  1. I was playing just playing Skyrim, when I thought to myself "Hey, is there a Ponies the Anthology IV in the works? Because that would be cool, and make one for every season of MLP so far" (Yes, I realise my train of thought has very skewed tracks. Apperantly killing Bandits=Ponies :derp: )

Would anyone like to see, or have an videos to contribute, to a Ponies the Anthology IV? And, if by some cosmic rays striking down upon the lead producers of the previous Ponies the Anthologys, would you guys consider making another?

    Your thoughts, guys (or girls)?

  2. Hello everypony! I'm in a bit of a bind. You see, I want to watch the new season on the hub, and do the marathon and questionair cast before and after the release, but I can't find a working livestream anywhere. Can somepony please tell me where I can find a working livestream link to the hub?

P.S. I live down under, which makes it impossible for me to aquire the hub for my T.V

P.P.S. I'm not sure if there is already a topic like this, I couldn't find one...unsure.png

  3. Sorry to burst your bubble but if you include Equestria Girls it is impossible to watch every single episode in 24 hours. If you don't, it's still impossible because you need time to sleep and eat.

Pfft...sleeping..who needs that? Besides, if you stock up on food and drink and stick it next to the computer before attempting the challange, you can complete this. YOU CAN DO IT! WE BELIEVE IN YOUwub.png

  4. Do they stock the rainbow dash and pinkie pie ones in Australia still? I ask because on their website it says they are sold out sad.png And on ebay people are asking $75+ for just the pony O.o

  5. This. All of my This. While I don't regret it per se, I have had some fun experiences with games but if i'd known at the time how little it would help me later in life I have been much more social and learnt a skill or hobby i could make a living from perhaps.

Ah, I do, however, have a backup plan. as I have already wasted about 14 years of my 16 year life playing video games, I would like to assume that I have a pretty good grasp at how games do/don't work. I hope to be able to create my own video games by taking elements from games I like and elements a vast majority of others liked and trying to combine them in a new way so that they get the best out of the game and I just realised how congested that sounds. Why am I so useless at writing my thoughts on the internet? Maybe I shouldn't have been playing those video games....tongue.png

  6. This would be brilliant. You can also include Crystal Ponies and Changelings as I imagine a use can be found for those also.

So far I have thought of 5 different races (Normal races, Griffon, Zebra, Changling and Dragon), and your colony when choosing normal races (in custom map) can be founded by any of the three races of ponies, each with their own benefits and handicaps. The Crystal Ponies I was thinking could be created in the King Sombra campaign, or shortly before.

Actually. Where were the ponies BEFORE they moved to equestria? and if the managed to banish the wendigos then why relocate at all?

My guess is that the damage was too extensive/permanent. Maybe this area became 'The Frozen North' that would later be home to the Crystal Empire.

Your right on my train of thought img-1911961-1-yay.png  You see, I was always skeptical about the 'friendship fix the problem' story shown in Hearth's Warming Eve. How can I whole entire nation be founded by only two of each race, if none of the colonies followed them as well? The Frozen North idea I hadn't even thought of, though, so I thank you for the inspiration img-1911961-2-biggrin.png

This could work and we do know there used to be separate factions in Equestria. The Unicorns the Earth Ponies and the Pegasi didn't really get along as well as they do now. I love this idea and i would love to hear more about it.

You actually just gave me inspiration for the opening campaign, involving the Earth Ponies leaving their home land (name to be determined at a later date) with the Pegasi and Unicorns following. I'll have to fiddle with the lore a tad, as I don't want Hasbro to take it down as they did with so many other great games in the making (Celestia rest the original Fighting is Magic) img-1911961-3-sad.png.

  7. Ever been playing a video game and thought of a way that you think it can be improved?

I was playing Age of Empires earlier today, and as I was sending my units in to flatten the enemy base, I had a sudden vision of what it would be like ponified. Now, I'm not all for the mane 6 going to war and killing each other, but AoE deals with the history of civilizations and how they evolved and got to where they are today.

This made me think of the history of Equestria (don't ask me how playing a war strategy game got connected to MLP, I couldn't tell you why), and how little it has been explored. I had questions like:

-Who where the original inhabitants of Equestria?

-How did the multiple races expand to such a large area if no war was involved?

-How did the races of ponies defend themselves against invasions and other threats (eg. King Sombra)?

-When did the Zebras and Griffons emerge? Where are their respective empires?

Those are just some of the questions I had popping into my head as played, and I thought how it would be cool to have an AoE-like version for MLP:FiM explaining the rise of the various empires. I assume I am not the only one who thinks this, or at least wants an MLP:AoE, as there are a few animations out there that showcase ponies in the AoE setting.

So with this in mind, I have thought of several campaign arcs, along with 5 different races/focus races (I say focus races because all 3 races of ponies worked together after the Windigo incident). As the post is already lengthy, I will leave those for a later date. I wish to see if any other bronies or pegasisters out there would like to see this game created. Please post your opinions below.

  8. I regret not doing anything in my childhood. I just sat around and played video games all day. Now, when I look around, I see others with talents in drawing, programming, designing, metalworking, woodworking, science, the list can go on...

The point is, if I could go back and change my childhood so I actually learnt to do something and do that something really well, I would do so in a heart beat.

  9. Well, I am about to start playing D&D, so thank you for giving me some light as to what each of the alignments actually mean. I, for one, would be of a neutral evil alignment, as I plan on playing an assassin anyway. If we are talking in real life...I'd probably be true neutral.

  10. I agree with everything you say, however, I cannot bring myself to like this world more then Equestria. Yes, Equestria may not be just sunshine and rainbows, but at least the ponies don't have to deal with serial killers, war, famine (maybe they do, I don' know 100%), taxes, ect.

They also live in a world were the normal includes talking dragons, magic and flying with wings. Sure, there tech might be a little sub-par, but who cares if you can teleport with magic, right?

  11. Thanks! :) There's a few different techniques go into making them, many of which involve decapitating, utting up, baking and melting ponies - not for the squeamish, lol! But anypony can do it with practice - I might put a tutorial up at some point if there's interest!

Sign me up, definitely :) I would love to be able to make stuff to that detailed level, but I have no idea how, and the teachers at school can't teach this kind of stuff at all  :okiedokielokie:

    Please make a tut

  12. I've been the target of bullies from over 8 different schools over 11 years, and I still get the occasional prank pulled on me. I've come to terms that no matter what I do I'm going to receive the short end of the stick. I've learnt to not give a toss what others think of me (with the exception of employers), so I can wear pony merch in public with pride, safe in the knowledge that I am 20% better then the rest of them :P

  13. However, you can be an expert of science without knowing everything of the world. Really, the show is just one aspect of the fandom. You can be part of a pokemon fandom without watching the anime, so why should it be different with this? That's my perspective of the situation, anyway.

The whole point of being a fan of something is that you follow every aspect. I play pokemon, yes, but I'm not a fan of it. When people are fans of movie stars or singers, they take in all the stuff that comes out from those singers and movie stars-even up to their personal life (poor people). If you watch a movie that you like, that doesn't mean that you are a fan of the actors, just that you like the movie. You can't call yourself a brony and miss the big massive fact that you haven't seen the show from which the name comes from.

It's like going to eat a cake, but just eat the icing instead and throwing the cake away. That's my perspective of the situation, anyway.

  14. A game where you can switch between the mane 6 depending on the situation, like there is a logic puzzle that requires you to have Twilight as your user or there is an animal that needs to be looked after when Fluttershy is your character. I would make it about the changelings, when the mane 6 were trying to get to the elements of harmony, but the army surrounded them, making it harder for them to succeed.

Maybe there could be a boss fight at the end where Chrysalis is trying to stop you from sealing her away and you have to do fast action character switching based on what attack she was going to hit you with and which character would be the best to defend.

    That's just my idea ^.^

  15. You can't say your an expert of science because you know E=mc^2, and just like the fact that you only know one science fact, just looking at one aspect of a show or fandom doesn't make you a fan.

  16. All i could think of when i read the other topic was-

    'Brain...melting....intelligence...fading......science.....hurting....'

Then my brain does what it always does and kicks into overdrive.

Using Mattlight's physics alone isn't going to be enough to keep 'Terra' from spinning out of control-if Celestia and Luna used telekinesis, the royalty they have acquired would seem pointless, as any unicorn can use telekinesis. I think that in order to get to the crux of the problem is to marry Mattlight's theory and Zachary H. Comstock's.

Using the power from the sun and moon to move the planet would make a little bit more sense then trying to find enough energy within oneself to push it away.

  17. So, if telekinesis works  by focusing all atomic/molecular motions and orientating in a single direction, wouldn't that mean that Celestia not only has to move Terra but also all the ponies inhabiting it as well?

When you use telekinesis, you might pick up a pen and paper, but you don't pick up the floor at the same time. But if you move the floor and the laws of motion no longer apply, how does Celestia keep all non-celestial bodies from getting left behind?

Moving that much mass and keeping everything on that mass still seems like a lot of energy for one pony to harness, yet that pony can still be rather useless at protecting her kingdom from invasion like the changlings or Discord.

If she only gets this power surge once a year on the Summer Sun Celebration Day, does this mean that all her energy is expended for the rest of the year until the next Summer Sun Celebration comes along?

  18. This thread appears to be related to the My Little Pony franchise and/or the Bronydom in general. Thus, it has been sentenced to Sugarcube Corner.

I like how it says 'sentenced'. It makes it seem like it's a crime or something.

Anyway, I don't think that a secret sign is necessary for identifying other bronies. All you've got to do is ask them 'favourite of the mane 6', and if they reply, he/she is a brony/pegasister.

Other people would have absolutely no idea what you were talking about either :P
