    So I am using Linux mint 14 cinnamon for almost a month with only a little problems so far, except for the games but I knew it's not good for playing games so it's ok . Even TF2 is not working, I start it, the screen is just black and nothing happens. Anyway thanks for more responses i tought this thread was already dead.

    I have iphone 4... and nothing seems to work. It drives me mad.. I guess I will just use my mothers computer for it, it's propably the best solution.

    Somepony with Iphone/Ipod device syncing experience ? Because I have tried Banshee and Rhythmbox but they didn't work well. Banshee freezes just after connecting my Iphone and Rhythmbox synced my lybary and now none of the songs in my phone works. Edit: Amarok doesn't work too.

    So after all i have downloaded Cinnamon 64bit and it runs perfectly no installation problems or anything. Also the interface is more familiar to me than in Ubuntu. I like it so far. Again thank you for your help and recommendations. Please have a hug.

    Nothing helped, nothing works.. I guess I will try the Linux Mint this time. Maybe I will have more luck with it and it looks good too. I just hope it has fewer installation problems than Ubnutu One question: Should I download 32bit or 64bit one because somebody said that it's harder to get software working on the 64bit one. Mate, Cinammon, KDE or Xfce ?

    Dear princess celestia today i've learned a very valuable lesson don't type things in command line if you don't know what they do. So that's the story how my Ubuntu worked for 2 hours. I have installed some updates, programmes, tried to make Wine work with some guides and now it wont start... I just get the pruple screen and after that it goes to black with white cursor. I am able to run GRUB but that's all not even the safe mode runs. I guess I will look into it tomorrow because today i spent too much time with it.

    I got some error when trying to run it from wubi so I decided it will be easier to do it this way. The 12.10 iso I downloaded was corrupted or something so I decided to download 12.04 and it worked with the flash drive

    Thank you for your recommendations, I have already Ubuntu 12.10 on my flash drive and the installation finally works. Also I see there is lot of people to help you with your linux so i fear no more. Oh my god, there seems to be not only one problem.. sometimes I feel like my computer hates me. I can't finish the installation because it gives me an error... Apt configuration fail : An attemp to configure apt to install additional packages from the CD failed. Currently I am running it without installation because i have already formated my disk with windows so I have no working OS.

    I didn't even install it yet and I ran into a problem when booting from CD/DVD . If anypony knows how to help I will be thankful. I have spent my last 2 hours googling the solution but found nothing.. Boot failure : no default or ui configuration directive found I will give it a try tomorrow again with a Flash drive.

    I have too much free time and nothing to lose so I will remove whole windows and just install Ubuntu. If i won't like it I can install windows back anytime but thanks for posting

    Thank you very much guys, just downloaded and burned Ubuntu 12.10. I have looked at some reviews and liked it the most. If i will have any more questions can i PM you ?

    One more question. How much time did it take you to get comfortable with Linux based OS, so you were able to do almost anything you wanted ?

    Now I fear even more that i won't be able to use it , but as you say I can always try, just if it's worth the time to reinstall all the things I have in my computer

    I have never used anything else than Windows so I'm getting kind of bored. Currently i have Windows 8 and I don't like it very much. I like trying new things and I like to learn new things with Computer and customize. I'm just a bit worried that I would not be able to work with it properly because of just a little experience with commands. Do you think it's worth a try? Will I be able to play games with my friends who all have windows? for example : League of legends, World of Warcraft, TF2 ?

    At first i liked AppleJack most and I hated Pinkie for all her singing, but after a few episodes Fluttershy became my favorite pony and I started enjoying the songs from Pinkie .

      And it'll probably be everyone else's recommendation too. High-quality shirts that usually come with something extra if you order enough simultaneously, and the biggest variety I've seen. The only downside is that shipping costs can be astronomical if you don't live in the US, or so I've heard.

    Hey there! On Sunday I am going to London for a week and I would like to purchase some brony T-shirt there because in our country there are no shops with this stuff and shipping from online stores is just too expensive for one T-shirt. Are there any stores in London I could visit ?

    Hey there I was in nearly the same situation as you are now, I wanted to go into programming but i didn't know much about it. I asked my friends and they told me to start with html css and javascrip. I tried to learn from books but after a week I gave up because from the book it was kind of boring. Then another friend who I tought was the last person to be into something like this showed me Codecademy http://www.codecademy.com/#!/exercises/0 . It's like a course that will teach you the things you need to create a website. It's easy i think and very entertaining too, at least for me it was. I have just finished the CSS course and I'm currently working on one site just for training and the i will move on javascript and php after that.
