  1. All right. I originally posted this on AH.com's forums, but it recieved very little reception thanks to a slew of fanart being posted right above this. Hopefully, I'll get more response and feedback here.

So yes, I am a 40k fan, and like many 40k bronies, I wanted to find a way to intergrate the 40k universe with Equestria. However, unlike (what I assume to be) many 40k bronies, instead of intergrating 40k canon into Equestria, and having Primarch Luna-Horus rebel against God-Empress Celestia, I decided to intergrate Ponies into the 40k universe, though as you'll see later on, I also intergrated elements of the Conversion Bureau (and the infamous Chatoyance's interpretation in particular) into it. So thus, without further adue, here is my own headcanon for Ponyhammer 40k.

When the Emperor of Mankind threw away his compassion to kill Horus at the height of the Horus Heresy, this fragment essentially became a new entity: the Star Child, who became the Chaos God of Friendship, who was more than delighted for a new companion. Taking the form of a winged unicorn (representing purity), and a female (as females are often considered to be more nurturing then men), it wandered the warp for an unknown amount of time, using its powers imbued by once being the Emperor to fight off the Nurglite plaguebearers sent to claim her in the name of the Lord of Decay and the Furies in the untamed portions of the warp. However, the Star Child still had a part of the Emperor of Mankind inside her, and soon started to create a plan in order to save humanity from the Chaos Gods. In an act mirroring the creation of the Primarchs, took the essences of Konrad Kurze and combined it with the kindness of Sanguinius, becoming a being equal to the Star Child (who, due to the lack of Friendship in the galaxy is only really a glorified Daemon Prince[ess); her "sister" in a sense.

Then, in M36 when the Imperium was threatened to be torn apart by Goge Vandire, the Star Child sent a warpstorm that destroyed his fleet, and by luck enveloped the Calx system inside. To protect the inhabitants of the system (which was rapidly being corrupted by chaos) from being claimed by the Big Four, the Star Child and Sanguinius-Kurze quickly began to mold them, and turned them to partial warp beings and reshaping them in their image. From there, they simply sat back and watched as the newly-ponified inhabitant of Calx developed societies and civilisations, just like humanity had, and just like the Emperor was when he was still a human. To protect the system from being fully corrupted by the Chaos Gods, they forged six powerful talismans representing a fragment of the Star Child's nature, which fundamentally acted as a "harmony" ray that would defend the system from all but the most powerful of Chaos beings.

However, Tzeentch soon realised that although of little threat in the short term, the Star Child, being partially made of the Emperor of Mankind, represented a major threat to his plans of supremacy in the far future, and feared that due to her kind and compassionate nature, she may become an ally of Nurgle. The Changer of Ways sent one of his most powerful (and not to mention troublesome) Lords of Change to destroy the realm that the Emperor had created, and soon he had taken Calx as his own. However, Discord, in an act of rebellion against Tzeentch claimed the system for his own, and forgot about the Star Child. Choosing this moment to strike, the Star Child, with Konrad-Sanguinius by her side, appeared to the Equestria public, claiming they were sisters named "Celestia" and "Luna" and that they were the raisers of the sun and moon. Using the Elements of Harmony, the Regal Sisters turned Discord into stone, just as planned. In an event echoing the rise of the Emperor and the creation of the Imperium, they were soon enthroned as the rulers of Equestria; their first-among-equals, or princesses.

Alas, history was to repeat itself; as time went on, Luna, who was unaware of her true nature, began to become jealous of her sister's power and prestige. Tzeentch, who had never really lost influence in Equestria since the coming of Discord, chose this moment to bring down the Emperor's plans from within; slowly, he began to manipulate her, encouraging her to rebel from Celestia's influence, and in the last stages, even began to corrupt her physically. The Horus Heresy had begun anew as Luna, now Nightmare Moon, rebelled from Celestia, and vowed to shred Equestria in the eternal night of Tzeentch.

However, the Star Child could not be fooled twice: taking action immediately, the Emperor used the Elements of Harmony to banish Nightmare Moon to the relatively uncorrupted moon for a millenium (being a being created of compassion, she could not throw away her compassion without destroying herself). However, the return of harmony to Equestria came with a price: try as she may, she could no longer weild the Elements. Brushing this secret under the rug (in an abandoned palace to be specific), Celestia began to reign in an unprecedented era of peace. She even created another alicorn from what remained of Sanguinius, to rule over a realm of crystal.

A thousand years (for Equestria) passed, and soon the corrupted Luna's time to return to Equestria was drawing near, and Luna was still partially under Tzeentch's influence. Knowing that she could no longer weild the Elements, she had to act fast. She then sent her most talented student (whom she was keeping a close eye to, given that she is quite similar to Magnus the Red) to a small settlement outside of her palace, knowing that there were five Ponies whose personality traits happened to have been perfect for wielding them, laid low, and hoped for the best. And she was successful, and Tzeentch was successfully 'exorcised' from Luna.

With the 41st millenium drawing to a close, the Star Child knows that her time is drawing near. Her physical form is about to die, and with it, the rest of the Emperor will join with her. Using her new powers, the Princess-Emperor, with the reborn Primarchs and Element Bearers by her side, will destroy mankind, and reshape them into Ponies, that will adequately be able to fight the Chaos Powers. Overpowering them with the Elements of Harmony, the Emperor reborn will then become the sole power in the Warp, and since Harmony reigns supreme, Chaos, and the Emperor and His subjects with it, will be destroyed once and for all.

Yet the Chaos Gods know this, and Celestia fears that all may not go according to plan. Already, Tzeentch has re-awakened Discord and briefly managed to retake Equestria, and more disturbingly, the spirit of Alpharius-Omegon managed to imprison and take the form of Cadence and lead an army of twisted inversions of Daemonettes that nearly destroyed Equestria and even overpowered the Elements. From her throne in Canterlot, Celestia ponders what can be done to defeat the Ruinous Powers now that both the efficiency of the Elements and the Primarchs are put into question. Meanwhile, Nurgle looks at Equestria as an opportunity to spread his "love" and "gifts". Khorne looks greedily at Equestria as a playing ground for his bloodletters, while Slaanesh is slowly finding Cadence to be a perfect candidate to be corrupted...

  2. Not really, but I certainly like the music of Corb Lund!

    I'm a hussar, I'm a Hun, I'm a wretched Englishman

    Routing Bonaparte at Waterloo,

I'm a dragoon on the Don, I'm a Cossack on the run,

I'm a horse soldier, timeless through and through!

  3. I typed in my name, and I got a biography on Google Books about James Monroe(!)

Obviously, typing in my username gets biographies of the 14th century conqueror Tamerlane.
