I'm torn in my opinion about these two. On one hand, the logical side of me dismisses the side plot as redundant and Flash as a flat character only there to be a love interest for Twilight. On the other hand, the concept of romance in MLP is interesting, and could make for some good lessons. While I'd hate for the show to become focused on the romance side of things, I wouldn't have a problem with an episode or two. If Flashlight was to return in MLP someday, I'd hope that the relationship between Twilight and Flash be developed more, as well as Flash himself.

I think it was better than I'd expected. I started watching with apprehension, not sure what I thought the film would be like. I didn't like the human art and the concept, but I was willing to see how it worked in the movie. My feeling after watching was that it was very entertaining, for what it was at least. The characters looked much better animated than as pictures. Sure, the plot was rather cliche (as expected of the high school setting), but I found that it was entertaining enough if you made the effort to turn off your inner critic and ignore the huge numbers of plot holes.

Would you be okay with personality changes to Twilight?
Magica replied to ~Master~ Button Mash's topic in Season 3 Discussion
I think that she should stay close to who she is, but character development is not a bad thing if done right. Twilight learning to gain control of her anxiety is a good thing and a sign of character growth. Sure, maybe some people related to that part of her, but I like MLP because it isn't a cartoon which has to stick firmly to the status quo. If Twilight was to lose her 'adorkable' nature...well, I don't know. It could be nice to see Twilight grow and become more mature and responsible, but sad in a way like watching a child grow up. But even if she changed, I'd think that she would still be able to laugh and be her same old self with her friends when not on princess duty. I guess what I'm trying to say is that Twilight can develop and change and I'll be fine with it, but her core nature shouldn't change.- 23 replies

Option Two sounds like Madoka Magica, I like it. Come to think of it, Twilight's transformation with the purple light coming out of her reminds me of the soul gems in Madoka. The only thing is that if this were Madoka Twilight would probably end up dying or suffering horribly in some way or another.

I'm rather torn on this episode, but my overall mood is shifting towards the negative side. First, the positive. I loved the first arc with the cutie marks being switched, I wish that could have been given it's own episode since that could have been one of my favourites. Instead, it was squeezed in and resolved far too quickly. As for the second arc with Twilight's ascension...it was even more rushed and lots went unexplained. My feelings summed up are basically: Twilight became an alicorn and a princess 'just because'. I feel like I know anymore about the whole process than I did before watching the episode. Yes, we will probably get an explanation later, but it doesn't make the lack of explanation in this one episode any better. Before anyone comes to declare bias, I'm mostly neutral on Twilight becoming an alicorn. No matter how much you may enjoy this episode, the pacing was horrible. No blame on the writers of course, they did what they could. This episode could have been so much better as a three parter. I really wanted to enjoy this, I really did, but there wasn't much for me to go off. There was potential, but not enough time to express it.

I wear no make up, even though I'm a girl. Simply not all that interested in those kinds of things. Honestly, I think make up often has the effect of making you look artificial, unnatural and just...strange. Sure, make up can also make you appear more attractive while still not looking unnatural, but I don't believe in altering my appearance like that just to look better. No offense to anyone though, it's just my opinion on make up, not those who wear it.

You're appearing quite desperate, no matter what you say. You don't get trades by begging for them, if you want one then check out the trading threads on the main Dragon Cave forums and post there. Begging for views/clicks/etc isn't very good behavior either. I suggest you use a clicksite, two I suggest are: AoND (http://www.coup-detat.info/NDER/NDDC.php) and Silvi's Lair (http://lair.silverdrak.de/). Just enter your scroll name and your eggs will be added.

Android. Customization is great, you can change the look of your phone easily without rooting your phone. Home screen and locker replacements are a matter of downloading an app.

Favorite Cutie Mark Crusader and why?
Magica replied to Mister Jack's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Scootaloo. The one problem I had with her was that she was too similar to Rainbow Dash, but with her (possible) lack of flying ability and insecurities, she was lifted a little above the other two for me. I'd like to see those traits expanded on in the future. Sweetie Belle wins for pure cuteness though, especially as Sweetiebot.- 456 replies

Am I the only true Twilight Sparkle fan?
Magica replied to Dolphanatic's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I thought Twilight was the most popular favourite character by vote. Well, guess it varies but there are certainly no shortage of Twilight fans. She's my favourite because I relate to her, but even if I didn't, there isn't really a 'wrong' way to be a fan of a character (if you aren't suggesting that with the use of the term 'true fan', then just ignore me). -

What time do you usually go to bed?
Magica replied to Bucky McGillyCuddy's topic in General Discussion
During school, around 11:00-12:00. Sometimes I keep up that habit in the holidays and weekends, but especially in the holidays, I tend to slip back into sleeping late at 1:00-2:00. -

(Not my picture) Just bought one of those from my local Warehouse store. As far as I know they're only sold in New Zealand and Australia. I would buy some and ship them out to people not living in one of those countries but I'm pretty sure I won't be allowed to (being young enough for my parents to have control of my life). Just wanted to share this ^^

Well, it seems pretty obvious to me why earth ponies aren't loved very much. Both flying and magic have a 'cool' novelty factor, flying and magic are probably two of the most common answers given to 'what superpower would you want'. Earth ponies don't have much going for them. Growing food and extra strength isn't enough to interest most people.

I believe that reality is either: a] An external reality which exists, which we (incorrectly) perceive through our senses. For examples, the particles of light may exist, but colour does not, colour is the result of us perceiving the light bouncing off an object. Objects are not 'inherently' red, but we can perceive them as such. (Of course, if particles do not exist and are a result of our failed perception as well then this example fails.) b] Something which doesn't 'exist' (physically?) except for in our heads, it's all a simulation/illusion/dream/whatever.
