Suddenly clicking onto Mantorok's plan, though mostly because he was so annoyed at him, Western turned to him and said in a loud and slightly hysterical voice 'No. I understand that you think you're the leader of this pack but don't forget that you were pretty much against our expedition the whole time. We nearly had to drag you out here and now you have the audacity to shush me? How about you go and side with these savages then? It's what you wanted all along, isn't it? To try and stop our expedition!' After a deep breath he turned back to the majority of the group and said 'I'm sorry you had to hear that. I do tend to put up with a lot but it can suddenly all burst out. Though I'm sure it won't happen again.' he finished with a deliberate wink now that the tribal ponies couldn't see.

Western, who up until recently was staying near the back of the group, decided that he had had enough of the macho talk and decided to try and do something productive. He quickly pushed his way to the front and said 'Listen. This is your turf and we respect that. All we want to do is stay here a little while and then we'll be on our way. Surely you can let us stay here for a while without us using anything other than fully renewable resources, like water and hay?' His voice became more mellow and honeyed. 'You're reasonable ponies and you could make room for us for a few weeks, couldn't you?

(OOC: For those wondering, I was actually talking about Mantorok's servant. I was mistaking him for a personal guard) Even though he had decided now that the other blue pony in the cabin would be the best to talk to, he still didn't give up with the first one. 'Well' he said, 'My name's Western Dusk, but you can call me whatever you like. What should I call you two, hmm? If I am worthy of you to make the effort of saying at least one word' aiming the last comment at the pony sat on the seat who obviously liked to think he was better than others, for some reason.

When Western's taxi finally arrived at the station, he was pleasantly surprised to see that the train was still there. He quickly handed four bits to the driver and ran straight towards the train to get on before it left. Only when he got onto the carriage did he breath a sigh of relief and started to find a cabin at a much more leisurely pace. Almost immediately, he saw a pony that looked like it was standing guard of a cabin. Upon further inspection, he saw that inside the cabin was another pony who, while frail looking, appeared to be in charge of the other. Deciding that he would be a better pony to speak to, he asked 'Hey there! You here for the expedition too?'

I'll be happy to join this, it sounds good already. Can I be one of the research group as Western Dusk?

Why would you make a character as overpowered as this, it makes roleplaying boring.

I can't believe no-one has posted this yet. Hope you enjoy it here on the forums and that's all I can say after everyone else. Welcome.

(sorry I haven't been able to post for a while but my laptop's broken and I'm borrowing one at the moment. I may not be able to post again for a while.) After continuously trying to make friends with assurance, Western decided to try and find some other ponies. After searching the cavernous insides of the ship for a couple of hours (or how long it has been until now) he had nearly given up. A sudden boom and some commotion could be heard from the deck so Western rushed outside to see what the matter was. As soon as he stepped outside he saw Striker trying to keep up the mast. 'What in the hay is going on here!?!' he yelled as he rushed to help Striker keep up the mast.

Western Dusk turned back to face Assurance after watching Striker walk away. "Hey, how are you? My name's Western Dusk but you can call me anything you like." Western said with a smile on his face and a hoof held out in front of him to take Assurance's hoof and make acquaintances with her. (Oh, and by the way, in this role-play my Cutie mark will be two test tubes crossing with the foam at the top shaping a heart)

Western's smile grew larger as he said "Dusty sounds fine by me. And yes, I know the main facts about the expedition. We're going to this tower that has lots of harmful experimental machines that we need to avoid or fight to get to the huge treasure. Also, could you show me where the others are so I can introduce myself?".

Dusk took off his hat and bowed. "Hello there, nice to meet you" he said. "Yes, I know Autumn. She sent this letter asking for people to share in an adventure. I need a very large amount of bits to fund my research so I decided to sign up for it. Anyway, my name is Western Dusk, though you can call me what you like. I know I'm a bit late but hopefully you can still have me." He looked Striker in the eye with a smile on his face.

After a long night of walking, Western Dusk finally made it to the Inn. He looked around and the first thing he noticed was a gaping hole in the side of the Inn. Shocked, he went to investigate but heard noises coming from behind the Inn. Having walked around it he froze and looked up at the airship sitting there proudly. A smile appearing on his face when realizing that it must be the airship taking the crew on the adventure he had signed up for. His smile quickly vanished as he realized the ship was about to take off. Quickly, he ran to it before it could leave him behind.
