  1. If it helps, I did find a website that explains what to do and what can be done when someone is bullying; StopBullying.gov If you think this website has anything that can help, we could present what we know to the kid's mom and hope it helps bring the bullies to justice.
  2. This may be a weird thing to point out, but I notice Maud here is wearing a tunic, which obviously would obstruct any Cutie Mark. I could be over-analyzing here, but anyone wonder if this might be a plot point?
  3. I'll say this much: whenever I somehow get diet cola (which rarely happens since my family prefers regular soda), what I usually do is squirt some lemon juice, pour in 4 or 5 spoonfuls of sugar, and stir well, it helps make the taste enjoyable (or at least bearable). If you got diet cola, and you're only concern is that you don't like the taste, I suggest giving it a try.
  4. This was great! easily better than the last episode. Solid, well-paced writing, strong characterization, and great humor to boot, and that scene with the Chimera? awesome! What's next? the ponies defeat the Balrog? no wonder we rarely see Royal Guards in Ponyville, to survive (much less thrive) while within walking distance of creatures of almost every mythology ever? All those Ponies seriously gotta secretly be badass mofos. Also, we get Cajun Ponies... huh, interesting, part of me hopes we'll learn about about them in a later episode (or somewhere in in the IDW comics), I also find myself interested in learning some Cajun cooking for some reason.
  5. Kinda weirdly humorous to see Applejack worry like that, though I get the feeling that is clip takes place late in the episode...
  6. Okay, here's my opinion; The episode was okay, but I don't consider it the strongest out of the Season 4 episodes. Granted, the aesop is good, and even done well from a writting perspective, but ironically what the episodes biggest selling point, the Breezies were my biggest problem with the episode Aside from SeaBreeze, who I found pretty likeable and will get to later, the rest of the Breezies, I'm afraid, I didn't find that likable. Their selling point is supposed to be how cute they are, but frankly they failed to hit cuteness proximity (essentially, they failed where Baby Applejack succeeded with me in getting my 'D'AAWW's out). When I first saw them, I wasn't 'Awww! there's so adorable!' I was think, 'What am I looking at? they like some hybrid of pony, dragonfly, and Olive Oyl' And even if I did find them as adorable as the ponies (and Spike) seemed to, I wouldn't really have seen it as excuse for acting spoiled around Fluttershy, I know it's all intentional and their spoiledness is the focal point of the episode, but I wish there was more done to make the Breezies likable character-wise, or at least explain why they needed to go out to bring that pollen to their home in the first place (I might've missed it, but I didn't hear the explanation for what the Breezies need the pollen for). Also, with the way they've taking advantage of Fluttershy, I think they made Angel Bunny look like his namesake. And I was more astonished by how frail and fragile the Breezies seemed to be. I know that's supposed serve as the one of the reasons they need help from the ponies for their pollen-gathering mission, but I only felt this begged some questions of how they survived long enough to get pony assistance if they were still gathering pollen before then. And I wish the the Breezie's strengths and weaknesses were portrayed in a more balanced way somehow. I'm sorry, but what weakened the episode for me was that I couldn't find good reason to be concerned about any of the Breezies (aside from Seabreeze), let alone want to see them get home, part of me wondered if the episode will be with only Seabreeze getting home and the other Breezies forced to be out on their own as consequence for their being lazy and manipulative. Edit: Really, Seabreeze was what saved the episode for me, he the only one of the Breezies I liked and felt sorry for him being in the position he was in and how he had to put up with the way his group was acting. If I was pony in Equestria, I probably would've volunteered to simply take Seabreeze back home and not give hoot about the slackers he's had to deal with. Good gravy! I might horrible....
  7. And Fluttershy thinks they're the most rare, kind, and adorable magical creatures in all of Equestria. I mean no disrespect to the Breezies, but really, Flutters, if you're looking a creature of that description, most humans I know would suggest you only need to look in a mirror. Seriously, Hasbro, I know you like promoting your new toys, but if you're looking to sale with cuteness, you already got the ponies. You could likely get the same profit selling... oh I don't know, a talking Babyjack plushie? one that looks just like in the Apple Family Reunion episode flashback, maybe? Or are you actually trying to cut down on cuteness because you're afraid of getting sued by Bronies and Pegasisters that suffered heart attacks and diabetus? Okay, now I'm just rambling, carry on, Season 4!
  8. Okay, this was a good episode and all, but there's one thing I can't get over; Hayburgers? just.. Hayburgers? This is surreal and bizarre even by the show's standards.
  9. I found this episode quite enjoyable. though I thought the editing was a little weird at the last minute, and while I know Pinkie Pie is known for being innocently insensitive at times, I thought her moments of being so with Fluttershy were kinda pushing it. Barring those flaws, however, there was alot to like, it's creatively written, the songs (well, the one song played several times and the one Fluttershy sang at the start) were enjoyable, and the aesop is a really good one for both kids, and the Brony and Pegasister audience, epsecially since I know some among the latter groups tend to be afraid of being ostracized for liking the show, and this can be a comforting message that you shouldn't worry about what other people think of what makes you your true self.
  10. I think what you're seeing has become really just something of a phase the fandom's going through. Sure, I bet there are still fans crying in outrage over what happened to Twilight, but nowadays it seems to be few and far between, the rest of us don't let the whole Twilicorn thing bother us (made easier when the dev team and Season 4 confirmed most the things many of us thought would happen actually won't happen) , or at very least not let the change ruin the entire show for us. though the bottom line is; no, Twilight's not becoming hated, I think we just now have a minority of fans who seem to now like showing themselves to be impossible to please just because things in the show aren't going the way they want it.
  11. Well, if you like G1, that's your business. I personally have only seen that Tirak episode on Youtube, and while I will say it had its moments, it didn't catch my interest as much as Friendship is Magic did because I didn't find anything that made me want to see more of it. The story sometimes had moments that didn't really make sense to me and some of the things that you'd think would for interesting plot points and backstory I thought were sort of glanced over at best. I liked FIM because, yeah, it does take itself more seriously than other incarnations, but that's one of the reasons it became such of success and drew the audience it did. It took the franchise, which had a relatively simple concept, expanded on it to the point where it formed it's own unique identity, causing FIM to be an example of how, in the hands of a great writer, you can make an extraordinary story out of anything. MLP:FIM may not be simpler like G1, but it wasn't supposed to be, it became its own thing through memorable characters, great writing, a unique and interesting world, and an endearing overall theme about friendship, and became successful because of it. And it's because of this that this show as united people in ways that no other fanbase ever has, it united people through common interests in friendship, harmony, and compassion that many people in today's relatively jaded world would find bizarre at least and alien at most. That's why the dev team in this show seem so interested in pleasing their Periphery Demographic at time, they know what they've created is more than just a show, it's a tool that changing, and will likely continue to change, the way people accept themselves and each other for the better. If you want further details, I suggest watching the Bronies documentary or even this video which I'll present a link to bellow;
  12. For me, it was mainly the idea of taking MLP and turning it into what is essentially a high school drama. There was seriously alot more they could've done with the concept, and the idea of Twilight having to beat a high school bully in what is essentially a popularity contest? what what they went for? Had the story been given much more creativity, perhaps to center more around the contrast between the human and pony world, I think it could've been better, and you'd think Meghan McCarthy could've taken advantage of the longer running time to write a better, more complex story. though I probably wouldn't have minded that so much if Sunset Shimmer was more than just a two-dimensional, alpha bitch bully with a serious superiority complex, which I personally makes her an insult to the franchise because we're talking about a show loaded with memorable, three-dimensional characters that continues to be one of the biggest strengths of the show to this day. Had Shimmer been given much more depth and complexity to her, or at very least been given more of her backstory to explain why she was acting the way she did, why she is so insanely determined to be on top, and/or why she seems to adamant that she thinks she so rightfully deserves to be above everybody (or everypony, consider where she's from), I might've been more forgiving toward the movie. But did we get any decent amount of depth or backstory on her, no! just the two-dimensional bully that got easily forgiven at the end (if I was Twilight, I would've brought Shimmer back to Equestria to face the consequences of her actions proper.)
  13. She seemed convinced enough to almost disqualify Twilight from the Fall Formal for something she didn't do, still doesn't make sense to me why Luna didn't at least do so with Shimmer over something she DID do.
  14. Okay, remember that part where Flash presented proof to Vice-Principal Luna that cleared Twilight's name when Shimmer accused her of destroying the Fall Formal decoration? Here's my question; why didn't Vice-Principal Luna do anything to punish Shimmer for framing Twilight? Students from any school I know would've gotten detention for something like that, Luna could've at least had Shimmer disqualified from the Fall Formal Princess election as punishment, but she didn't even do that! what's up with that?
  15. Okay, I like this episode, but.. Am I the only one that thought the part where Applejack pretended to be like Rarity was a little creepy?
  16. Christopher Lee, Mel Brooks, and/or Kevin Conroy. Especially if Christopher Lee plays somepony that's badass.
  17. Yeah, funny thing, isn't it?, unless that preview simply didn't get to his response yet. If he really is taking it well though, I suspect that; a) He secretly believes (presumably for status quo reasons at least) that Rarity's plans to woo that stallion are gonna crash and burn, but is keeping it to himself. B ) He's actually dismayed by the idea, but is keeping it to himself 'cause he wants his beloved to be happy, and thus, isn't doing anything about it. Either way, I do hope this episode at very least explains why Rarity never went into a relationship with Spike. Okay, maybe the age gap is an obvious reason, but still, some in-universe clarification would be nice.
  18. I easily consider Pinkie Pride tied with Pinkie Apple Pie as my two favorite Season 4 episodes ever! I'll be honest, I haven't seen much of Weird Al myself, heck, I think I've only heard one of his songs, 'The Saga Begins', so I didn't really know what to expect from him making a guest appearance. But he was amazing as Cheese Sandwich! in fact, the entire episode was s amazing I almost can't put it to words, the songs were great, the characterization was great, the pacing was great, the writing was great. It was just overall.... overall... Cheese Sandwich: Epic? Yes, yes it was. Though one minor thing I think I liked most was hearing about Cheese's backstory, and how Pinkie was the mare who inspired him to become a party pony, and I'll admit, I liked seeing how apparently Pinkie did move to Ponyville as a filly. Granted, I know it does raise some questions, but I think it does so in a good way; it makes us look forward to learning how and why Pinkie came to Ponyville and it may serve as a plot point for a future episode.
  19. well, it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would, everypony seemed to be ignoring him, so I get the suspicion that we were supposed to as well. I just hope if, at anytime the show brings him up again, it's done strictly in these silent cameos (though I'd prefer he didn't appear again at all, personally).
  20. Weird thing to complain about, I've never even really noticed the Wilhelm Scream in this. Anyway, my opinions on the episode; This may shock you to the core, but I think this episode was just... okay. And I'll admit, Discord's role in this episode is actually one of the reasons i don't like this episode as much as previous Season 4 episodes. Let me elaborate; when I first saw Discord in the Return to Harmony 2-parter, I actually didn't like him, and please hear me out before you call blasphemy on me (if any of you were planning to). No disrespect to John De Lancie, I know he's great actor and the way he voiced Discord helped make the Draconequus' scenes tolerable even when he does something I didn't like, but when I saw Return to Harmony, Discord felt (at the time) to me like he was a Villain Sue with how he easily took away the Elements of Harmony and defeated the Mane 6 (his failed attempt to talk Fluttershy into being 'discorded' was funny though), I know he's meant to be looked upon as a bigger threat than Nightmare Moon, but I'm pretty sure you can do this in a way that feels more balanced. On the other hand, I actually LIKED Discord when he appeared in Keep Calm and Flutter On and in the Season 4 Premiere, I found his scenes genuinely funny and I kept looking forward to what he was gonna do next. But in Three's a Crowd, actually found him being more annoying than funny half the time, the way he seems to act slightly like a drama queen about his 'sickness' didn't help much, and the way he goes out of his way to make it so Twilight and Cadence are the ones taking care of him, especially knowing what they were up to beforehand, made me see him less as a funny anti-hero and more of a manipulative a-hole despite being reformed, he still had some funny moments here and there, but half the time he seems to act so much of a pain to Twilight and Cadence that I was almost afraid this was some elaborate scheme of Discord to get away with something malicious. I probably would've liked this better if Discord did a more convincing job with his fake sickness, like pretending his powers have weakened from him being sick or something. Though I did like how karma started crashing down on Discord with how the giant worm actually managed to genuinely get him sick, which does show that he has more vulnerabilities than just the Elements of Harmony, which I think says a lot about his species as a whole, and makes me want to see more of Discord if only to learn more about his kind. Plus, I bet now Twilight's thinking; "We may not have the Elements of Harmony anymore, at least if Discord causes trouble again, we know we can simply sic a giant worm at him." I guess the gist of it is this; I like Discord when he's written in a way that makes him feel more balanced as a character, and when he's not, I find merely tolerable at best.
  21. So much blue on Discord..... You think he got sick from drinking too many blueberry Slurpees? Maybe he literally has the blues? quick! someone get him a saxophone! ...Dang it! how is it I can make around six jokes on the color pink yet only two with the color blue?
  22. I suspect that the Simple Ways episode will possess an aesop along the lines of; "You shouldn't try to befriend someone if you can't still be yourself while your at it" or something like that, if so, I suspect the episode will end with Rarity failing to get Tenderhoof's attention only to later take comfort in the fact she has friends that appreciate her for who she is. But I will admit, I am hoping this will end with Spike getting at least a little bit closer to hooking up with Rarity, or at very least explain why she hasn't pursued a relationship with him, after all, she already knows Spike's feelings for her. And I am looking forward to Filli Vanilli, it's clear to me that this episode will to do more to explore parts of Fluttershy we've never seen before (seriously, did anyone here have any guesses to her favorite music before hearing about this episode?), another thing to note is that Fluttershy, I think, is second only to Scootaloo in having the least amount of known backstory out of all the main characters, so I hope we learn more about Fluttershy's backstory in this episode. With Twilight Time, well, part of me really hates to say this, but I do hope it will clarify certain things about Twilight's status that haven't been explained yet, it does make me wonder though if the episode will end with some change in the status quo, and if not, how the said status quo will be restored at the end. Though I think it's obvious that Diamond Tiara is gonna find some way to mock the CMC for getting popularity from their relationship with Twilight, though It makes me curious as to how she's gonna pull it off with that scenario...
  23. You're not taking into account that Twilight's princesshood was meant to be little more than her reward for achieving full understanding of friendship as well as the end of her journey of going from student to teacher, it wasn't supposed to be looked at as a more drastic of a change than that. And the Season 4 premiere had Twilight learn how she actually shouldn't let her position change anything about her relationship with her friends. So having her now being a full-time princess would only screw that episode's aesop. And you didn't take into account my previous statement of how it would be out-of-character for Twilight to use her authority unless a problem is serious enough to require it, which actually explains why she didn't order anypony to simply give her a cab; knowing her, she'd think doing so would just make her look petty and entitled. Really, if she used her authority as a princess for mundane things, it may screw with the modesty she's know for, leading to considerable character derailment, if she didn't it would lead to the point you're trying to bring across. If you really want to see Twilight take advantage of her being a princes, refer to my previous statement on how we'll have to wait 'till a situation is dire enough to truly demand it. Bottom line, in your case, we're looking more at what is, to an extent, a 'Damned if you do, damned if you don't' scenario, and given the initial reception Twilight's coronation got, we can't really blame the dev team for not wanting to take any unneeded risks.
  24. Need I remind you that Twilight is still uncomfortable being looked upon as royalty? It would make sense that she wouldn't be willing to use her authority unless a situation is serious enough to require her to do so. She's humble enough that she'd go out of her way to avoid being treated like royalty, of course the good people of Equestria aren't gonna notice or even care that she's an Alicorn, she doesn't want them too. It also explains why she hasn't worn any of her royal attire since the Season 4 premiere, Twilight's not the type to want to draw attention to herself and wouldn't see any point in doing so needlessly (unlike Trixie). Twilight's always been the sort of pony that wants to be treated like anypony else and she likely always will be. Heck, Twilight likely took advantage of the fact she was only recently crowned to immediately and deliberately downplay her status to assure it doesn't change the way ponies think of her or act around her.
