I'd like if the writers gave some credit to the kids/all of us following the show, and give them cutie marks. Cutie marks that make sense. They've hinted at what their CM's may be, but nothing solid yet. as long as their CM's make sense and fit, I'm okay. I would love if they did episodes where the CMCs got their CM's,but I understand if they don't... as they ar jut writers for a children's show. also, Sweetie Belle is best Filly.

Good points one and All! I guess I personally don't think it's been any failing on the part of the writers, simply a funny point. Just kind of funny how RD is bluntly honest almost to a fault, While in The Last Roundup AJ is Loyal to a fault while avoiding being honest at almost any cost, haha. I agree that they both display Honesty and Loyalty very effectively. Sometimes the entire concept of the Elements of Harmony seems a bit forced. Not that I don't enjoy seeing the gang shoot friendship lasers at bad guys.

Ohhhh mannnn. I just thought of another one I've been sitting on for a while. I'd LOVE to see an episode that takes place before Twilight Sparkle comes to Ponyville! to see how all the Characters interact. We know that RD and Flutershy know each other, but what about the other 3? Did they know each other or have any interactions?

I know that this may be nitpicky, or irrelevant, but I've been a little bit perturbed about the elements of harmony. Specifically Applejack (Honesty) and rainbow Dash (loyalty) They are 2 of my favorite Ponies, and they do bear similarities, however, watching the series, I've found time and again, that their elements seems to correspond more, not with themselves, but with one another. RainBow Dash seems to always be telling it like it is, without really worrying if she may be hurting somepony else's feelings. That seems to me, to count more for blunt honesty than loyalty. While AJ seems more steadfast in helping her friends no matter what. Also, (I know that this is to be Ironic in the writing, but) AJ always seems to be the one who has to lie. Like in Party of one, they make her Tell Pinkie that there is nothing going on inside the barn. That seems to me, more like something to be left to a loyal friend, than an honest friend. I dunno, I'm sure I'm overanalyzing a kids show.... let me know what you think

Hhhhmmm I tend to like most of what the writers do... 1. More Luna! I really liked her in the Luna Eclipsed episode. She doesn't need a whole show, just some more appearances. 2. Another good adventure, or something else added to show canon Like the way RD likes to read was referenced in a later Ep) 3. I'm not a big Rarity Fan... However I'd really like to see more development of her character. She's mostly been annoying, and prissy, But I want to see her show WHY she's the element of generosity, like in suited for success. ...... also, a Captain Picard Pony

request Could someone ponify me and my special somepony?
Urkelbot replied to Curry Pinch's topic in Requestria
Hey there, I Just have a quick question as to the design of your pony, What Color is your hair naturally? Aside from the dyed tips? -
This is a Stuffed Rainbow Dash I sewed from a pattern I modified. It's made from flannel and felt, craft foam, thread, and hot glue. (I used Flannel due to it's low price, availability, softness, and It was pretty close tot he color I needed) The Flannel was a bit disobedient when I tried to sew it together. If I had a sewing machine, I probably would have double stitched it. Her Cutie mark is made, and will be added soon... (She didn't do the Sonic Rainboom yet

Ghost Stories, Folklore, Legends and the Generally Supernatural
Urkelbot replied to Tyroq's topic in General Discussion
One thing that always stuck with me happened at a drive in movie when I was a teenager. We were goofing off and watching... some movie... As Good as it gets maybe? I dunno, Anyway, in the sky, above and to the left of the movie screen there was this bright, round blue-white flash, Like a huge camera flash, only too high and bright. I wondered if it was some sort of lightning I had never seen. There was no thunder, or other bad weather around. If anyone has an explaination, I'd like to hear any hypotheses. -
My Annoyance Over the General Annoyance Over Twilicorn
Urkelbot replied to Nilkad_Naqadah's topic in Season 3 Discussion
I sometimes worry that it may alter the feel, or direction of the show too much, but I trust that the writers know what they're doing. Mostly I think It's cool. It's interesting to shake things up, and it's nice to see a children's show with a lightly serialized storyline. Not to the point where you can't pick up and watch from any point in the series, but in that past events are not simply forgotten, and characters are developed and canonized. A lot of older kids shows were just the same thing every episode, it's engaging to see characters develop. Also I think Twilight would probably make a better Princess/Ruler than Celestia, who pretty much lets all hell break loose in Equestria every few weeks, or months -
request Could someone ponify me and my special somepony?

I'm trying to work on my artistic skills myself (especially in the Pony department), and I have some free time, So I could make an attempt. I can't promise anything spectacular! Some of my artwork is on the forums, also, I have a DA account if you'd like to see anything else I've done. http://urkelbot666.deviantart.com/ -
So, apparently ponies are sexual.
Urkelbot replied to Sir.Flutter Hooves's topic in Sugarcube Corner
I didn't read the article but I agree with @Fivefs, I think the culture in general has moved more toward sexualizing anything and everything. The sleek, stylized designs of the Ponies of the show are closer to what we are forced to consider visually appealing, not for the purpose of warping kids minds, or trying to give little boys Boners. It's just how style has evolved. I mean, Snow White had a plumper face, and more modest dress than say, Ariel or Jasmine. It' just the direction things have gone I think. Things in general are more sexualized. Cars, appliances, Even the Xbox 360 has some sexy curves. When I was young, Our TV was a Cube with big clunky dials and fake wood on the sides, and to play vidya games, we shoved grey squares into larger grey squares. Now things are smooth, sleek, slim, and shiny, from the products we're supposed to buy, to the models we're supposed to envy. ... I'll get off my Soap Box (which coincidentally, is highly polished Gun-Metal Black, with concave edges) -
Why does Gilda talk like she's from the 90s?
Urkelbot replied to TheMarkz0ne's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Because terms that originated, or gained popularity in the late 20th century are Rad. Old habits die hard... or she's a friggin' hipster, and says "90s" things because they're 'retro' and 'ironic'... sorry, I'm better now. I kinda agree with @ladybug on this. I personally like the terms I grew up with, even though they'e fallen out of style. I tend to still use the words Rad, slammin', bitchin', cool, sweet, dig (like or favor), Boss, Lame, weak, and 'I'd Buy that for a Dollar" -
Hahaha, I was totally baffled by the GMC cutie mark until I read your accompanying post! Whatever possesed you to draw him I approve.

pony Oc's in ponyville (critique welcomed <3)
Urkelbot replied to kiwitwist's topic in Visual Fan Art
I dig your style, Interesting character designs, and unique presentation They all appear very animated, and kinetic as well, if that makes any sense. I like the hoodie pony and the raver pony /) -
The body and limb shapes are good! Good job on the position (the crossed hooves are a nice touch), and I like the style of the shading and coloring too For some reason I really like the facial expression. It looks thoroughly unimpressed, haha. The ear is a bit pointy and triangular, but other than that A+ Keep it up

Which of your senses would you be willing to give up?
Urkelbot replied to Tual's topic in General Discussion
I've read that smell is the sense most closely connected with memory, and those who lose their sense of smell have a higher rate of depression than those who lose others. I love my sense of smell! I might have to go with taste, although blind people are able to live pretty fulfilling lives... . Man, that's a tough one. I'm so visually, and sound oriented... but I love cooking and eating too... and losing touch sensetivity would be dangerous... -
Princess Luna, It has been established that you occasionally visit other ponies dreams, Of the Dreams you have seen, who would you say has the most interesting, or was there anypony's dream that has really stuck with you?

Thanks Miss Derpy I agree about the legs, The pattern I used for this and my first plushie tend to make the legs look a little wonky. I'm working on a flying Rainbow Dash at the moment, and I'm making some adjustments to the pattern as I go. I added a "belly" piece to that, and it looks alright. I'll probably tinker with the pattern for the next standing plushie I make to get the legs a bit straighter.
-
This is my Second try at making an MLP plushie. I once again used Felt (It's cheap, so I've been using it for the first few I've been doing) The freckles and eyes are craft foam and marker, I actually came across a hat that (pretty Much) fit her in the doll section of the craft store. I did an AppleJack because She's my Favorite Mane 6 Pony, and also, My sister-in-law asked if she could have an AJ.

I understand about not wanting to show off, but You should NOT feel weird about sharing these! These pics are Really, really, good! I dig the style in the forest paintings, and I LOVE the Black and White Space Picture! And as quickly as you say they were done, is very impressive. Keep it up! Let us know if you feel comfortable sharing more with us /) What is the medium used for the forest paintings? I assume acrylic because of the quick painting time you mentioned
