Now, see how I wrote(typed?) "Layer One"? That means the other layers are coming, soon. Soon as in when I discover a purpose to them. I know Layer Two is going to be a powered up variant of its predecessor element, Eg, Water -> Ice; Fire -> (Ash maybe?).
Now this is next set is mainly about magic styles, I want to incorporate various styles of magic that I have seen over time.
-Formulaic, For those of you that have played Tales of Vesperia, it's like the magic Rita uses. It consists of using precise energy flow and balance to execute magical attacks.
-Scroll, This is based around using a scroll with various magical incantations written to the scroll. It is then released by channeling power to the scroll and moving the scroll in a complex pattern to create self-surrounding sphere inscribed with the internal incantations. Different spells have their own complexity and therefore require increasingly complex patterns to release their power.
-Symbology, This should be familiar to fans of Star Ocean. Symbology revolves around creating complex patterns and releasing their energy, the skill is very selective and the ability to use symbology is found rarely. While anyone may inscribe a pattern, Chant a few words and invoke magic, people born as symbologists can easily summon known(seen) symbols, and release the power after a short charge.
-Incantation, Literally just uttering specific words and phrases to preform various paranormal phenomena, but as it is the simplest art, it has the greatest amount of known spells. Users are referred to simply as mages, simple prefix added to their title defines their elemental specialty.
"Wait what about [insert unlisted style here]!" Of you think I missed an important style of casting, please leave a comment!
Next up is… oh look, how Magic works in general scheme. Also, how weapon users (non-mages) utilize magic.
