  2. It ain't dying, who's idea was that. I agree that it's probably wishful thinking non cartoon pony loving people. Season 4 is just around the corner well, in the distant corner. We also got Equestria Girls for those who like it, like myself so if Star Trek lasted with only 3 season, I say we are in pretty good shape. Here have a nice comic cover art, it should cheer you right up. The symmetry is really cool.

Awesome Comic Book Art (Official: not fan made) :

Even after the inevitable end of MLP:FIM, I don't expect the fandom to die out. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we reach a point where we developed so far as a fandom that we create even more fan-made episodes; maybe even make an entire fan-made series? Who knows?

This. The show gets so much love from it's fans I highly doubt that even if Friendship is Magic doesn't last above 100 episodes which i seriously doubt since I can still see so many venues the show could go to from one character alone! Bronies, Pegasisters, Pony Folk pre friendship is magic are here to stay. XD

I wouldn't mind an Equestria Girls show since the characters are still the same personality wise so for me I think it would still have the charms of the original show. Though I don't think it will be as popular as FIM because FIM is awesome fantasy pony sitcom which has a new world feel. Equestria Girls may have jokes, but in the long run it may not last since I can't really see anything they can expand on. I believe they should just stick to this being a one-shot, and focus on MLP:FIM. This guy loves ponies more. Good movie, though. That's my honest opinion. : D

  4. Practice Drawing Ponies, Practice more Java programming, Watch Equestria Girls(squee), Go to Comic Con 2013 San Diego for the first time(double squee), play some new video games, and finally watch MLP:FIM. Maybe visit some family.

Haven't though of anything else yet. Maybe fix my room, I'm thinking of painting it purple and putting up "fat head pony stickers". Let's see how it turn out. XD

  5. Mass Effect Series. I tried to get into it, but it just didn't click with me. Halo Series and Killzone Series clicked with me, but Mass Effect not so much. I know its a popular series too, but I just don't understand the appeal. Maybe like ponies, I am attracted to art style first and then I see if there is a good story. I don't care how realistic Mass Effect is, it just gives me uncanny valley syndrome. sleep.png

  6. Hmm, I already answered this thread but since it's so fun discussing pony sexiness XD. I'll give another answer. I think Nurse Red Heart is pretty nice looking (Dat Shhh!!! when she told Pinkie to be quite in Baby Cakes). Though overall, I think I like white fur coat ponies since Rarity is also pretty hot. Her accent is to die for and she is very independent and knows what she wants. Which is a huge plus for me. : D

  7. To me the picture looks either like a ten-gallon cowboy hat or a snake that ate something. The overall structure of the picture looks like a hat from the old west. The reason I think it is snake is because of the two beady little eyes in the front. lol

  8. I will marry Twilight Sparkle, what can I say I got a thing for geeky girls. Maybe since I am geeky too. Although Rarity is starting to be very attractive especially from reading the comic book and the episodes in season 2 very independent and "knows what she wants" gal I find that awesome. XD

  9. Now that I think about it.... I have no idea why males watch/like MLP more than females! img-1309690-1-biggrin.png I just never really figured out why.... never did....

Well, for me it's all about the heartwarming stories, and the awesome characters and their respective personalities. Also the fact, I liked cute things to begin with coming from an anime background and all. I watch "moe" shows "girls doing cute things" shows.

I think the reason why there is such a huge male fanbase is the fact that the ponies have distinct and attractive personalities. Heck, I fell in love with each and everyone of them. Combine this with the fact, "most" guys typically don't exercise friendship on a deep level. Most of the time it's just, "What's up, Bro!" typically superficial. So in essence the show is teaching us what friendship is about, something "most" girls already know. : ) My two cents.

  10. I would second this notion. I won't be able to go since I live here in the west coast, so it would be awesome if someone going could snag a few. I have my wallet open. XD

  11. I want a good MLP console game; maybe something like an E10-rated Elder Scrolls or Saints Row-like open-world experience with elements from the comic.

After what they did to Fighting is Magic, they should have at least seen the potential market for the game. Geez, it had a lot of followers. Hasbro really should invest in a video game of MLP somewhere along the line of an RPG. The MLP:FIM universe is pratically built for it.

Thanks of course to the wonderful writers, artists, and Lauren Faust for bringing it together. As the hub slogan states, "It can happen!" Make it happen, Hasbro!! I got $59.99 to $99.99 dollars for you.

I'm dead serious I'd pay 100 dollars for a pony game. XD

  12. Our little massive fandom has been the best thing that has ever happened for Hasbro. Transformers was it's only major IP, and it was starting to wane in popularity when they greenlit Friendship is Magic. Despite what some overzealous fans might claim, Hasbro loves the brony phenomenon, and as long as we keep watching, they'll keep renewing the show.

Season 1 had amazing ratings, better than anything else on the Hub at the time. Season 2 destroyed that record, and Season 3 dominated the record that Season 2 had set. Viewership is still on the rise, and I'd wager we may see at least another two seasons and perhaps another spin-off before popularity starts to wane.

Thanks, for your optimistic input. I'm glad another fan sees it the way I do. Also, your are so right of those overzealous fans, they just make me so depressed. I'm glad I joined mlp forums, finally some actual mature conversation. XD

  13. I have question for you all. Who thinks that the show could potentially have a season 5? I know that it's really too early to tell and my question is probably moot at this point, but I'd like to know how everyone else feels. My reason for thinking there would be more seasons is that Equestria girls will be coming out and since it is a companion show, I would find it kinda odd that they would stop the main show (Hasbro's bread winner) before ending the companion. I don't think even the core audience (little girls) would like that. So logically, for me I think it could mean more seasons. : )

I mean personally I'd like the show to end when each one of the mane 6 have their dreams made or at least a couple of more episodes exploring the mane 6 lives (slice of life stuff).

  14. Now that I think of it Twilight Sparkle is totally overpowered.

She not only has a crazy amount of magical power within her, as we know from her entrance exam and the fact the Celestia does acknowledge her strange power, she also has the power of science with her, as we know from her doing some time dilation stuff in the time travel episode. It would be super bad if she were to become corrupted. As others have noted, it may not happen because of the nature of the show, but I think I'd like to see it.

Wouldn't it be crazy if she harnest all that power and took down both Celestia and Luna at the same time. Woah.... I can picture the fight going down like this Princess Cadence would be shielding, Princess Celestia and Luna as they fight with Twilight. DBZ fight... DBZ fight...

  15. I will do mine in a letter. : )

    Dear Princess Celestia,

From watching you and your subjects I learned to be more accepting of others and judge on a person's character rather than first looks.  I learned that old stereotype of guys not being allowed to like girl things or vice versa is rather silly, I say anyone should be allowed to like what they like. Most of all, I learned that being a guy doesn't mean you have to bottle up your feelings, you should be able to express yourself to the fullest intent something I thought girls were only allowed to do without hesitation. It forms better relationships that way, instead of hiding behind a false "manly" bravado. On a sillier note, I learned to accept more colors in my wardrobe that I used to think would be lame for guys to wear.

Further I also wanted to tell you, that you pony folk are awesome and never will I look down on ponies again.

    Your student,

  16. My three favorite cartoon openings (aside from Yugioh, Pokemon, and MLP:FIM) Here are why I think are the very best catchy intros ever. Oriemo Working!!,  Mahoraba~ Heartful Days ~. Oriemo and Working are the latest anime in Japan and Mahoraba was a gem back in 2005. Ruby Gloom was cartoon from Canada if I remember correctly.

Oh, dude you should have have taken Philosophy 102 -Knowledge, Religion, and Power class with me in college. Things can get a freaky, when you start breaking it down. I'm sure I still have my notes from the class since it was so interesting. Now I don't know how much you know, but there are basically three different philosopher takes on the subject.

The three are determinism, free will, and compatibilism. Hard Determinism says we have no free will and are dictated directly by nature. Free will of course is we have all the choice. Now where it gets really funky is compatibilism or the belief that determinism and free will can coexist. Basically, for compatibilism we have on and off free will in which it depends on the situation as you said we have natural survival instincts. So my answer would be somewhat since for me it seems we have sometimes a free will (choice), and other times we have to act on our instinct (nature). It makes sense for me that way.

Our professor said though there are no right answers (obviously), everyone has their opinions. What counts is sticking with what you believe in and that you can sleep at night. lol

I'm sure you could look at other political parties in you textbook and model the your Brony Political Party after them. Except you would need to change your political platform to something Brony's stand for.

I think as many of you pointed out that the art could be a lot better, but as I said in another equestrian girls topic as long as their personalities remain intact the show will be good. I just hope that if they don't use the original voice actors, they find damn close ones because their voices were also a huge reason to why I like the show.

It can be done because some fan made videos on youtube have voice actors mimicking the voices rather well.

Also, Malakill those designs are so cute and matches the shows easy on the eyes design, I wonder why Hasbro didn't use those instead. Maybe, as some of you pointed out, that it is the race issue but seriously we deal with race issues in the real world so why shadow it from little girls it's a fact of life.

I will give this show a chance though, I might be pleasantly surprised maybe Hasbro formulated an anime-esque show. That would be a knee-slapper.
