  1. I can do a pretty good russian accent if i say so myself :) However, i sound a bit young... Will that be a problem?

possibly not, depends on how you do.

    @@DonShine,

I can easily get those two done. I've got something that could be used, but I'll start from scratch.

alright, if you want to show me what you do, send me the MP3 of it. My Email is Left4derpy@gmail.com

  2. I can be the musician. I can't be two things at once since I have a busy summer. What kind of music do you need?

well, atmospheric stuff mostly. We do need a theme song though, and a few other little numbers that I want to throw into it. The real question is, what can you produce?

I can voice act deeper voices and possibly a few zombies such as the smoker or Boomer.

great! If you are willing to be apart of this thing, then here is the document for auditions.

  3. So we have to memorize the script. Oh...do you need a musician?

no, you will have the script in front of you. It is animated, so you just record a bunch of different takes and chose the best ones.

And yes, we do need a musician.

  4. Who's Derpy? And how long is the animation?

Aquapunkchick is our lovely derpy, and the animation is episodic, but I garentee when we get things rolling you wont need to wait for us to finish script. Cause it will be done.

  5. I know you need Derpy...I'm a male so I can't do that. What male rolls do you have?

Well, we have a derpy already, and the other roles we need filled are in the video. There is Francis, Bill, The Russian pilot, Greggory, James, and Kevin. There also is the zombies.

  6. yes, i know how. First, you have to relax. sounds simple right? WRONG!!!!

Actually kinda is for some people, but not for everyone. So here is a quick way to relax into sleep. Lay on your bed, and focus on two things. Your breathing. And your heart beat. Listen to those two things until you fall asleep. You can also listen to waves, but the other things are easier. Also, if you can, listen to a recording of a heart beat, will help alot.

That is how to sleep, but what you described is lucid dreaming, and there is a completely different way to do that. This one requires you to have LOTS of will power. All you have to do is..... Stay still. If you stay still for 30-100 minutes without moving then you will enter a lucid dream. You also have to have your eyes open, so try not to blink. To do right, you cant even move if your body feels uncomfortable, you cannot move period. Besides breathing. that is kind of essential. But ya, if you stare at a fuzzy TV screen, or a blue TV screen the whole time, then you will enter the lucid dream. Now be warned that this is also how Night Terrors can occur, so watch out for that. When you suddenly cant move your body and hear voices whispering into your ear, then you have reached your destination. All you have to do then is close your eyes and imagine where you want to go, and bing bang zam, your there.

I have done this to visit places like the leaf village, following Aang, and even Equestria. Where you go, and what you do, are only limited by your imagination, and you.

  7. Newsflash: They ARE the only ones who can sell it.

Why? Why do you say they can be the only ones to sell things that are pony. If you think that a company can own the rights of a species then you are a slaver sir. Anyone can sell pony stuff, just not My Little Pony stuff.

Well since you're acknowledging that you were wrong about the legalities at the time that's cool as ice. B)  No need to threaten or further escalate son. ;)   Move on we shall.,

No, I never said I was wrong, I said the issue was resolved, as in I left this topic because it is shit. I Believe in all my mind that Hasbro is doing some very shady things to try and keep their money, which BTW they are loosing. Now there is wind that Hasbro is trying to copyright the word 'Brony' and you get one very suspicious man outa me. So ya, don't care what the lot of you have to say, but something is going down, and it isn't good.

  8. Again Button Mash was in MLP (the Love Poison episode) and Snowdrop video featured cannon characters. They also weren't parodies at all. Reviewers using clips and footage of the show are using Hasbro content. Again Hasbro is doing what's within their rights. THEY own the characters and can pursue who they want, pull videos or add ads to videos if they want.

Sounds like you're knee jerking and not understanding how this whole copyright/ trademark/ fandom relationship thing works. I get really tired of people complaining when Hasbro is extremely lenient compared to many other companies. Venting frustrations with Hasbro is a lot more toxic to the community then what Hasbro actually does to gather those complaints. Let's just enjoy the show and the fandom without making ourselves miserable in a cloud of hysteria, shall we?

Your new to the conversation aren't you? Issue was already resolved, and my opinion of Hasbro is my own, so step off.

  9. I would like ContentID to only work if one exceeds a certain amount of time with it, like 5 seconds. Not sure if legal though.

But now I know people will try cutting an entire movie into 5 second bites, upload them all to Youtube in a playlist, monetize them all... They are why we can't have nice things.

Dude, your an extreme of the extremes. Your 5 second, and 5 second video movie thing is way unreasonable. No one would do that, cause it would take hours upon hours just to format. Then it will take an additional week or more just to upload all the bits. No one has that kind of time to get less then 10% of advertisement earnings. Oh, and you only get said earnings when they click the add, so fat chance getting anything at all.

Also, like I said before, 5 seconds of review footage is enough to cause CID to attack. Which means all reviews will be hit for showing anything. It makes no sense, and is costing YouTube money in the long run.

  10. Precisely. imo ContentID has its heart in the right place, and it works great at keeping people from uploading entire episodes, songs, or movies without being checked. It's just extremely outdated now and needs to be updated.

But having just a 2 second clip in a review makes the content ID match, it is extremely inconvenient to reviewers, and people of the like.

  11. I can't imagine it's Youtube doing this, normally ContentID is automatic.

Which is the issue. A computer has no concept of law, or what is just. A computer is cold, and calculating, and cant see beyond the boundaries of its programs.

Youtube is having an issue, watch this and find out.

fan made content is also being targeted, but no one is putting much focus on that.

  12. Still, they are taking down stuff containing pony because they have been the seller of pony for over half a century. It is wrong for them to destroy animations, and other pony productions because they think they are the only ones who can sell it. And trust me, that is exactly the mind set of the legal officials of Hasbro. If not, tell me another company that sells pony, and has no affiliation with Hasbro.

I am just not a fan of Hasbro right now. They have been making so many mistakes the last year, that I feel that they getting their old touch again. The one that spawned the absolute lowest point in animations history, MLP generation 3.5.

perfect example of what not to do when animating.

  13. Jananimations, however, was more of an mlp spinoff that used an already established character in the established mlp setting. Snowdrop isn't a parody either.

hmmmmm i guess when including the side characters, like Celestia, luna, and sweetie belle. but otherwise, they aren't the product of Hasbro, and shouldn't just be abducted by them because they are pony. (again, Button might be pushing it.)

  14. Question? Has digibrony or any of the other youtubers done anything about this?

Yes, there are a lot of Reviewers going and questioning youtube's new content ID system, saying that it is putting people who's lively hood is in youtube at risk. People like Angry Joe, Alex Side, exc. But I think, when concerning ponies, Hasbro is somewhere in the equation.

Space balls was a parody. -_-

Jananimations, Snowdrop, are not. There is a difference.

Actually, The Adventures of Button Mash, and Snowdrop are both parodies. So they should fall under the same legal range.

but Hasbro has to step in when people make money off of their IP.

Where is the IP for Snowdrop? Where is the IP for Button? Hasbro doesn't own them, because the fans made them. (Button might be a question though, cause he was on the show.)

  15. If the video is making a profit from adsense?

    Yes.

However I think the creators of these videos had something worked out with Hasbro involving this, so if that is so, what's the point of getting riled up over a business deal already agreed upon?

If it were simply the case of fan made content that made no profit whatsoever, and Hasbro came around and said, "Mine!" I would probably object to it. I could understand a CnD if the content was too much like Hasbro's, but not claiming it.

    1. If Yes, then where is Lucas Arts/Disney coming to get money from my space adventure story? Or why aren't they attacking Space Balls? Because it isn't theirs's. They had no input in the creation of, the payment to the people who worked on it, or really any affiliation with it to begin with. Them going and claiming content that looks, or is similar to their content is completely theft. That is why they cant attack lone wolf artists who do commissioned work, because they have no participation in any of the creation process.

2.Hasbro hasn't made any deals with them because they have said so. I am subscribed to a number of reviewers and other pony creators, and know for a fact that Hasbro is going around claiming content to anything that has clips, looks like, or even smells like it has something to do with their product. They aren't claiming everything mind you, but they are claiming a decent amount of things that should not be claimed. (though, some creators may have worked a deal out with them.) But all that might be the work of YouTube, so all this may just be redundant.

    3. ????

    4. Profit?

  16. Ridiculous.

While I think copyright laws in the U.S. are outdated and need serious revision, there really isn't any thievery here.

This is Hasbro's IP which all these fanvideos are derived from. These fanvideos are not made for profit, but some of them get profit from adsense anyways, so if hasbro wants to put their ads on these videos or take them down, they are completely within their rights.

But does that make it right for Hasbro to claim it still? Yes, it derive from MLP, but it is not MLP. That is like saying StarTrek and StarWars are derived from Doctor Who. They are not at all related besides the fact that they are in space. If a creation contains similarities to another that does not make it the property of the other.

  17. well, if you want to draw one of them you can, but I really just put them there because why not. Also, only the top image has a cutie mark, which is a role of film above a movie marker. The other pony does not because where she is from, cutie marks don't exists.
