smiled. She hadn't noticed his saddlebag, and he silently laid out one of the two blankets he had brought. It was very big, big enough for at least three to sit comfortable on.
"Hey... Do you want to sit down..? I brought these so you wouldn't ruin your lovely dress..."
    ~
"Awe how thoughtful! This thoughtfulness deserves a reward."
He surely had liked her holding his hoof and he surely wouldn't mind getting close to her on the blanket...
    Watching the sunset...
    Alone...together
    What a romantic thought!
She went onto the blanket turned around once and gracefully laid down and in her most flirtatious voice whispered,
"Would you like to sit next to me?"
She was hoping it wasn't too fast or too forward but she couldn't ignore her feelings for him anymore.
She wanted to be near him and he clearly wanted to be near her.
"It would surprise me if he says no."
    ~
    "Yes, I would"
He walked over and sat down carefully right next to her, smiling. The sunset had some effect on him, as well as the faint sound of the waterfalls, the melodious sound of her voice, the fragrant scent she gave off, and the awe of her looks.
    ~
When he sat down she snuggles closer to him, they were side by side.
"I suddenly got a chill. I hope it's alright that I got closer?"
She peered up at him demurely, as if she didn't know what her eyes did to ponies, and batted her eyelashes.
Not taking her eyes off his she said, "The sunset is beautiful. This place is beautiful."
    Everything was perfect.
    ~

    "It's fine. In fact..."
He magically brought out the other blanket, and wrapped it around them.
    "Is that better?"
He looked into her eyes. It was enchanting. The setting sun, the perfect location, her...
He wanted to lean in and kiss her...
    ~
It seemed as if he had come prepared. After he wrapped them up in the blanket he looked into her eyes...
She leaned in closer as if he was going to whisper something to her.
    She closed her eyes...
    ~
He leaned in and kissed her softly, gently. It was bliss. He couldn't believe he was actually doing this.
    ~
She was kissing him! And he was kissing her!
She leaned in more to deepen the kiss.
It was bliss, so much that they didn't even realize the sun had gone down but in their kiss the sun had risen on a bright new being.
Nightfall and Sapphire...it had a beautiful ring to it.
    ~
She had deepened the kiss by leaning in. He held one of her hooves in one of his and put his other hoof lightly under her chin. His happiness was sky high. He had found his companion, and she was beautiful in every way: in name, in body, in mannerisms... Their names together sounded delightful...
    ~
He was holding her chin in his hoof! Just like in the movies!
She slowly nuzzled him and she caressed his hoof.
She moaned slightly to give him positive feedback.
It was the best kiss she had ever had!
It was the only kiss she'd ever had.
    Could it get any better?
    ~

She made him even happier. She herself was happy, and that emanated to him. He was able to get closer to her, and even started leaning her back a bit to see if she liked it.

He never dreamed his first kiss would be with such a mare in such a place alone at night...
    ~
She felt him lean her back..and back.
Further and further they reached the ground. She put her front fore legs around his neck, pulling him closer. Pulling him into her body.
    "MmNightmmfallmm?" She mumbled.
She hesitantly pulled back from his lips.
"I'm not ready for anything more than this right now. Is that ok?"
She couldn't even wait for a response, she pulled him into her kissing him and they rolled back onto the blanket, passionately kissing.
    ~

He made it understood that he wasn't going further. He just kept kissing her. He didn't bother trying anything else. He did, though, break off the kisses after several moments. He moved so they were both lying on their backs together.
"Sapphire... I know we only met yesterday, so this may sound ridiculous, but I- I love you. I've thought about finding someone; you know, like a companion, and it seems fate has made it you..."
    ~
Something in her head was flashing red, like an alarm.
That is way too fast for her. She liked him, really liked him...
But love? That was too much too fast.
How was she going to tell him how she really felt? Could she tell him? She didn't want to hurt him, he was so sweet and kind and hot but love?
She would have to tell him and now.
"Nightfall, I..I" she looked into his deep, dark eyes and fell.
    "I love you too."
    Shit
  9. Sapphire Gem
She smiled at his wink. Oh why must he be so endearing?!
    It was driving her crazy.
They ordered dinner and then it was time to pay the bill.
"I insist on picking this up. You paid last night for dinner."
She politely suggested it but didn't truly believe he would let her.
    ~

"And I will pay again tonight."
He smiled at her and picked up the bill. It wasn't something he couldn't handle. He was able to pay it and still go to a movie. So he did pay it. But before they left, he asked her a question.
"It's starting to get just a little bit dark right now. Would you like to go to the star-gazing area now, or would you like to see a movie?"
He didn't mind because either way, he'd be with her.
    ~
"I was a actually more interested in the stargazing area. Do you know much about astronomy?"
She had always been fascinated by it but had never quite got the hang of memorizing the names of the constellations.
Well even if he didn't this was a better option than sitting in a dark theater for two hours trying to focus on something other than him.
That hadn't worked out so well today so she decided not to resist it any longer.
    ~
"Not much. I've read a few books, but I still find it hard to see constellations. I know the names of them, but their placement and such escapes me."
    Hopefully she wouldn't be disappointed.
"To get the stargazing area, we pass by my shop. If you want, I can run in and grab a sheet that has constellations on it..."
"And a blanket so we don't have to stand and so you don't ruin your gorgeous dress..."
    ~
"That would be great. I know a little so maybe with our semi knowledge of constellations put together we can see something rather beautiful."
    ~
    "Maybe."
They started off towards the area, and he ran inside his shop and found the sheet. He also found a couple blankets, and he shoved this in a slightly worn saddlebag and ran back outside. He hoped she wouldn't question the saddlebags too much.
"Ok. So do you want to teleport there so we can get there during the sunset, or do you want to walk there..? Walking will take a little while..."
"And teleporting will mean I have to be close to you... I don't mind that."
    ~
"To see the sunset would be wonderful and I've never teleported before."
She had heard of it and was a bit frightened but she knew they had worked out the kinks.
    Hopefully.
"So where and how do we teleport there?"
    ~
    "Well..."
He got close to her side, so close that if he swayed a bit, he would have touched her. This made him blush.
"I've teleported a lot before... I know how to teleport multiple ponies, but I haven't tried it... Here we go..."
    ~
Suddenly he was standing quite close to her, close enough to smell.
His cologne was intoxicating, in a good way of course, and drove her crazy.
She had always had a thing for colognes, but his was exceptional!
In the midst of her pining over his body fragrance, she didn't even hear him say "here we go" and all of a sudden there was a loud WHOOSHing noise and the scenery blurred around them.
She wanted to yelp, even scream, but he was close to her and she grabbed his hoof instead.
She hoped he hadn't minded...and it did feel nice even though it was out of fear.
  10. Sapphire Gem
After she said, "See you at 5!" she hung up. He did as well. He sighed, happily.
"Well done, mate... you may have found the companion you've wanted."

He couldn't not think of anything else than her.
    Sapphire... such a nice name.
He could only see her face when he closed his eyes and he could hear here voice often.
    You only met her yesterday...
But he really did like her a lot. Although the same number of customers came in as usual, he earned more than he did. A good deal more. And he smiled to himself because he knew this could only mean he could spend more time with Sapphire and maybe even treat a bit more. He was happy. He hadn't always been happy. Finally, at 4:50, he closed shop and checked his earnings. He smiled, grabbing more bits and putting them in his small bag. He exited the shop and walked towards the restaurant. He didn't see her, but it was only 4:56. He ordered a table for two and was seated. And almost exactly at 5, he saw her and his heart jumped. He had to control himself from looking too excited to see her. He stood up and seated her when she walked over to their table.
    ~

She primped and preened until she looked..Marvelous!
"I hope he thinks I look good."
    She really hoped so.
She thought about him all day while unpacking and tried to get through the majority of it so that they would only need to do some work and then hopefully hangout.
    On her couch...and watch tv.
    The thought made her smile.
One last check in the mirror...aanndd.. "Perfect!"
It was 4:50 as she left the house and made her way to the lobby.

As she approached the restaurant she could see him.
Was he looking for her? He looked like he was...
And then it happened, their eyes met.
    Bliss.
She slowly blinked while she looked at him and flirtatiously smiled.
She walked into the restaurant and over to the table.
"Good evening Nightfall Starline. I trust you're doing well this evening, you look well."
As he magically pulled her chair out and she elegantly sat.
    "Thank you sir."
This evening was starting out perfectly.
    ~

    "Thank you. You're welcome."
She looked beautiful, stunning, no... gorgeous. She had thought about this time together.
"I am doing quite well tonight. And you, Sapphire?"
How did fate match him with such a pretty, elegant mare? He didn't complain, but he couldn't believe his luck.
    ~

"Not quite. I wanted you to be here so I didn't get order something you don't like."
The way she looked in her dress- Nightfall couldn't believe it. She was so pretty.
    ~

He looked handsome as ever, and such a gentlestallion.
"I'm much better now that I'm here with you."
She decided to be a little flirty this evening, what harm could it do?
    "Have you ordered appetizers yet?"
She smoothed her dress out and placed her napkin in her lap.

    "Oh thank you Nightfall. Garcon?"
She called the waiter over to order an appetizer, and then she was to ask about his day.
    The waiter arrived.
"We'll take some gnocchi and I'll have white grape juice to drink, if you have it."
She turned to allow Nightfall order his drink and explained what gnocchi was.
"It's a potato based morsel with cheese and other various ingredients. It's delightful I assure you."
    ~
"I'll also go with the grape juice."
Sapphire explained what gnocchi was and had him held on her every word.
    "It does sound very good."
He smiled at her, blushing a little bit.
    ~
"So, how was your day Nightfall? Did you get much business?"
    ~
"I got the same amount of business, in a bit less time, if that makes sense. The plus side is that a few of the jobs, I got really big tips, so it was almost like getting paid for three and a half days of work."
    He beamed.
    "And yours?"
    ~

"That's terrific! Congratulations dear. I did get a lot done today. I unpacked and put a lot away. But don't fret, there's plenty of work left over for you."
She giggled not only at that joke but the fact that it wasn't necessarily true. She had left a good amount of boxes they could unpack together but not enough to unpack all day.
    ~

He jokingly moaned, and then laughed.
"To be honest, I don't mind. Work is work to me."
He smiled at her and gave her a small wink.
    "Will she notice..?
  11. Sapphire Gem
    "Oh that would be swell!"
She heard herself afterward and facehoofed.
"So much for playing hard to get..."
"I mean... I would love to but I have some things to take care of here in the town home. Additionally, don't you have a store to be running?"
    She facehoofed again.
"Hopefully he doesn't take that as a 'no'"
"What I meant was, if you're not too tied up with the store and after I wrap things up here I would love to accompany you to some waterfalls and a movie afterward. Shall I eat before we go or will we be eating dinner as well?"
    "Good one."
    ~

    Three answers.
"If you wanted, and if I'm not too busy later, I may be able to help you finish unpacking."
    He paused a bit.
"And we can get dinner again tonight, if you'd like."
    ~

    "Well..I do need to unpack...

    But it can wait."
"Actually, I'd really love to see a movie. I haven't been in a while. But I would appreciate the help unpacking so maybe another day?"
She wanted to make sure she was going to see him more after tonight.
Was tonight a date? Or was he just being friendly to a newcomer?

"I guess we'll find out tonight."
    ~
"All right. Maybe tomorrow, then. What time-"

"Wait, are you sure this is a good idea..?"
"What time would you like to meet up today?"
    ~

    She heard him pause...
    What did that mean?
She paid no mind and answered his question.
    "What could go wrong?"
"Let's say around 5 for perhaps an early dinner? And then head over to the theater and see what is playing around then?"
    ~
"Sure. After a movie, I've actually got a good place for star gazing, if you are ok with it."
    ~

    "That would be lovely!"
She noticed that he didn't mention the waterfalls..she was kind of disappointed.
"May we reschedule the waterfall viewings? I was looking forward to that, but I assume it would be difficult to see them at night."
    ~
"Oh! Yeah, some of the better waterfalls are easier to see during the day, but the star gazing place is by a waterfall. I don't know why I forgot to mention that... We can see the waterfalls tomorrow, maybe..."
    ~
"Oh that works great. Something nice and relaxing to do after unpacking."
    ~
"Yeah... So, 5? Do you want to meet at the restaurant we ate at last night..?"
    ~
"That sounds perfect. See you at 5!"
  12. Sapphire Gem
Nightfall woke up. He remembered yesterday and his time spent with Sapphire. Even as he got his shop ready, he found his mind slowly wandering to her. He wanted to hate himself, because they had only met yesterday...
    ~

Sapphire awoke in a stupor, shook her head and realized where she was.
"Was last night real? Was yesterday real? Oh I hope it was!"
She displayed a large grin on her face, laid back down and hugged her pillow.
She had met a boy yesterday.
And not just any boy but an alicorn, a handsomely, mysterious alicorn.
And he liked her back! It was only one day!
    One night. One moment...
    "Ahhh" she sighed
    It was a pleasant thought.
"I wonder what he has planned today?" she questioned as she trotted to the bathroom
"Oh my stars!" she exclaimed in horror, "I look a fright! Perhaps I should shower and prepare for my day before I wonder about anyone else's."
She showered quickly and went to the kitchen to fix some breakfast or at least tea.
"Perhaps I should call him and ask about his day today?"
"Oh no you don't! You will not act as if chivalry has died! Be the lady your mother raised you to be and wait for him to call. But never let on that you were waiting!"
"Ahhh." she sighed exasperated, "I guess I should start unpacking some things."
    And she got to work.
    ~
His shop was soon ready, but it seemed early enough that no one would be by too soon. He sighed. She had given him her number, yet there was a feeling inside that wanted him to hold back and not call her yet. Besides, what would he say?
He ignored that thought and dialed her number, planning on asking her how she thought of last night and then letting the conversation go from there.
    ~

"Ugh! why did I pack this hideous thing?"
She held up a blue and green sweater that she hadn't worn in years.
    Something her mother packed surely.
Just then the phone rang and she jumped to her hooves.
"Oh my! It must be him! It must be him!"
She took a deep breath when she got to the phone and answered it smoothly.
    "Hello." she cooed
    "Sapphire darling!"

    "Oh no."
She deflated her lungs into an exasperated sigh.
"Hello mother..." she said sounding rather annoyed.
Their conversation lasted a few minutes, filled with the usual update; was she eating, what was she doing, did she go out, etc.
She avoided telling her mother about Nightfall. She would have freaked out over nothing and over reacted and asked a million questions...
Suddenly, as if sent from heaven, the second line started beeping.
"Oh mother that's the other line. It might be the fashion magazine I applied to earlier this week. I really must get it."
She felt bad lying to her mother, but she knew it had to be Nightfall for sure!
"Oh alright darling I'll let you go, good luck love! Your father and I love you!"
"Love you too Mama, I have to go now. Bye!"
She clicked over and tried her greeting again.

"Hello." she cooed in her most elegant British accent.
"It must be him. It must be him."
    ~
Her voice. When she greeted, he almost forgot to reply.
    "Hey, Sapphire!"
Her voice was way more elegant than his. He knew this and wondered if he was even in her league. But he wasn't going to just leave her because he 'wasn't deserving' or crap like that.
"I was just calling like you asked. Did you sleep well last night..?"
    ~

His voice sounded so manly and brutish..So unlike her father and the colts she had tried to match her with.
    She loved it.
"Oh hello Nightfall dear. Yes I slept rather well last night, thank you for asking. I trust you slept well also?"
She wanted to sound as elegant and beautiful as possible to hopefully evoke the thought of her face in his mind and maybe he might want to see her today.
"You are conceded and I can't take you anywhere."
She giggled internally at the thought.
    "I'm just confident, that's all."
    ~
The power of her voice was incredible.
    "I did. Thanks for asking!"
What to do, what to do...
"If you aren't doing anything to day, I can show you some good waterfalls just outside of Canterlot, and then maybe we can go to a movie tonight."
    Oh, please say yes...
  13. Sapphire Gem
"Well, I've enjoyed our short time together today as 'companions', if you will, around town. It seems like such a whirlwind of a day. I mean I stumble into your store and here we are out to dinner."
She giggled, perhaps a bit too loudly, but it was funny to think about it.
She wondered if it could be like this always?
Would he want to take her out on a real date someday?
"Maybe after you get to know each other better, you really don't know a lot about him and he definitely doesn't know a lot about you to permit a date."
But how much would they need to know about each other to permit it?
Perhaps you should just wait for him to ask , and cross that bridge when you get there.
    "So what's your favorite color?"
"Oh yea, surely that would permit an invite*eye roll*"
    ~
He smiled and even chuckled a bit at her question.
"My favorite color is my coat color: deep blue. Right after that is my mane color, black."
"Yup. She takes an interest in you. And because you take an interest in her, better return the favor."
    "And you..?"
    ~
"Well let me think, Sapphire is such an elegant color how could I not love it? But seeing as I hear it all the time, I grow quite tired of it. I'd have to say it's the teal in my mane. It's light and airy but something about it is so...so..beautiful."
"Oh yea...he's into you. Lets keep the ball rolling."
She waited patiently for his next inquiry, seeing as she made plenty of her own earlier in the day she saw it only fitting for him to reciprocate.
    ~

"Interesting... it isn't the white of your coat..?"
He also wondered why her name was Sapphire, yet she was white... He wanted to ask her next. Sapphire was such a nice name...
    ~

"No, white has never really held any special meaning. My family have white coats but different colored outlines. For example, my father is white with an emerald outline. My mother has a ruby one. I am the only pony who didn't get an outline and I can only suppose it's because of my light teal hair."
As she thought of it she realized that her name and coloring didn't quite add up...her name should really be Amethyst instead of Sapphire.
She decided to give him an explanation to this as well because she could see it confused him.

"You're probably wondering why my name is Sapphire? Well the story goes that when I was born my mother didn't want my first name to be a gem cut like hers and my fathers. My mothers name is Marquise Ruby and my fathers is Asscher Emerald. So she decided that she was going to try and predict my cutie mark by naming me Sapphire and then Gem is our last name. So technically I don't have a middle name. But when my cutie mark showed it had a purplish blue tint, so my parents freaked and rushed me to the nearest jeweler and he assured them that my name and cutie mark matched up as some Sapphires have a purple/indigo tint. So it just stuck."
She realized she had been rambling.
    "Sorry if I bored you."
    ~

"No, no, I was just going to ask why your name is Sapphire. It is a really nice name..."
    He blushed a bit.
    ~

"Well thank you. And that's about it really"
She noticed him blushing and it made her blush...
and there was an awkward silence.
    ~

The awkward silence didn't help his blush.
    "Have you designed anything recently..?"
"Perfect. Just perfect. Wait, no, not perfect, bad."
    ~

    Designed? Lately?
In the midst of moving and unpacking she really hadn't had much time to.
But she wasn't going to say that, it sounded unprofessional and non-dedicated.
"Some things here and there but with the moving a lot of my design utensils are packed away."
    "Good cover, the truth."
    ~
"Right. Of course. You told me you were moving here."
    He facehoofed.
  14. Sapphire Gem
    "Indeed, it is..."
He saw the slowly setting sun.
"Would you like me to take you back to your home..?"
He hoped she would say something else...
    ~
"Well, um unless there's someplace else you'd like to show me? Or maybe we could get some dinner? I am quite famished."
She was, and it seemed like a legitimate excuse to stay out with him.
He did have to eat right? And so did she.
What a coincidence... She smiled to herself
    ~
"Oh. Yes, of course. I know of a place not far from here that is really nice yet not too expensive. I'll treat, ok..?"
He smiled at her. Maybe she would accept it.
    ~
"Oh what a gentlecolt. Alright then, and perhaps we can learn more about each other."
She was glad that he took the hint, but she was not expecting for him to treat.
It was nice to be with a mature Alicorn instead of the young colts back home.
It was a change of pace she could get used to.
But something was nagging at her in the back of her mind.
"You do realize he has emotional baggage that he seems he has yet to confront. Maybe he has different feelings about friendships and relationships than the normal pony would?"
"He is normal." She whispered under her breath
"OH MY PONY! You just said that out loud!! May be didn't notice?"
    ~
    "That would be quite nice..."
He thought he heard her say something, but he didn't catch it and didn't want to ask her awkwardly if she said anything. He smiled at her and started moving towards the restaurant.
"I can even mark it on the map... If that is ok with you..."
    ~
    "That would be delightful."
    Whew! He hadn't heard her.
    ~
He made a mark on his map, then observed it.it wasn't too far from her house; in fact it was almost in between his shop and her house.
"This can't be a coincidence that she walked into my shop..."
It wasn't much of a walk, so they soon arrived.
It wasn't a big restaurant, but it did like nice. He asked for a table for two and they were immediately seated.
"Is Canterlot holding up to your expectations..?"
    ~
The restaurant was quaint and cozy.
A great place for new friends to eat and chat it seemed.
Plus it didn't seem too far from home because she had recognized her surroundings while he led her there.
"It has exceed them! My mother, when I was a filly, would tell me stories about how beautiful and perfect Canterlot was. How everything just seemed to fit and look perfect, but it's a different experience when you get to live here. I am very blessed that my mother sent me here."
It came back to her why her mother had sent her here, and she began to frown at the thought as she ended her sentence.
    ~
She frowned a bit. He noticed it. But he didn't want to question it. Maybe it would present itself later. He remembered she hadn't questioned his hard times. He thought it was good to 'return the favor.'
"Even after all my life here, I'm still liking a lot of it. I've heard stories that one needs to get out and explore Equestria, and many have added with a friend or companion, but here... It's such a nice place..."
"But I've always missed a close relationship... Maybe you, Sapphire, can help me there... You already seem interested enough, and I know I am..."
  15. Sapphire Gem
"Oh, that sound like fun. And definitely interesting, being that that is your hobby."
She was a bit let down to hear that he wasn't as outgoing and she would have hoped, but then again in this new city she wasn't that outgoing either.
"If it isn't too forward, I'd like to ask you something."
She paused, collecting her thoughts on exactly how she would verbalize the question.
"Seeing that I am new here and don't have a lot of acquaintance's, and if you're free, I was curious if you'd like to get together sometime in the week and maybe just hang out?"
She paused for a moment but got nervous about his pending answer and interjected one last bit.
"Similar to what we're doing now, but maybe going to a movie if there is a theater here or showing each other's projects to one another. I know I would love to see one of yours one day."
"I don't think that made it any better...now to wait."
    ~
    He paused for a moment.
"That... that might work... I think Friday night might be the best time, but I'll see if any other time works..."
He hoped that would work as an answer. They were nearing the castle, but he waited for her to respond before he mentioned it.
    ~
"Oh Friday will be fine. I'll have to check my week though."
"Yea make it sound like you're not just going to be sitting around all week to see your only acquaintance."
As she finished her sentence, out of her peripheral she could see something large and what seemed like it was glowing.
    It was the castle.
    "Gasp!"
The spires of the castle glittered with gold and the paintings on the face of it were magnificent. Sapphire had never seen anything like it!
Its grounds were immaculately kept and the majestic waterfall in the background was picturesque.
It was luminescent. It was stunning. It was breathtaking.
    It was gorgeous.
    ~
He stood there silently. He knew she had seen it. He still really liked what it looked like, so it must have been spectacular for her. He smiled, not really noticing he was pretty close to her.
    ~
Her eyes had never been set on anything so beautiful!
She was in pure awe of it; she was speechless
Just then she felt Nightfall's body heat radiating from him and wasn't sure if she had moved closer or if he had.
But it didn't matter...it was divine and if she could she would inch her hoof towards his...
    Maybe he would hold it?
"ARE YOU INSANE SAPPHIRE?! You just met this boy and this is the first day you're hanging out with him and you're wanting to hold hooves with him?! You are insane, he'll think you're insane!"
"Oops um uh sorry, I didn't realize I had stepped to closely to you" she apologized as she took half a step to the side to put some space between them.
Hopefully that wasn't as awkward as she felt it was, but she was afraid it was.
    "Oh boy."
    ~
"No, no, I understand... you were lost in the moment... I mean, I do that a lot... getting lost in the moment, you know..."
"Great... What does she think of you now..?"
    ~
"Yea I guess I got lost in its beauty. Have you every seen anything so beautiful? The way it glitters and shines is breathtaking! It's so elegant!"
She knew she was letting herself get away with her descriptions but she new they didn't do it justice at all!
As the sun set behind the castle she sadly became aware that it was going to be night soon.
How late would he want to stay out? How late would she want to stay out?
If it was with him, she could stay out all night.
    "You have lost your mind."
  16. Sapphire Gem
Sapphire. It matched her. Both her and her name were very pretty.
"To give you the best shops around," he said, "I'd have to know the general area where you live. I mean, I'll walk you there, to your house, and then I'll mark on a map where the best, closest areas are. After that, I can show you where the castle is..."
He blushed only slightly, so it was barely noticeable, but if you looked hard enough, you could see it.
    ~

"Know where I live? Am I comfortable with that? Oh come on Sapphire it's only logical that he'd need to know that you stupid!"
"Well, Nightfall," His name was intoxicating to say, it was mysterious, which he definitely was, and manly and handsome like him. Like she'd hoped. "if you're sure you can retire from your shop today to show an new comer around town, I would be forever grateful."
"And the castle! I've never seen the castle and he offered as if he's been there a million times!"
"Oh and I would be ever so thankful if we were able to see the castle.Shall we away to my address then?"
She sauntered to the door to make her way out.
Flirting was definitely a new trait for her.

    But she was loving it!
    ~
He loved his luck right now. He magically grabbed his keys and exited his shop, locking the door. He followed her as they made their way to her address. He hadn't forgotten his map, and he was making a slight line along the route they were currently taking.
"The castle is easily visible from all around, but I know a way to get closer that only few know about. Would you like that..?"
    ~
She was delighted when he rushed out of the store faster than she'd ever seen and was excited what the day might bring them
"It's just around here. Where I live I mean."
As they walked she thought about his comment about his shortcut to a better view of a castle.
"I would love to get as close to the castle as I possibly can! It's one of the reasons I moved here to Canterlot."
"Let's learn more about him Sapphire"
"How long have you lived here?"
    ~
He studied his map and made a small "x" where they were.
"I've lived her all my life. I've even stayed through the hardships I've been through..."
He sighed a bit, then walked so he was beside her. He showed her the map.
"OK, so we are here. 'X' marks the spot, I guess."
He moved the pencil and made a "G" at a building just about .2 miles away.
"There's the closest, best grocery store, and here," he said, making a "C" .1 miles above the "G," "is the closest, best craft store. Right next door is a large, really good cloth store."
    ~
"Wow, all your life? In this great city? I am so jealous right now!"
She thought about asking about his 'hard times', but decided against it since their "friendship" was so new.
"Thanks a lot for showing me where those places are. They're so close by, which is good when I go on a spree for new fabric. I'll have to show you one of my designs one day, they are simply divine! Would you like that?"
"Probably not, considering you're a guy and could probably care less about my clothing designs...but maybe, just maybe, you're different?"
    ~
"I know it may not sound 'manly' and all that to say I would, but yes. I've seen a lot of fashions out there and wouldn't mind seeing a new one."
"Hopefully she doesn't think I'm gay now... nothing is wrong with being gay, but I'm not gay..."
There was a bit of a silence.
"Do you want to go see the castle now..?"
    ~
"Really? That's great! Oh yea sure! I'm so excited!"
She jumped slightly in the air.
    "Oh um sorry." She giggled
As they kept walking she was trying to think of something else to ask him.
She wanted to know more about him, but didn't want to come off as a prying pony.
'"Easiest way to do this is to...well, just ask I guess."
"Nightfall, would you please tell me about yourself. I think it best that you volunteer information instead of me prying by asking questions, because, well," she paused, "I would like to know more about you. If that isn't off putting I mean."
    "You.Just.Blew.It"

    "Nice job Sapphire."
    ~

He was a bit shocked, but laughed after a moment.
    "Sorry..."
    He finished chuckling.
"Right... About me... Ok... Well, I was born and raised her in Canterlot and have lived her ever since. However," he said, "my parents- well, they disappeared several years ago. I was able to take care of myself, and found a way to make enough money to start my small business. I'm making a decent amount, I guess. Not too much, but not so little that I have nothing to spare..."
He left out the part of not having too many friends, and none so pretty as Sapphire.
    ~

    "Disappeared?"
That was so sad. How does anyone really disappear? Especially parents of a filly?
"I would assume you've gone looking for them and had alerted the respective authorities? What did they find?"
She was desperately hoping there was something done or that could possibly still be done.
No one should be alone like that.
"Well, he wasn't alone anymore. He has you now."
    ~

"Well, I did. Anyone would want to help an alicorn, even one who isn't exactly rich.. But nothing could be found. They've been pronounced dead, but we may never know if they did die or if they just... disappeared somewhere. As for me, well... Personally, I didn't look for them outside of Canterlot. I didn't really want to..."
    ~

    "Oh, ok."
She decided to just leave it at that seeing as the topic was dampening the mood.
"So how did you learn about this shortcut to the castle?"
She was meeting his stride now and it was kind of cute, he was kind of cute...
She looked up at him demurely,
"Have you taken any other ponies to the castle?"
Silently the hope that he hadn't swelled, but how could a pony as handsome as he was not have a dozen ponies fawning over him?
    ~

"I was exploring one day, and I found it. I've kept it secret..."
    He looked at her.
"No, I've never taken anypony else to the castle."
    ~

    She silently squealed inside.
"You're the first pony he's taking to the castle on his secret route!"
It reassured her just as much as it excited her, because that meant that he wasn't some serial killer
    "Giggle"
    Oops!
"Oh I wasn't laughing at you dear, just flattered that I'm the first and only pony you've taken this way."
    Nice save.
"So, what do you do for fun?"
    ~
Sapphire was growing on him fast.
"For fun? I try to figure out how to tune things I've made and how to make new things. I'm not so out going. But when I get a free day... I explore Canterlot and it's outskirts. It's all I really have to do..."
"Maybe, Sapphire, you can change that..."
  17. Sapphire Gem
Once on the busy street Sapphire wandered around aimlessly.
"Grrr! I don't know where anything is!"
She decided to duck into a nearby shop.
What they sold she didn't know but greeted whom she believed to be the owner in a pleasant fashion.
"Good morning. What is it you sell here?" she inquired looking around quizzically at the bits and pieces of mechanical parts.
    ~
He looked up. Not a normal greeting for him. Besides... somehow... she looked different than all the other ponies who came in.
"Good morning. I fix mechanical things and sell the parts for those who want to do it themselves. How may I be of service?"
No, she wasn't the usual customer. She seemed... He noticed her fully. His first reaction almost slipped out of his mouth: wow, you're really... pretty. And it was true. At least, to him. Maybe not to other high-and-mighty Canterlotians, but he thought she was. It made him happy to at least try to help her.
    ~
She blinked a few times, surprised at the look she was receiving from the shop owner.
    "Oh, mechanical items and parts."
She magically lifted what looked like a copper mechanical part with dials spring to get a better look.
As she did a spring popped out and and startled her. She set it back down.
    "Oops, sorry." she giggled embarrassed.
He was still looking at her as if he was stunned to see a girl unicorn.
"Are you alright dear? You look a bit flush..." She asked cautiously, silently questioning why she was nervous to hear his answer.
    ~

He almost jumped. It seemed like her asking that startled him.
"No, no, I'm fine... I was just... Thinking. Deep in thought. I'm trying to figure out what I should try to design in my next set of free time."
Of course, the lying made him blush a bit.
"Never mind that. Is there something I could help you with?" He asked with a smile.
    ~

    "Design?!" She gasped.
She composed herself, realizing that she may have just caught him off guard with her enthusiasm.
Not everyone knows you're a designer Sapphire, this isn't home
"Oh um, I love designing things, I dabble in fashion. What is it you are designing next?"
She was baffled that she was so open with a stranger she had only just met.
In her baffled stupor she realized she never answered his question.
"I do apologize I never answered your question. I was just exploring Canterlot. I just moved here and I'm fairly new to the stores around town. Thought I'd try going in one and I stumbled into yours."
Looking around as she explained herself, she realized that she didn't quite look the part of someone who would be in this store.
But the owner was nice enough so she decided to stay and carry on the only conversation she'd had with anyone in her new town.
With the exception of her door man of course.
    ~
"I don't know what I want to design next. Maybe I'll experiment until I get somewhere."
A fashion designer. Of course that would be the reason she looks so pretty.
"New to Canterlot? I've always been here. Would you like a tour? I'm pretty sure I can spare today from work..."
He almost facehoofed. She was just looking around, exploring Canterlot on her own. Did he have to ask that question..?
    ~

"Oh well I wouldn't want to impose, you probably have a lot to do here in the shop."
What was she saying?! She would probably get lost without a tour guide and he was offering!
Plus he wasn't too bad on the eyes...who what she kidding? He was handsome!
"We'll now that I think about it, I could use some guidance and help finding perhaps a grocery store and a craft store where I could get supplies for my designs.."
There! She spit it out and hopefully he would help her.
It dawned on her that she did not know his name nor did he know hers.
"Oh my, today is a day of sorts! I have forgotten my manners once again! My name is Sapphire Gem, Sapphire for short. And whom might you be?"
Hopefully he had a handsome name to go along with his handsome face
    ~

He thought for a moment. He'd have to know where she lived in order to know the best, closest grocery store and craft shop. But his thoughts were interrupted when she said her name and asked for his.
"Nightfall. Nightfall Starline is my full name."
  18. Sapphire Gem
Sapphire Gem awoke from a sleep that really wasn't much of one.
She had just moved to Canterlot and was well aware she was out of her element.
She stumbled around her new house to find the bathroom, showered then went downstairs.
*sigh* "I don't quite know what I'll do today considering I don't want to get lost in this big town."
She contemplated staying in but her mothers voice resonated in her mind,
"Darling you are embarking on the most important journey of your life, you simply cannot sit around the house waiting for opportunity to find you."
She sighed, rolled her eyes and headed out into the new town.
  19. Sapphire Gem
Nightfall sighed, his eyes still closed. It was another bright, shining day.
"Gotta start, or there'll be nothing to eat..."
He got up slowly and took a warm shower. After his shower (which didn't help in waking him up), he made some coffee and went down into his "shop." It was more garage-like than anything, with inventions here and there, along with mechanical parts and tools. He expected the day to be "usual:" not too many customers. The ones who did come in, he didn't expect to chit-chat much.
"Maybe today would be different," he thought as he magically shifted one of his small clocks in the front window and pushed a cart to the worktable.
