    A lot of American horror movies are garbage, much like a lot of foreign movies are garbage. There are also a bunch of great ones too though. I like Japanese horror movies, like Noroi and Occult, which are actually both by the same guy.

    Definitely OoT/MM from the Zelda series. Aside from being my favorite games ever, those games are just so amazing and there is so much to do. Banjo-Kazooie is a close second.

    I tried searching for a topic like this but I couldn't find one so I hope it's okay I make it! I'm new to this place and I was just thinking about what this show (and it's characters) mean to all you guys. I'm really sick now and I'm having some personal troubles that are making me feel really bad and all that wonderful stuff and I'm watching some songs (mostly Smile, Smile, Smile) and I'm finding myself moved by how sweet and wonderful this show is. It really helps me deal with these problems because it's so light hearted and fun. It's a great escape from my daily problems and troubles and I am just wondering what it means to all you guys, but I'm pretty sure they'll all be similar. So this show cheers me up and helps me not feel like complete crap when my whole day is going wrong. Any stories of what it does to you guys?

    It probably isn't true, but I hope it is and if it is that'd be pretty funny. I like both shows but South Park hasn't been funny for years now so I'm just looking forward to the reaction between the respective fans.

    It was always just some bland thing to sell toys to little girls and I never thought twice about it until FiM.

    I love this show! I'm so glad it's caught on and is super popular now because it really is a damn good show. I want to get a hold of the comics and read them, some of my friends have them and they say that they're also really great.

    I am not even sure my parents are aware that I watch FiM but my mom has walked in on me listening to some of the songs before and hasn't really said anything. I have very accepting parents though so I'm not too worried of what they'll think. I guess we'll see when pony toys start arriving in the mail, eh?

    I really think it's stupid that people would get offended (and I doubt they even were, they probably just wanted to piss Derpy fans off) at something so lighthearted and fun. Also I'm pretty sure the writer of the episode is an advocate of those kinds of things, so it's just even sillier. I thought it was really cool of the show's creators to acknowledge such a huge portion of their fanbase, like probably 95% of it, and it was really cool hearing Ashleigh Ball actually say Derpy. It sucks that people had to ruin that for the fans who really like her, but I'm not too heartbroken because she'll probably still be a background pony and the animators said they wouldn't "fix" her eyes or anything so that's cool.

    I don't think too many people outside of a specific corner of the internet know about Mother/Earthbound/Mother 3, which is an awesome RPG series (in my opinion the best ever) for NES/SNES/GBA respectively.

    I think my favorite song is Winter Wrap Up just because it was the first MLP song I heard and it was just so damn awesome. Smile, Smile, Smile is also tied for favorite because it is just so catchy and cute. I'm gonna go with Winter Wrap Up though.

    My favorite video game is definitely a tie between The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and Mother 3. Phenomenal games.

    I was listening to the song Private Eye by Alkaline Trio but now I'm listening to Pinkie Pie's Smile song.

    Definitely not. I found out about this show, like a lot of others, from 4chan and I was pretty confused and doubted I'd start liking it. I remember saying to one of my friends "Dude, if I end up liking a show about cartoon ponies, you have permission to shoot me." Now I annoy him when talking about ponies. I definitely don't regret it though because I've seen how awesome of a show it is and man oh man ponies are so cute.

    It's pretty cool to see Rarity and Pinkie Pie hanging out. I think that was my favorite part of the episode. I was also hoping for some sort of sassy Fluttershy song but oh well. Merriwether is getting better at writing MLP, but someone else is credited with the story for that episode. Good episode overall. I am pleased with it.

    Just making a generic welcome thread. My name is Mike (BoomHooves on here, obviously) and I just came here looking for a forum to discuss MLP stuff. I'm not really into the whole brony culture but I am a big fan of the show. I consider myself a more condensed brony... anyways. Looking forward to talking to people and discussing these cute little ponies!
