  1. The only way I figure a pegasus type animal could be evolutionarily possible, would be a genetic anomaly that grants an extra pair of functional limbs next to the front legs. Over time they'd have to evolve into wings from there, but I can't see feathery bird wings being a possibility. Avian feathers are a form of scale if I remember correctly, so I don't think a mammal like the horse would be able to ever gain them without so much time passing that our pegasus looks little like modern horses. Something reminiscent of bat wings might be doable, though!

As for the unicorn, I'd say it'd have to start with a form of antler that developed for use as a singular pointed weapon.

  2. I've had a couple pony dreams, though it's usually only in the rare lucid dreams. Always my two, though, never any others. Just a couple days ago, I dreamt I got out of bed, and saw some strobe light like flashes coming from around the corner of the room, accompanied by some disturbing noises. At this point I had already figured out I was dreaming, but still didn't want to get some jump scare or something. Edging around the corner to see what it was, I saw a horribly disfigured human-like monstrosity sitting in my chair before my tv. As it turned it's head slowly to look at me, the next flash blinded me, and in that split second the figure was replaced by the lovely pegasus you see below. Happened quick enough that I question whether I saw the horrific thing or not, and now the flashes were just explosions from a Halo game she was playing on my Xbox. After watching her kick some butt for a bit, just went outside and she flew around while I bugged some neighbors about their awesome muscle car. Other gal showed up later, just for a bit of a chat, can't remember much else.

Fillies in this pic, rather than the adults they are. Just the best one I have of them together right now

  3. I love just about all dogs. Only dogs I have a problem with are the large ones that get a little too snappy, though that's not a big issue for me. Personally, I do prefer to be around larger dogs, but small dogs can be just as fun. I think it's hilarious that my aunt's chihuahua has a bigger attitude that my oversized lab.

  4. I don't like to live my life based on platitudes, but I suppose if there is one motto I tend to adhere to, it's probably "Expect the worst, hope for the best." That may sound cynical, but I've had enough bullshit happen to me in my life to warrant that kind of thinking. It's safer.

I was about to say the same exact thing, but I don't think it's a cynical way of thinking. For me it's always been a way to avoid trouble and think things through, and even enjoy things a little more. I mean, if you're expecting something bad, when something good comes your way, it's a little more exciting.

Something else I live by is to learn from and let go of mistakes, and always look at what goes right. When things go wrong, they have a tendency to overshadow everything else, but the good often out-numbers that bad. It's all too easy to forget to look on the bright side.

  5. Only thing I can think of is that if a sandwich or pizza or anything else normally not needing a fork happens to be needing a fork to eat, I take that as a challenge to pick it up and hold it together. It drives my friends crazy when I eat over stuffed chili dogs without a fork.

  6. New member here. I made this account about a month ago, and then I quickly realized that I have nothing interesting to say. Mostly I lurk when I've got plenty of time and not much to do, only posting occasionally. Trying to get more active, just don't have much to say right now.

  7. Have some odd Kentucky laws:

You can be fined for having a reptile in a church/religious service

A woman may not buy a hat without her husband's permission

Throwing eggs at a public speaker can result in up to one year in prison

It is illegal to walk around with an ice cream cone in your back pocket

It is illegal to shoot game from a moving vehicle, unless that game happens to be a whale

  8. While I'm sure there's plenty of little things I enjoy, the one that sticks out to me is looking at the sky. Odd, I know, but I'm constantly staring up. Whether it's watching clouds roll in, the stars of a cool and calm night, thunderstorms creating chaos, clouds catching the colors of sunset or dawn, or just that clear solid blue of the afternoon, I'm looking up at it. Don't know why it fascinates me so much, and I often find myself climbing up anything I can to get tree lines and houses more out of view. Hehe, pretty sure most think I'm crazy. day-gif-night-sky-tree-Favim.com-297060.
