Okay, Trixie will tell you. It is rather a sad tale. Trixie was just a young filly back then just waiting to learn and seek more spells whilst Trixie was taking a walk through Ponyville when Trixie caught spite of a wimping bird with an injured wing on the road. Trixie was very kind enough to trot in the middle of the road to retrieve the bird and care for it back home. While Trixie was feeling empathy for the little bird and when Trixie was soothing it in a calm and gentle voice Trixie didn't notice a wheelbarrow come rolling by without anypony pushing it, it was full of bags of bananas. Trixie didn't know what was in front of her. Seconds later, Trixie got hurt just because Trixie wasn't paying much attention to Trixie's surroundings and that Trixie grew sick because of the bananas. Trixie never knew she was allergic to these horrid fruits until then.

And to answer your question, ever since Trixie left Ponyville with a accidental trip Trixie have been thinking of her. To be honest, Trixie is a teensy bit annoyed and jealous that Trixie lost the magic duel. The Great and Powerful Trixie does not approve of her being a unicorn with better magic.
