Okay. I'm not sure if I already accidently posted this... I'm having issues with my phone. Anyway, I gained 10 lbs a few months ago and I still haven't been able to lose a single pound. My weight has been at a complete plateau and I've only managed to lose 1/2 a pound overall. Yep... So, I have the myfitnesspal app on my phone and I use it every day religiously, even the days I ate pizza and giant burritos. I need all the help I can get and I'd really really love it if someone would add me as a friend on myfitnesspal. We can keep each other on track! I eat a vegan diet except during the weekends (working on that) and I just started my p90x refining today. Let's do this together! My name on myfitnesspal is NeckBeardDestructorKnight (I thought it was funny like two years ago).

What cartoon/anime intros do you want to see pony-fied

It might be best to look for a gay brony in a totally different way. Be/look where the gay boys are in general, and then see if you find any bronies. You could go on gay dating sites and ask if any bronies are around. I think you'll find a lot more success that way. Also, what anime is your gifs from? She's so cute!

Why is Transformers allowed to be dark, but MLP can't
AstralDrip replied to TheMarkz0ne's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Because not everything needs to try so hard to be "dark" and "edgy". MLP:FiM is about as dark as it can be without becoming a complete joke. At the end of the day, it's still a show about cartoon ponies and friendship. If it takes itself too seriously, it will not longer seem so genuine and honest. There are a lot of great shows that get really dark and do it right. I'm just as big of a fan of A Game of Thrones as MLP, but I appreciate that they are very different from one another (but are also fantasy both shows). I need the variety and I like MLP as a break from all the drama. I hope I didn't sound too rude -
Or what if they were cars, shoes, governments, houses, cities, cookies, bands, etc? Earlier, I thought of some ideas for cakes inspired by the mane six. Do you think I should make any of them? *Twilight Sparkle- dark chocolate/ vanilla marble swirl cake w/ pop rocks inside and edible glitter! Not sure about the frosting but I'd top it with rock candy and metallic star dragèes (if those even exist) *Pinkie Pie- birthday cake-flavored ice cream cake with alternating vanilla cake/buttercream frosting and sprinkles/marshmallow fluff layers! I'd also throw in some gummy bears for good measure. Maybe with pink buttercream frosting and lots and lots of sprinkles (and maybe pop rocks too)! *Apple Jack- cinnamon oatmeal cake with alternating salted caramel and apple pie filling layers. Spiced apple cream cheese frosting? *Fluttershy- vanilla cake with real lavender in it and thin layers of lemon curd. The frosting would be meringue. I imagine it being very light. it could even be topped with fresh flower petals and marzipan butterflies. *Rarity- Dark chocolate cake with a layer of raspberry marble cheesecake sandwiched between two layers of dark chocolate ganache in the middle. Made of only the finest Belgian chocolate. Maybe Neuhaus. It could be topped with white chocolate ganache, sugar glass crystals, and edible silver leaf flakes. *Rainbow Dash- it would definitely have to be rainbow layered cake!!! Maybe add some pop rocks (I know). Cover with blueberry sour cream frosting with sour candy powder mixed in, and top with cotton candy and more pop rocks! Post your ideas inspired by MLP! I can be anything!

I'm so excited for this! I mentioned it in my Oculus Rift post I made earlier today. It seems like they're almost done with development. They said they just have about 20% more to do until completion. I'm so so glad to see survival horror games making a comeback, especially in VR.
-
So, the dev kits are already out and tons of people around the world are testing out what will likely be the future of gaming! Developers have already started to make games for the oculus rift, as well as modding pre-existing games for compatibility and working on ways to improve the oculus rift, itself. I really can't explain to you how excited I am for this. These are the VR games we expected in the 90's but never had (remember virtual boy?). This is seriously a huge leap in gaming and technology, and it feels like things are already moving along at a good pace. The oculus rift will be released commercially sometime next year and hopefully by then some of the games I anticipate will be released. So far, the selection is really sparse. For those of you that don't know, the Oculus Rift is a virtual reality head mount/visor thing with stereoscopic vision and it actually works. It's truly, truly immersive. Here's the promo video: Here's some things people have done with it: And here are some games in development that I'm practically salivating over (I love survival horror games, btw): (What I always wished EVE was really like) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQgVj9tBQG0&sns=em What you need to know about this ^ game. One you die, you're dead. That's it. It's game over. Also, there won't be a health bar or any other stats/menu options in view. There will be very few health packs. It also has a really cool vibe that reminds me of the movie Moon. For some reason not all of my links are showing up not sure what to do about it

Um... I'm not sure. I always check out the forums on my phone, but I think that if I click on my post, there's an option to edit it, and then I can change the thread title.
-
Sorry. I didn't see it there. Well, if you start the game tomorrow I'd totally play. You probably would get more people playing if you change the name, though.
-
That's a really good idea but I got confused by the title! Greatest Warriors is a web series on youtube (I really like it- has the same animator as Adventure Time). Unfortunately, I can only think of one warrior to add and that the Rajput warrior (India), and that's only because I just read about them. Other than that, I don't know anything about warriors and I'm pretty sure I would be awful at the game.

I'm not sure if there's already a thread for this, but I was just wondering if any other bronies/pegasisters go to any pony-related food blogs and tumblrs. If you know of any, or just want to post some MLP-related recipes, that would be awesome! MLP foodie blogs and articles: http://cookingismagic.tumblr.com/ http://mlptreats.tumblr.com/ http://www.babble.com/best-recipes/13-my-little-pony-recipes-for-your-little-brony/ I'll admit that there's a lot of repeats and they're not the best, but it's a start

I'd definitely have a pony cake, but I'm pretty sure I'd eat any cake. Here's my ideas for cakes inspired by the mane 6 ponies!: *Twilight Sparkle- dark chocolate/ vanilla marble swirl cake w/ pop rocks inside and edible glitter! I'd even go so far as to put it ontop of a sugar cookie base but that might make it inedible. *AppleJack- cinnamon oatmeal cake with alternating salted caramel and apple pie filling layers. Spiced apple cream cheese frosting? *Fluttershy- vanilla cake with real lavender in it and thin layers of lemon curd. The frosting would be lemon meringue. I imagine it being very light. it could even be topped with fresh flower petals and marzipan butterflies. *Rarity- Dark chocolate cake with a layer of raspberry marble cheesecake sandwhiched between two layers of dark chocolate ganche in the middle. First and foremost, I want to say I'm sorry because I'm about to sound like a total jerk. Secondly, I'm not referring to anyone specific. I'm also not making a statement about all brony music, just what I've heard, which really isn't much. I just really dislike all the brony music I've heard. It all sounded like mid-aughts electropop/emo hybrid produced on froot loops or GarageBand and auto-tune isn't making it any better. I'm under the impression that they're trying to sound like a cross between Breathe Carolina and Fallout Boy. I've also heard some token dubstep brony songs. I feel like the majority of bronies really need to move onto newer or better genres of music. This really goes for all fandom-based music, though. I never liked any of it, including steampunk music. *instantly permabanned from all pony forums*

Does it still count as a religion if your followers don't actually believe the gods they worship exist? I mean, not only would you have to write a holy book, you'd also have to promote your church, and get a group of people together that agree on how things should be ran. At best, it would be like IRL "jedi" but I suppose that really is what you'd want anyway.

The Weird and Exciting Ways Bronies Eat their Food!
AstralDrip replied to AstralDrip's topic in General Discussion
Haven't eaten much weird food??? It looks to me like you take the cake (pun sort of intended)! And that chocolate actually sounds really good. It sounds like Norwegian candy. Now I'm off to try suicide; I've never heard it called that before but I'm curious now! -

Has Being a Brony Changed Your Life? How?
AstralDrip replied to jacibobsthebrony's topic in Sugarcube Corner
It's helped me to allow myself to indulge in my guilty pleasures (MLP:FiM is one of them) without feeling overwhelming shame, for the most part. It's also helped me to question gender norms in a way I've never given much thought to before. It's comforting knowing that guys also appreciate cute and innocent things, because that's always been a side of myself that I've been afraid to show around guys. I thought they'd interpret it as immaturity and weakness. -

What do you think about when you can't sleep?
AstralDrip replied to AstralDrip's topic in General Discussion
Oh, man. It sounds like a lot of you keep yourselves up with worry every night. As soon as I lie in bed, my mind tends to gravitate towards things I've recently done that I regret/worry me e.g. "I can't believe I told him something so embarrassing!", "I took too many days off of school, I'm screwed!", "I wonder if he thinks I'm ugly." I play these worries over and over in my head, so I try to imagine fluffy fantasy scenarios to clear my head of the worry so I can finally sleep. It helps sometimes.... I'm really neurotic. -
Favorite splurge foods and favorite diet foods.
AstralDrip replied to AstralDrip's topic in General Discussion
That sounds really good. Now I want pita chips and hummus but its way too late. I've always wanted to try a juicing diet. I've heard a lot of good things about them.
