Thank you! That's actually one thing I'm good at is poses. I do different poses for all my characters, it kind of reveals their personality.

I think I agree that another huge part of the show for me is the fandom. So far from the comments already posted it's reinforcing to me that I am a part of a huge family that echo and agree with so much of my thoughts and feelings. It makes me feel connected with something amazing. it makes me love being a brony and everything that entails.

I'm drawing out all my OC's for my fanfic for visualization. I felt like posting them just for kicks and giggles. As I finish each one it will come up here. Critiques are welcome in terms of drawing tips but the characters themselves are what you see. Here is number one: Jay Hurricane

To me these days it's just a show. It used to mean much more before, but I think getting into the show has done me more harm than good to be honest so I don't know what to say -_- I still enjoy it, just not as much as I used to....it sucks how life can just suck the fun out of things you used to love

I actually kind of know what you mean. That has happened with other things for me in the past. It's always a little sad. I really hope that doesn't happen with this. I mean if it does oh well...but still. I wonder if maybe that's why I kind of naturally move away a little bit every once and awhile and then come back. Maybe it's my way of not running it into the ground.

So I've been thinking a lot lately. There have been times where I was on somewhat of a shallow hiatus from MLP as life takes it's turns and I occasionally drift from the show and the fandom, but I have noticed that every time I come back it's like greeting an old friend. I sometimes think that I have forgotten the joy and happiness of MLP but it returns just as strong as ever. It still means just as much to me as it ever did. 

So I got to thinking, what is it about MLP that means so much to me? Why is it such a big deal? I want to get personal with you guys and share some of the answers I have come up with. MLP genuinely makes me happy and full of joy. Perhaps like nothing else can. Well except for maybe one thing. I hope you don't mind me going in this direction, but I am a very religious person. And so to me, I think what makes MLP the most personal is that I feel like if you were to take the Gospel and turn it into a cartoon, it would be MLP. The values and morals it teaches are so heartwarming and hopeful. 

I get upset with a lot of the crap that is in the media these days and it is so nice to see something on TV for a change that is so good and pure and full of love. To me MLP is more than just a cartoon on television though. It really is a huge source of joy and hope in humanity. A beacon of light if you will forgive my cheesiness. What about you? What does the show mean to you? Feel free to share.

Honestly I thought bronies were pretty dang weird. But that was mostly because my sister came home one day talking about this really creepy kid at school who creeped on her hard core and was a brony with a lunchbox and drawings and everything. It also didn't help that I didn't know anything about Friendship Is Magic. So I guess I kind of judged all bronies off of one creepy guy. :$

Hey all. Most of you probably don't remember me but I was an active member about a year ago and I was away for a while but now I'm back.

One of our favorite things to do is just cuddle on the couch. We don't even need to have music or tv we just snuggle in the silence. Or on the other hand we like to watch stupid dumb movies and laugh hysterically. I took her on our first actual outing last night and I took her to dinner and we barely touched our food we just kept talking. I guess I'm just saying I love how easy out relationship is. Neither of us feel pressured to do or be certain things, we are both fine with whatever we do. I'm still blown away by the whole thing though lol. Just a couple weeks before, I was one of the people watching one of my friends gain a relationship and thinking that will never be me. I was resigned toy lonely destiny. I never thought I would be lucky enough to find someone like her. And she completely discounts everything I say aboutt my physical appearance or my personality. She tells me I'm good looking and wonderful and perfect and I can tell she means it. So for those ponies who are giving up hope or think they are doomed to a life of loneliness, I've been there and I would just say don't give up hope because one day someone will come along and make all your dreams come true :3 sorry, this is now dripping in cheese lol

Lo it's funny, cuz when I started this thread I was alone. Now I have an excellent relationship. Romance is much better when you get to experience it and test it together. It's continuously trying to find tiny little ways to make your partners day a little better. It's not the big grandiose things once in awhile it's the daily simple little gestures from the heart that really show how much you care because it's constant and consistent. :3

Doc and the others sighed in relief. Firebrand nodded and said "thank you that's all we ask for. If the princess speaks we won't go against her. We too are loyal to our country and our people. But we are also loyal to our friends, so until we are ordered by authority we are obligated to protect our friends. I would hope you understand that." Flash nodded in agreement, "We won't go against the Princess. We're not traitors."

Flash could feel the situation slipping out of control. He felt nervous and frustrated at the same time. He looked at firebrand who wore a serious expression. Doc face hoofed and said "Ugghh are all you warriors this paranoid? We are protectors, not warriors. We are not warcriminals and we did not set you up! No one here is evil. So far you and Volt are the only ones here who are ready to take someone out. All we want is peace! Can you please get that through your head?" Firebrand walked up behind Doc and put a calming hoof on his shoulder.

Doc sighed and rubbed his temples. He looked up blearily. He was mentally exhausted. " look, Chrysalis can't remember a thing. She is now a good pony and as far as my observations show he has no evil tendencies whatsoever. I if it makes you feel better we can keep her under surveillance. Bottom line, she is not currently a threat. All things considered I would say what Drone did was a good thing in the end. He got rid of a major enemy without actually killing anypony. You must look at the facts. The truth is no harm was really done."

Hey thanks. I have more, I'm just waiting for edits.

I've found that the more people I tell the more easy it gets, and the more I realize the people who really care about me are more accepting of me than I thought. And the few people who are not don't matter as much as the amount of people who are.

This is fun topic. Well I turned 30 when I became a brony so I don't live with my parents. I also have 3 kids and I am married. I just so happens that my parents did learn I was a brony.

 

So I was visiting my family and inlaws in Washington (I live in Minnesota currently), my son recieved some MLP: CCG packs. I new the game was being released but I had forgotten that it was coming out in Dec and when he got the packs I gushed! Looked around and my Sister-in-law was grinning and I was blushing, a bit embarresed. I just squared my shoulders, held my head high and pronounced "I am a brony. Ponies are baller!" (Exact words). That was in front of my inlaws.

 

When I visited my parents, one of neices had just gotten into the show (shes 16) and when she found out I was a brony, we both packed up in the car and went and bought starter decks for the CCG. My dad laughed, my eldest brother laughed, but no one really cared. My niece was excited to just be connecting with me and Ponies was the way.

Thats like the most awesome story I have ever heard.

I just remembered a cool and funny story from my mission. Me and my "creator" had been paired together for about a month now. We were gathered with the rest of our zone doing a service project and painting a giant fence in a public park. We went by the title of elder, or if you were female, it was sister respectively. There were two sisters in ourzone at the time. Anyway, we collectively decided to break for lunch, and we decided to go to cici's pizza. So I hsad just finished washing the paintoff my hands, and my companion comes rushing up to me and says "Bird's in the herd." Now there was an elderwho was new to our zone, andhis namewas elder bird. We had spent some time getting to know him and we invited him to ride with us in our car. So I have the keys and I'm getting ready to start the ar, and my companionruns up, totally geeking out, and says "bird's in the herd." Well my brain wwasn't thinking too well, and I thought that he was referring to the fact that Bird was travelling with us in our group to go get lunch. I say"Wat?" And he repeats himself. I'm still confused until he says "yeah he brohoofed me." Then the lightbulb goes on and I start geeking out. I rush up to Birdwho has just finished washing his hands and I extend my hand for a handshake and I ask "are you 20% cooler?" He shakes my hand and looks confused for a moment before excitedly answering yes. We all geeked out hard core. Hang tight, there is a part two.....

So part two. So in the car we were joined by Bird's companion, Wixom, and another elder, tyger. We are driving to lunch and me, my companion, and Bird are all geeking out and the other two have no idea what's going on. Until I use the famous "worst possible thing" rarity quote and Wixom is like "oh its my little pony stuff"lol we all kind of froze in trepidation. Turns out Wixom use to watch the show with his sisters, but he refused to be a brony, but he was cool with it. And Tyger though it was weird but he was cool with it to. So we kind of had our own little herd going on. well we finally get to lunch and we sit down and we are eating. I look at the tv on the wall behind us and I practically choke. There is a commecial for the new PP and RD plushies at build a bear. I make a weird sound and clap my hand over my mouth and point to the tv and Bird turns around and geeks out a little but composes himself better than I did, while beside me my companion just goes full geek mode and his jaw drops and he stares google eyed at the tv while making this strange gasping sound. Then I look past him at the next table and the sisters are laughing at us and giving us weird looks, and the twelve or so other elders are all smiling and trying to get a better look of what's going on. Tyger just puts his head down and me and the rest of the herd just bust up laughing hysterically. We never really told anyone elsein the zone about our obsession, although they probably guessed, but they never brought it up.
