How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I hated the fandom at first because I just didn't like the fandom in general and the people I am friends with still hates the fandom. I started watching the series last year but didn't continue due to embarrassment till I found MLPlounge subreddit and talked to people and liked it over there, till I got addicted to another brony site, BAU.
