seems like a journal for your thoughts or other enjoyable stuff. Well! If I got a blog now, what can I talk
about? Hmmm. Well recently, me and my friend Jeremy met up to continue working on this crossover
comic. We called it: "Shounen Showdown: Universal Rift"; course Jeremy had to comment "sooo,
we're making Xiaolin Showdown", and after that I watched Xiaolin Showdown the next day. Almost forgot
about that show.
Anyways, long story short, me and Jeremy watched this crossover between One Piece, Toriko, and DBZ.
Through the course of it, we just sat and laughed at what was going on. Then Jeremy asked me something,
why is Goku here? I didn't see any problem with Goku being there. My only question would be, who the heck
is Toriko? After the whole thing was over, Jeremy just said he wasn't satisfied with it, expected more
from it. Suddenly! Idea popped in my head. Why don't we make our own crossover and make it a
comic. Jeremy agreed saying something about a challenge. First thing we established was to select
characters with these requirements:
1. Powers had to be able to match each other in some way. Nothing too powerful.
2. All characters HAVE to be from a shounen anime/manga. Otherwise the title wouldn't
make sense.
3. We're allowed to pick 2 to 3 characters from each anime/manga.(Though we made an exception with Soul Eater.)
4. Finally they have to be Teenagers.
Once we've got that out the way we had to figure out who's the villain. Easy, someone who can
control time and space. The setting would be a world with different pieces of each individuals
universe. The concept was we would put the characters in different areas to navigate and figure out
what happened. Each character and their group would basically make their way to the boss,
encountering challenges and obstacles along the way. And in the end they'll meet up and fight the
boss. Pretty simple plot; the challenge is what will happen in between. Technically, we're doing this
for fun. And we kind of faced the fact that neither of us has done fan-fiction before. Sounds like a
challenge to me! The last thing we had to decide on is who's going to draw it? I kind of figured I'd do
background and Jeremy would do characters but I wasn't sure if that would work. And that's about it.
We're still working on it, trying to make a storyboard and what not, but so far this is pretty fun, and very hard...
Well, guess this is my first blog. Hope it was alright. I'm uncertain if I'll make more, kind of depends.
Anyways I'm out. Later people.
