Hey guys! So tonight I was doing a little bit of doodling and decided I wanted to try a new shading technique. Its sort of like, half cross hatching, if that makes sense. I'v seen in done is sketches like this: http://macmon33.deviantart.com/art/random-sketches-386334297 I'v always thought it looked cool, and wanted to test it out on this doodle here. Something just looks off about the shading though. How do I make it look like the shading in those sketches there? What am I doing wrong here? Any advice or tips would be very much appreciated! (And dont worry, I know, she looks a bit chubby here, its just a doodle though And I'm sorry if I messed something up on this post. This is only my second post, and my first post with added images) Thanks!

I really wish I was better at talking, rather than listening. I have a tendency to allow the person I'm talking to just.....talk. Its rare when I actually have a clever reply to something or if I actually chime into the conversation. Its not like I'm shy or anything, I actually love getting out and meeting new people. I just don't have much to say or know what to say. I'm a "Yeah" and "Yup" Kinda guy (Somewhat like big mac you could say ) .

Hey guys, cool community you got going here! Glad I was shown this place. Anyway, I'm Macmon. I'v been a brony for about 2 years, and I started watching the show just because it captivated me for some reason. Hooked me instantly. I like to mostly draw (Although I'v only been drawing for a year and I'm not very good) And I'm always happy to take requests! My plate is a bit full right now, so it would take me a bit to get a request done, but I'm more than happy to do it! I also roleplay sometimes, but I'm not so good at that to.
