  1. Dan's the man! I really hope Cartoon Network does pick up this underrated little gem. It was practically an adult swim show for kids already. What bitter irony that Dan, a foe of the very world itself, could live his life so unappreciated, and go out, not with a bellow, but a whimper. Please, Cartoon Network, don't let Dan be a lost relic of the sunken Hub Network.

  2. I don't know why coffee is considered a default drink right up there with water, milk and vodka. I can't drink the dirt beverage unless it has a lot of sugar in it. On the other hand, I can and usually do drink a gallon of tea a day. I should have kidney failure and type 2 diabetes at this point.

  3. I don't know about uniting against anti-bronies, who I prefer to ignore, but MLP:FiM and its ridiculously lively adult fandom barely made a blip on my radar before this kid in an IRC chatroom I hang out in started constantly and obsessively ranting about how broneyz are faggin' up teh internoobz. It's ironic that such a 4chan-ish individual would end up proving Rule 19 true.

  4. Davros, creator of the Daleks. He's like the love child of a Dalek and Emperor Palpatine. He tried to bring about the destruction! OF REALITY! ITSELF!!

I have to give a token mention to the Valeyard, who will surely be the Doctor's greatest foe. The Rani was another later series classic villian who has untapped potential. We need more female villians. Madam Kovarian was really cool, but they didn't really do enough with her.

  5. Favorite Doctor of the new series? I want to say 11, because he was already the Doctor when I started watching, thus making him 'my' Doctor, I suppose. I was immediately attracted to his quirkiness and the fact that I don't need to try to imagine him as an alien. Although I always feel like I have to give a nod to 10 and Lord Whovian himself, David Tennant.

I'd like to say 4 is my favorite of the classic series, because he's the most eccentric and recognizable one. I'm even taking up knitting so I can knit myself one of his 12 foot long scarves. However, the more I learn out about Jon Pertwee, the more bad-ass he becomes in my eyes. 7 as well.

For MLP related content, here's my crossover theory I wrote last autumn. I'm going to have more stuff like that in the future. In fact, I'm planning on remixing the '80s Doctor Who theme with Rainbow Factory, as Colin Baker himself once described his Doctor's asemble as, and I quote, "an explosion in a rainbow factory." C'mon, that's too coincidental not to capitalize off of!

Meanwhile, no, I don't think of MLP's Rose as another version of Rose Tyler. Although I do like toying around with the idea of her as Dr. Whooves' companion. Man, that scene in 'Breezies' was awesome. Here we have FiM getting back to its roots with a reimagining of the breezies from G3, the most infamous generation to bronies. So naturally, the staff thinks, "Screw it, here's a completely irelevant Doctor Who reference." Thus, in one quick swoop, we now have Void stuff as cannon as pony fairies.

  6. I remember the first anything I watched from the show was the cold opening to 'Wonderbolts Academy', since it was the top episode up on YouTube at the time when you searched for My Little Pony. Seeing Pinkie jumping around incredibly enthusiastic for the ever mellow and confident Rainbow, I thought, "Oh, okay, this is adorable." I can't remember if I watched the entire episode, but being intriqued, I did watch the first episode not long after.

  7. MarketWatch: Hasbro Named as a 2014 World’s Most Ethical Company by the Ethisphere Institute for Third Year

Global branded play leader Hasbro, Inc. today announced that it has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute, an independent center of research promoting best practices in corporate ethics and governance, as a 2014 World’s Most Ethical Company®.

    . . .

This is the third time that Hasbro, home to globally popular brands including MY LITTLE PONY, MONOPOLY and PLAY-DOH, has been honored with this award, which recognizes organizations that continue to raise the bar on ethical leadership and corporate behavior.

    . . .

Through the company's deep commitment to corporate social responsibility, including philanthropy, Hasbro is helping to build a safe and sustainable world for future generations and to positively impact the lives of millions of children and families every year.

Now that's just rubbing it in. Maybe it isn't a coincidence, since we're all well aware of their true form.

  8. Forlong stole my Nostalgia Critic song drop!

But yeah, that was my issue. Maud Pie was too boring. It's such a shame. I was looking forward to the episode where Pinkie Pie was visited by her sister all season, especially after Pinkie Apple Pie failed to probe into Pinkie's own family and background.

That being said, Maud did make me chuckle with some of her deadpan lines. "I threw it."

  9. God, Maud Pie makes Gummy look hyperactive.

Someone mentioned this in a chat: What would Maud be like Discorded? Would she be super enthusiastic and ecstatic like Pinkie Pie, or would it be like inverting the color gray and simply getting another very similar shade of gray?

  10. As crappy as I thought EqG was, this actually looks slightly better. While I really don't like this electro-pop style music, hopefully the songs will at least be catchy. I'm sure Vinyl Scratch will be given lines, so there's a huge plus.

What are the changes that they'll bring pony Twilight back to this human universe? I hope they use the human Twilight already existing in that universe, as bringing our Twilight back is pretty contrived. However, that seems unlikely, as we clearly see them in pony-humanoid hybrids. Damn it, Hasbro! You had to go full furry again!
