hey guy i was just wondering what kind of programs you use for your art? ( this includes vectors) 

 

at the moment im using PhotoShop CS5 but its apparently a bit outdated 

 

so im looking for a new program to use 

 

i currently have Inkscpae, PaintTool SAI, PonyScape and photoshop 

 

should i invest my time learning a new program or stick with PhotoShop? 

 

please give some advice below ( what program you use and is it any good for vectors) 

Photoshop CS6 is exellent! That's what i'm using right now. And they have completly reworked the pen tool to make it easier to use. Buybuybuybuy!

Or do it the naughty way.

Hey! I think i'm starting to get the hang of vectors. But i've run out of ideas and i don't really have a judge. 

So if you could, please post your OC and i'll try and redraw it with vectors! Then tell me whats good and whats bad. And please be honest! 

I've not completed anything yet, (Lazyness) so i can't give a preview of what i can.

So i'm basicly doing free commisions! :3

Be warned. I don't know if i'm good or bad... So it might turn out really, REALLY bad. Yeah ._.

Also, please recommend some software! I'm currently making animations with Flash Proffesional CS6 and making pictures with Photoshop CS6 and Inkscape

Well, i was bored. So i created this!.. Thing. For the first time i actually tried to draw from imagination. Without any background layers to draw over. But i did take a neak-peak at a pic first.... Shhh!

It's not coloured and i wont finnish it. But it turned out pretty nice! So why not share it? And i actually didn't use vectors! *whoo!* 

Yeah. I just used the pen tool and then applied an anti-aliasing filter! Looks pretty good!

(Exept for the tires... They look like ****)

Go ahead and use it! Don't bother giving me credit, cuz i don't care! >.<

It's a good start coloring wise, but I would say try to get away from the style of the MLP OC generator.

Both their lifted legs have joints bending the wrong way or have a joint missing. For your character there would be a bend down for the elbow, right now what would be your elbow joint is bending up. On your brother's character he has a bend too far up where there wouldn't be one. Where his bend is there should be just shoulder muscle, then you could move the elbow down and the 'knee' would be further up. Even though the show is stylized they still follow basic horse anatomy.

So my monitor is kinda uncalibrated. What i saw on my screen is not what you saw. So wich one of these look the best? The darker one is the old one.

The zebra stripes are not really supposed to be seen that much :/

The drawing is really good! Like in actually really good. It reminds me of the show's quality, however it reminds me of something else more. If you don't mind me saying it, it kinda looks like this was drawn from Pony Creator references :3 If it is then don't worry, you're still a great artist being able to make it look so good. And if it's not, you're even better! The only thing I would like to be changed is the eye on your brother's pony there, it looks a little bit weird if you ask me. The image would look a lot better if they were at least looking at each other

So this is my first time ever drawing a pony by hand! I think it turned out pretty good! My 14 year old brother wanted a pony, so i made two ponies! him and me!

Is there anything i should change?
