In my retrospect, Samsung has delivered and never failed any task I got from them to reliable connections and technology. I always choose their brand compared to the mainstream and not too great ones like Apple.

 

Next to samsung, sony is also a good option as well, but Samsung all the way for your everyday needs.

Samsung is Mainstream though, a large majority of Android users have Samsung phones, and they are always of the Galaxy name badge.

To me the only reason to get a iPhone, is because it has good resale value if you keep it in good shape.

I am not brand loyal, I don't think me or anyone else here has used enough phones for a good amount of time to really form a good judgement. Of course most of you are going to say Samsung, because they hold a huge ass market share.

But I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy Reverb (Poor mans version of the Galaxy), I have used ZTE (Android), Huawei (Android), HTC (Windows, but not Phone 7), and Kyocera (Dumb flip phone, and bar phone) in the past. Other than the limited features I really enjoyed my old Windows phone the most.

Yeah I plan I getting a set of these babies for my car soon with my tax return.

I still play the 2d version of runescape. I like old school too, but I play on my Nexus so I can only play that on the 2d version.

But fear of repercussion is what keeps rapists in jail. It is what keeps most people from murdering their ex wife. Those kids don't care about Micheal's family, or what they caused him to do, they just don't. They only care about what evils may befall them for their actions, they care not for how it effects others, only how it may effect them. People like that will never be remorseful for their actions, only for how they get treated as a result. So yes, a violent deterrent would work greatly in most of these cases.

Jail is different from Prison. Usually Jails are just used to hold drunks, and people who misbehave overnight. Barely more than a detention, except now you are just locked behind bars.

Did you just call American top gear 'mediokre'? As in even remotely acceptable? That show doesn't deserve to be called top gear. I absolutely love British top gear. It's always funny, over the top random. They never stay on topic.

It isn't really that bad. You have to watch it with the mindset that it isn't top gear, just another American car show, but this car show is significantly better than any other trash car programs that are spewed out.

As I said, my suggestion for punish would be making them spend a few hours in jail to scare them and show them what their actions could lead to. 

Jail would do nothing. No different then a few hours in detention.

I love Top Gear! I watch it with my dad and brother! The newest episode was out a few days ago! It's very funny xD however what I really liked most is even though it's almost always jokes and messing about... They took a very serious approach to wishing Michael Schumacher (the F1 driver who has been in a coma...) a speedy recovery and I thought the way they did that was very grown up and mature... No jokes at all... Did you know Jeremy Clarkson voiced Lightning McQueen 's agent in the UKversion of the Pixar film Cars?

I think in the near future should have a some streams where we all watch random episodes of Top Gear, with a pony episode in between.

Put this is perspective. 

Japan back before the US got into World War 2, bombed one of our military ports "Pearl Harbor" killing 2402 Americans, and injuring over 1000 more. 

So are you saying it was wrong for us to retaliate? Instead we should have just never traded with them again, massive trading tariffs, told them what they did was bad and not to do it again? No they would have kept on attacking us. You don't solve anything without violent retaliation, granted that did eventually come to dropping two nukes on them killing thousands of innocents, but it got them to back down, and we saved many of our own by not resorting to invading their mainland, and they harbor no resentment from what we did to them.

So who cares if we were no better, they attacked first, so they suffered the consequences, the problems were solved.

Yup, still a good show, just no where near as good as the original.

Which is mostly down to the hosts I think, UK they have a good chemistry between the hosts, and even though most of it is all scripted you barely notice it unless you are looking for it, while the US version, you can clearly see everything is scripted out and there is hardly any chemistry going on between the hosts Also they do not really do car reviews, or proper star in a reasonably priced car, but I think that is mainly down to the crap run time they have because they have to cut like 20 minutes out for damn commercials. (Seriously, fuck you cable/sat TV) 

Haven't watched the Australian version yet.

With how people are in this day and age, there is always going to be skepticism. If I had the extra money to donate, I would.

But I do kinda agree with some of the people saying, why this kid should he be treated anymore differently than the thousands of other kids in need? "Oh he likes what I like, so he deserves the money and support more?"

It brings me onto another thing (I am not trying to compare this to the Morones) This fandom has way too many people begging for money for trivial things, like EQD posted the other day about a guy too cheap to pay his own dental bills, and just because he is a popular brony singer, so he takes advantage of that. Also I remember a while back there was another with the exact same story. Then I see allot of people's DA. "Oh my laptop broke, donate so I can get a new one." "Oh my tablet broke..." "Oh I am getting kicked out for not paying my rent..."

I see it time and time again.

At least some have the decency to ask for more commissions, or lower the prices on their commissions to help bring in more. Then at least they are doing something to earn money, not just stick out their hands.

Still not buying it until I see a real news agency report on it. 

You guys do realize that the story behind why he did this to himself had changed right? Now they are saying it had nothing to do with bullying, or MLP, but that it was because of a fight he had with his brother.

I am not buying it, as soon as you hear people start changing their stories, it is a telltale sign they are lying.

I think the whole brony community is being scammed, especially since something about a kid trying to commit suicide would have made the news somewhere, especially if the VERY first thing the kids parents did was go to the internet, to completely ignore going to any news agency is puzzling, But yeah nothing but brony related websites even mention it. No legitimate news agencies have.

I use it because it's more secure, way more efficient with my resources (because the GUI I use isn't a bloated mess), has the software I need and it's largely under my control.

 

You're right, there really isn't that much software support unless you look in the right areas. There are some fantastic places for documentation in how to use a certain piece of software, one of my favourite being the arch wiki. While there is a lot of stuff talking about the distribution on the front page, a ton of the content itself is platform agnostic. I even used it when I went to Mint for a while. The gentoo wiki is also pretty darn good as well.

 

It's also a fair criticism on platform support. I'm using visual studio 2012 in my software engineering program and I commonly switch between my operating systems to perform different tasks. I might train myself to use eclipse in the summer and learn a different tool, but use what you have to.

Don't give me the bloated excuse when Ubuntu to me feels just as bloated as Windows. Sure others distros are not, but they are stripped down to there basic necessities.

Resources are not a problem in this day and age, even 16GBs is overkill even for Windows, and doesn't cost that much.

I installed Ubuntu on a computer with less than a Gig of RAM, and a Pentium D, it was atrocious in performance.

The day there is just as much support for Linux as Windows, sure I will jump ship.

But I don't see the point now, because why should I use an OS with an inferior selection of software? That is also why I don't use a Mac, but I would still use a Mac if it had more software support that Windows, but it doesn't.

Other than Brony, and Furry websites, this hasn't been reported on AT ALL in any legitimate news site. (EQD doesn't count, they don't have actual reporters that go out and confirm these stories)

A 11 year old attempting suicide would definitely make at least the afternoon local news somewhere, but I come up with nothing on a google search. Everything just leads to Brony related websites and blogs. I don't see any concrete information here.

Also from what I am hearing is that there was no bullying involved, neither was MLP, it was just the kids brother that caused him to do this. That just makes me suspicious because now it is changing stories, and usually when people change their stories, they tend to be lieing.

If it is all true, then I whole heatedly feel for the kid, but I honestly think someone is scamming the fandom here. Big time, and since it is a charity for a young kid, nobody has the balls to question it.
