  1. Not unexpected at all. In fact, one would say it is quite necessary that this twist happen. Otherwise, it'd be too obvious that the replacement characters are inno's.
  2. I'm sorry, everyone. I got severely distracted by old episodes of Poke'mon and EpicMafia, not to mention Pinkie's game. I kinda forgot this was going. I'll put the story up within 24 hours. (Because I'm tired, right now, and I work, this afternoon, so It'll have to wait 'til then. The town spent hours arguing over who had done what and whether or not this was a legitimate threat. No one seemed to agree. The one who'd been attacked angrily pursued punishment, while other players sought peace and diplomacy. Sooner or later, however, the arguing died down, leaving only a very persistent few in the fray. They all argued into the night, until it got very dark, at which point, they all nodded a begrudging agreement and trotted off home for the night. As no one could agree, no action was taken, and that left the night in the hands of the power roles. Alright. Everyone with power roles, please tell me what you wish to do. Wolves, PM each other. Talk to your heart's content about who you target is. The Alpha may contact me with the decision.
  3. Oh, hello... were you looking for something? I could always get yo-- Oh... you're naked... right... u///u Sorry, I'll give you some privacy...
  4. FUCK YEAH! *brings back two pitchers of the stuff, hands one to TPAM and chugs*
  5. Eh... I've had worse things randomly occupying my bed... You want some Kool-aid?
  6. New vote: No lynch- 3 (Shift, Kamil, Pinkie) ~ds8~- 3 (antismurf, Xweet, dash)
  7. You may take your time with the vote. Don't feel the need to rush it out or wagon someone. At least understand the full range of options first: You may vote against someone. You may abstain from the vote. You may also vote not to lynch. These are your main options. The vote will end on the 1st, and until then, feel free to talk and try and root something out of your fellow players. Good luck. PS: Vote is now: No lynch- 1 (Shift the Third) ~ds8~- 3 (antismurf 9001, MrXweet, dash blast)
  8. >w< This is the same problem that happened in my last forum. Too many people just stopped playing, and the game fell apart. The difference is that it didn't happen there until 15-or-so games in, when it was getting to be the same players every game with the same strategies. I really hope the whole thing doesn't fall apart. I hate having to kick players. Anyways, I'll set a deadline for the 1st of Feb. I won't kick people for not posting, yet. That doesn't come until the game starts moving, but it's suggested that players get themselves out there before things get messy.
  9. You may roleplay as you choose or see fit, but the intent of D1 is to see if anything can be rooted out, or just to skip it entirely and pass into the night. PS The vote is: No Lynch- 1 (Shift the Third) Hello? Where did everyone go?
  10. Big Mac continues to keep his silence. He walks over to his sister, and sits down, being careful to watch everyone. The last thing that needed to happen was for one of them to attack again. (Hint: I'm asking AJ for an alliance. I didn't really make it clear in the RP post, but that's what I'm doing.)
  11. Alright, so. This game isn't quite like the other. Votes are NOT private. They are part of the metagame and can give players a valuable clue where one is needed. Beyond that, players do have the option of NLing. Not sure if that's available in the other game or not. This game will force you to be very careful and to read into everything. Anyways, all of that aside. I'll go ahead and get the story started. You guys will begin voting when I've posted it. Good luck. Deep within the Everfree forest, there lay a little village. It was entirely deserted for centuries, and no one really knew what to think of it, so they pretended it didn't exist. Only a select few understood its true purpose, for they had been there before. One morning the village found itself inhabited by many strange ponies, most of whom were likely not aware of how they'd even gotten there. After all, who would suspect that in their sleep, a wolf had snuck into each of their rooms, and teleported them here through his dark magic. The ten ponies would all wake up on their own, in their own home, and with no recollection of anything that'd happened within the last month. They would come outside to see if anyone was around to ask them what happened, but to their dismay, the only creature that wasn't asking any questions was a little black wolf in the center of the village. He made no move as they drew close to have a look at this mysterious creature, but no one here knew how to speak to a wolf, so they were all just as clueless as before. Someone stepped forward to try and say something, but the wolf inched away. They stepped closer and he inched away again, baring his teeth for a split second. This didn't go over well with the ponies as they began arguing about the strange creature before them. Dash blast stepped back, away from the crowd. "N-n-no! D-don't get any closer. There's no telling what kind of diseases that thing might have!" EM002 and LawfulChaotic were quick to nod their agreement with the first pony's statement. Rfali, on the other hand stepped towards the wolf, curious to its shape. He started thinking out loud, "It's kinda shaped like a timberwolf, but... it's all flesh and fur. I really doubt it means any harm, if it's just like the rest of us." The argument started to ring out loudly as the wolf's ears fell back and his tail became tucked. All this attention was making him very nervous, and the result was as natural as one could expect: retaliation. The wolf got up on all fours and barked angrily at the crowd. He immediately leaped at the nearest pony to him and bit into their hoof. He scratched another one, and attacked quite a few others before running off into the Everfree Forest to find a hiding place. None of the ponies seemed to know what had just happened, but they all decided to carry out the day as if nothing was wrong. However, something was wrong. Something was very wrong, indeed, and it wouldn't be until morning that the ponies would know about it. Lemon awoke in the middle of the night to a knock on the door. Who would be bothering him at 3AM? He pressed an ear to the door carefully, but couldn't hear anything else. So, out of curiousity, he opened it. There, on the doorstep, was a very rough-looking pony who seemed to be in a lot of pain, as if their skeletal structure was changing entirely. Lemon freaked out and shut the door, immediately barring it and blocking of the windows. He wasn't sure what that was, but he was very sure he didn't want anything to do with it. Strangely enough, despite Lemon spending the entire night in fear, the strange werewolf-type creature didn't make any more attempts to get in. The next morning, there was no evidence of the wolf ever having been there, but paranoia was running through the whole town. No one knows what happened, and no one was sure what to think, but they were very sure something had to be done. It was time to take a vote: Who was everyone most afraid of? (Please note that the story is just a story and the characters chosen for the actions have no bearing on who is what. Feel free to discuss your actions, but the vote is public, so keep that in mind.)
  12. I mean yours game wound up with an RP style, whereas I intend mine to be more to-the-point. At the same time, your stories will be more serious while mine will likely be pretty silly, since I plan on killing characters without actually killing them.
  13. Mmm, fun times. Alright, I'll sign you two up and add you to the roster. And yes, the funsmith setup is hilarious. I may set that up just for laughs, at some point, but for now, we'll stick to more simplistic setups. Also, for anyone wondering about how this game will interact with the other one: It won't. They'll be two separate games. The differences will be in how the setup plays. While Pinkie's will be a touch silly in gameplay, mine will be more serious. Although, it's hard to say what will happen. That's really up to the players themselves. So, I'll go ahead and make it official: I'll be passing out the PMs at 11PM CST (GMT -6) and I'll be making the actual story post at some point the following morning. Most of you will be asleep, so the exact time isn't important.
  14. Alright, I'll be starting this game within the next two days. It'll either be in the evening, tomorrow (GMT -6), or it'll be when I get home from work Wednesday. The players thus far are: Kamil ~ds8~ Dash Blast antismurf9001 MrXwwetok EM002 AwesomeLemon Rfaliuntbtoewrdsahsyh Champion RD92 Is pending. They have yet to respond to my message, so I don't know if they're actually playing. If the roster stays the same, the roles will be: Alpha Wolf Beta Wolf Doctor Cop Vanilla townie x4 The cop can investigate people at night to try to figure out who they are. 9 players will result in this setup: Alpha Wolf Beta Wolf Gamma Wolf Doctor Cop Gunsmith Vanilla Townie x3 I'll explain Gunsmith, if we get there. I'd rather not have 9 players, though. That'd be utter chaos. >w> Any more will force me to create another setup, which I'll do, if necessary.
  15. Big Mac, who'd been mulling the whole situation over, all the while sticking close to his sister, just in case the lights went down, again, finally felt the need to speak up. "Now, the way I reckon it, no one can be harmed by something, if it can't get to them... Hows about we kick people out, one-by-one? Ifin it happens again, we'll know we were wrong, but if it doesn't, we know who it was." He paused a moment, noticing everyone staring at him. He wasn't exactly the most heavily worded stallion in all of Equestria, so it was to be expected. He just nodded and agreed with himself, "Eeyup."
  16. That's 8. Plenty to play a respectable game. I'll wait for the other game to start out of respect and so I can modify this one to make it not the exact same, should the need arise. Also, it'll give everyone else ample time to sign up, should they so choose.
  17. Do you have room for any others? Because I have a friend that's more than happy to play. >.>
  18. I'm in, though I'll be keeping my own 'sona: an actual wolf. Just how I like to play. ^^ (Though, if I /must/ choose a pony of some sort, I'll take Big Mac)
  19. I did see your topic, after I was informed about it. I also assumed, as the others may have, that it was closed, and if it's all the same, I would be /more/ than happy to join your game, and I do believe I have a friend that's willing to play, as well. However, since we have two topics, how about we treat them as two separate games and let things run their course for the time being? After all, I'm not going to let this game disappear into the ether.
  20. I think that's six players? I have a friend that I'm going to direct to this site, now that I feel certain this game will go through, and within two days, this game should be up and running. As an added update, there are two other roles that are both village-sided. One of them will be left out, if the numbers don't add up, but they are both roles that can protect the town at night. One of them is the Doctor, who chooses someone to visit at night. This will save them from wolf attack, should the wolves choose to attack that person. Doc can choose to protect himself, of course. The other role is that of the Body Guard, which acts a lot like the doctor, but with a more dramatic result. Body Guards have a 50/50 chance of killing the wolf, should they choose right, and should that chance fail, the body guard will die, instead of the wolves' chosen victim. Body Guards cannot guard themselves, this time, and if there aren't enough players, I won't be using it.
  21. This. Exactly this. People seem worried that the implication of Twilight becoming an allicorn--which isn't even remotely hinted at, mind you--would ruin the series or even end it. That's not even remotely the case. Maybe she'll gain more magical power. Maybe she'll be given extra duties, or maybe she's just powerful enough, now, to be considered a princess-in-waiting. Whatever the case, I'm sure this episode will be great, and I'm sure there will be at least one more season.
  22. A Coronation is a ceremony by which one becomes royal. We can be sure there will be a coronation of some sort, and people just seem to assume that means someone becomes an allicorn. See above point: A coronation doesn't give someone magical power. It just makes them royal. Now think about what you've just said. Twilight already gained the power. She's been doing it for the whole series.
