I ignore ads, but I still absolutely hate the idea of using an adblocker. Blocking ads is the quickest way to put an end to free content online.

Check out Trigun. It definitely has some good action, comedy and very interesting and unique characters. Not really steampunk tho. It's a scifi with some elements of American western genre, which was pretty interesting.

School is useful and necessary but the system could and should be improved upon. I think the biggest problem with the current education system is that everyone gets the same treatment when not everyone learns the same way. The image below pinpoints the problem I'm talking about. I feel like I'm the elephant in the picture. The current education system is not the most efficient way to learn for me.

I like Swedish, British and Scottish accents. (And I absolutely despise the Finnish accent I was cursed with. FML)
My favourite language is Vietnamese. I don't understand a word of it and could never imagine speaking it myself but it just sounds so pleasing and hearing someone speak it puts me in a good mood.

I find the whole idea of a word being 'bad' to be stupid.

April is pretty bad with all the tree pollen. I'm not particularly susceptible to pollen but it can get pretty bad. Second is July with all the heat. Winter FTW!

That is not a fact. Google "At Will Employment" In most cases, people not under some form of hiring contract can be fired "At Will" with no reason being given.
By saying "a lot of places", I meant entire countries (in Europe in particular). I understand that my initial post was quite unclear about this and I apologize for any confusion.

His employer told him that his interest in the show made others "uncomfortable".
That's a shitty excuse to fire someone over something as petty as watching a TV show and it's absolutely disgusting behaviour. I can tell you for a fact that this is very illegal in a lot of countries and for a good reason. Hope the guy gets a new job soon.

I actually discovered a new cartoon series called "Rick and Morty" yesterday. The series is about a mentally-unbalanced, alcoholic but scientifically-gifted old man who goes on adventures with his 14-year-old grandson. It's a pretty funny series but not good for kids though. Its first season premiered on last December and the season unfortunately consisted of only eleven episodes but season two is on its way! I'd recommend it if you like comedy, adventure and/or scifi cartoons.

Spiders are fine but moths.. You don't want to be a moth in my room. Flying insects are the worst.

Ehh.. This game looks pretty good but I'm not sure if I'm willing to spend 60€ on it.. I'm just a student with limited funds so I dunno. Maybe if my friends get into it, then I will buy it too but otherwise that's too pricey for me.

Steelseries Siberia Elites on my PC:
They are comfy and there's a lot of nice features. Good sound, different cables for different devices, good mic and surround sound to name a few.
I used to use a Logitech G35 headset but they broke so I'm not using Logitech headsets anymore since they all use the same design which I don't like.
On my phone I use Philips SHE9000 earbuds. I was looking for something affordable that gets the job done without breaking after one year and these fit my requirements. The jack seems sturdy enough to withstand the constant rubbing in my pocket which broke the last pair of earbuds I used. They also block out most outside noise. There are much better alternatives if you're looking for earbuds though.

I just installed Fistful of Frags on Steam. It's basically a western FPS with with weapons like revolvers, shotguns and rifles. Really fun IMO.
Others I've played are
TF2
Blacklight: Retribution
Tribes: Ascend
Planetside 2
I usually tend to stay away from f2p games though. I want to pay for my games instead of paying for microtransactions. It's weird, I know.

I don't use this "they only want to make more money" excuse often, but when I do, it's for a good reason:
That's a grand example of where I'd use the excuse. Making the same game every year with no significant improvements. EA is another one with the buggy as hell BF4 launch. Why couldn't they take the time to fix the bugs? Because they want money and they want it NOW!

I played Contracts, Blood Money and Absolution and I'd have to say Blood Money is my favourite, followed closely by Contracts as the two games are so similar.
I spent 11 hours playing Absolution and I didn't like how the game was so focused on the story. I never even bothered to finish that game.

Most notably,
Killing Floor 2
The original Killing Floor was transformed from a mod to a full game in just three months with a small studio. The game still ended up being damn brilliant and has sold more than 2.5 million copies. Now their studio is bigger and they have more resources and time on their hands so the sequel should really be something epic. So hyped for this one.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
I've sunk almost 200 hours into Borderlands 2 and enjoyed every second of it. This Pre-Sequel seems to be more of the same stuff which is exactly what I want from a Borderlands sequel. No need to mess with something that already works.

The Crystal Empire has been around for a while until it was cursed by Sombra a thousand years ago. It would make sense to assume that there's still a crystal princess alicorn around.
I don't know exactly where the time of Starswirl falls into the timeline though.

The Heart Carol from the episode Hearth's Warming Eve. I dislike christmas songs in general and this one is not an exception.

This game is going to fail. Probably turning into f2p at some point in the future.
- They make a game that NO ONE was asking for and they don't seem to be doing a good job at it.
- They fail to listen to feedback as we saw with the whole economy getting destroyed. They were warned.
- I heard there's a bucketloads of gold sellers going around too.
- Then the way they charge you for buying the game, subscriptions AND microtransactions.
Those are only a few of the problems I can think of atm. All they had to do was make a regular RPG experience with online co-op for like 6 people but no, they had to make a damn MMO. I'm definitely not interested in this game at all and won't be playing it.

I don't think Twitch was even meant to be the kind of money making tool Youtube is. I see the ad revenue on Twitch as more of a nice bonus you get if you decide to use their service instead of some other. Twitch is different enough from Youtube and they don't need to worry about it being a competitor so Twitch doesn't need to offer people crazy amounts of money to have them use their service.
Youtube has also had eight years to build a massive community so of course they're gonna have more viewers. Also, it's really not fair to compare the view counts as videos can be watched anytime but with livestreams you only have a few hour time window that just doesn't fit to everyone's schedule. Sure, you have the archives but the main point of Twitch is the live stuff and that's what most people use it for. They aren't interested in old videos.
The guy you mentioned in the OP is also a bad example of the viewer problem. I watch this guy AnderZEL on Youtube. He has around 420k subs and constantly gets more than 5k viewers on his livestreams even when they happen on weekdays at 3 PM EST. It's all up to how you advertise the livestreams.

I dislike close minded people, as in the opposite of open minded.
Basically the kind of people who just refuse to believe in facts and hate on others for doing something/being different.
It's ok to not like things but don't be a dick about it. If someone prefers to do something you don't like then ignore them.

@@Lumen,
Crystal Empire is much smaller than Equestria.
And I meant Demon Shimmer and in any case, her teenage army could easily be turned into demons by her if she wanted some extra firepower
For her to rely on such a small army, the teenage demons would probably have to be pretty powerful. That or she was planning to make more in Equestria. So apart from creating a semi-poweful(?) army, we saw her crushing some concrete and mind controlling large amounts of people. That doesn't really give a good image of her full power.
There's a similar problem with a lot of other characters too so it's difficult to draw comparisons. What makes her demon form different from other powerful creatures however, is her obvious weakness, the crown, which makes for an easy target so she has that as a disadvantage against others.
-
Shimmer needs Twilight's crown to do anything and she also had to get an army of teenagers while preparing to take over Equestria.
Discord was alone and he didn't need any magical items to rule Equestria and Sombra did the same but with the crystal empire.
She is weaker.
-
While Discord may be a bit more powerful than Sombra, he doesn't seem as intelligent. We've barely seen Sombra (or Discord) actually fighting for real so we don't know what he could pull off in a serious situation. What we did see is him completely preventing Shining Armor from using magic, after effortlessly dodging his attack. Later he absorbed into the ground from where he was able to grow crystals and then materialize on top of one and before all this he was able to take over an entire empire while possibly working alone, and then make it disappear into thin air for a thousand years. He isn't as powerless as people make him seem.
I believe we don't know enough about Discord or Sombra to make a good analysis on how the fight would go, but I'm sure Sombra wouldn't fall to a simple snap of fingers.

The Glorious PC master race thread
in Media Discussion
My PC is just over three years old and the only upgrade I've done since then is some extra RAM. Here's some specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz
RAM: 8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz
HDD: 931GB SAMSUNG HD103SJ
GPU: 1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
PSU: XFX Core Edition PRO450W
MB: ASRock Z68 Pro3
And I use this all to play oldschool Runescape.. Looking forward to Borderlands: Pre-Sequel, Civilization: Beoynd Earth and Killing Floor 2 though.
