  2. Trying to assemble enough people for a non-mlp, cowboy bebop/ guardians of the galaxy/suikoden-ish RP; PM me for info.

  3. I would recommend 'Skip Beat!' and 'Princess Tutu'. The first is a pretty accessible romantic comedy about a girl who wants to get into showbiz.... to get revenge on her ex-boyfriend. The latter, is a magical girl anime, although the magical fights aren't so much fights but magical ballet competitions; and it has an incredibly deceptively simple looking yet rich plots in an anime series.
  4. @, No worries, and I'd still be interested in a sig please, if you don't mind. I'd like my sig to have this pic on the left: And this pic on the right: And if it could read: "Welcome to my Nightmare I think you're gonna like it!" That would be super awesome.
  5. Reading a book on martial arts....

Thank you, this will actually be my first rock concert; so I must prepare myself for singing and/or shouting of the appropriate choruses.

  7. This is very true, as music is expressive in nature. Meaning it would be quite natural for a person to like pieces of music that range in tone from happy to sad and anything in between; as that reflects human experience.Although the danger I fear is if someone listens to one type and tone of music exclusively, as I would be concerned for such a ones well-being. We all will have almost a "base tone" or "key" if you like ( mine would most certainly be a minor key ), but being incapable of enjoying other types would be problematic. I remember reading once how in Traditional Chinese Medicine this was in effect the view, so listening to music of different "tones" was healthy; while the alternative could become detrimental to ones health and mental state.
  8. I remember listening to that as a kid at my Grandmother's house on cassette tapes no less. I suppose I liked it at the time, and it certainly is interesting to hear that it went on as long as it did. Going by what I remember, it was much better than other stuff aimed at a younger age group ( with the exception of Veggie Tales back in the day).
  9. Merry Christmas! And God bless us, everyone!

  10. Name: Blake ( but if you wish to call me Virgil that's fine... just don't call me Shirley) Age: 25 Country: Dallas, Texas, USA Dislikes: I'm rather bad at small talk, so I'm not big on conversations like "How about team so and so", if you get the general idea. Likes Music: Bach, Mozart (I mostly like Baroque era classical), Chopin, Gilbert & Sullivan, Alice Cooper, Bob Dylan, The Who, Queen, Jethro Tull, Jimi Hendrix ( most 60-70s rock honestly), I do like some jazz in particular Dixieland and Bebop; I'm fond of older musicals ( only newer one I really like is Les Miserables); Folk music of a wide variety. Books: ... I read just about anything under the sun it seems sometimes. As an example I might at one time go back and forth between a Theological work (normally quite old), Philosophy, some history, cultural studies, an old novel, or perhaps some shojo manga (I'm a sucker for light romantic comedies okay ). Movies: well to give you a good idea of what I like in this area.... My top 5 favorite movies are: Whisper of the Heart, My Fair Lady, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Amazing Grace ( its a biopic on William Wilberforce ), Princess Mononoke. Art: I generally prefer Renaissance Art, but I like some Romantic period stuff as well, Impressionism to some extent, and I like some surrealist artwork. My favorite Artist is Gustave Dore. TV: I watch some Anime ( a show called Princess Tutu is likely my favorite) of different genres but mostly of the comedy/slice of life/ romance sort I suppose. I will watch darker stories but they have to have a very good story and some type of moral to justify any violence or what have you for me to watch them. I also will watch some sitcoms and the like ( my taste in anime genres generally carries over to 'regular tv' ), but I do like the occasional crime drama ( I like the 'who done it?' type stuff), travel shows, and some other educational programming (particularly of the historical variety). Hobbies: I'm student of Kung-Fu ( although martial arts is more of a lifestyle than a hobby); I'm trying to run a RP on another site to help me get started with my writing, which I would like get into and hope to use the RP to refine my skills as a writer. I also, collect Vinyl records btw. Other info: Reformed Baptist ( but don't worry, just cuz you're not Christian doesn't mean we can't be friends. I sometimes find myself preferring an honest Atheist/ Muslim/ Buddhist or what have you over many supposed Christians at times), I help teach 3rd-5th graders during Sunday School, and I'm currently working on a BA in Biblical Studies. I might be something of an Anglophile and a Japanophile ( odd combo I know ). Also, if there is probably a bunch of stuff I didn't list under 'likes', because I seem to pick up interests like a kid picks up seashells on the beach; so, feel free to start a conversation about something even if I didn't list it .
  11. Peter Jackson.... So FiM can become what it was always meant to be.... Lord of The Rings with flippin' candy colored equines:
  12. Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves Let me forget about today until tomorrow.

  13. Brotherhood, has the best weapons, move lists, and best balanced side missions/ actvities. 4 was much better on having side missions, but Brotherhood tied them into the game play better I think. Location was also more interesting.
