  1. Well, my mother toungue is spanish and I speak english almost fluently (Sometimes, I can't understand what someone says or a sentence with complex words).

As for languages I want to learn, my inner weaboo has been screaming to me in my ear that I should learn japanese ever since I existed, but it died down a bit after I got into ponies because my interest in anime and japanese video games gradually disappeared. Now that I do Aikido, I got that interest back because it would be easier to memorize the names of the techniques and stuff.

Oh, and I'm slightly interested in learning French and BR  Portuguese, but for trivial reasons. I'd only learn French so I can understand the lyrics of a song by Le Soldat Pony and Portuguese because it seems very similar to spanish and therefore easy to learn for me.

  2. I don't use Facebook.

    I LIVE in Facebook.

Well, I lurk it. I barely post anything, but I simply read the posts from other people, talk to the friends I made there, and watch pages. I visit it at least once a day.

It also kind of surprises me that the majority of the people who answered this thread claim to be distant to Facebook. I'm not entirely sure why.

  3. Well, it really depends on your point of view.

Is this world magical to me? Yes, but only in a very specific way. Not in the way of how everything is connected and the very element of chaos, since I consider that an entirely different thing. I believe this world is "magical" because of how we control the events.

From what I've seen through the fictions I've seen where magic is real as it is, I concluded that magic is the generation of an event through the explotation of energy. This event or condition could be anything possible between the given universal laws, from making a source of light to causing someone's death. It's like typing a command in a game's console.

We do that, but in a different way from what we see in tales about magicians and mystical stuff. We exploit the laws of physics as we know them to make our own events, just that with larger limitations. This limitations are usually the product of not knowing enough about such laws to make a certain event possible or simply lacking the capability to generate enough energy to make it happen, whatever it is. In a way, you could say that magic is limitless technology.

Is this world magical? Yes, just that it's not the kind of magic you see in fiction; just like the fact that robots exist but they're different from what we see in movies or just the general media about them.

TL;DR: Any sufficiently advanced form of technology is indistinguishable from magic. Therefore, our world could be considered magical but limited.

  4. Me? I'm woking on my musical skills in general: I'm trying to polska polish my guitar, bass, and vocal knowledge and I'm also trying to find inspiration to make MLP-related music that's loyal to the concept it wishes to represent and not just an instrumental with a picture of Rainbow Dash in the video it would be uploaded in. (Kind of like sogreatandpowerful, if he was a teenager that made 3-chord alt-rock instrumentals for his own amusement)

I'm also trying to get better at LoL and to prepare myself for that part of the year where I go from waking up at 10 AM every day to waking up at 5:45 AM everyday. (Some people call it "starting school")

  5. Hm... Nah.

You see, I think it's completely unncesesary. Especially because the whole show is about the magic of friendship. I think "intellectual" fights like the ones we saw in "The Return of Harmony" and "Friendship is Magic" fit this more; it's more interesting than a fight full of big explosions and huge exchanges of destructive power between two characters for the kind of fiction MLP:FiM is.

I want to use Doctor Who as an example for this, even if it's barely relatable. You barely see any actual physical fights or violent action scenes: it's all about the Doctor having to solve and outsmart his enemy, or facing some moral dilemma, inner demon, or whatever inconvenience shows up. From what I percieve, My Little Pony is closer to this than fights like the one between Twilight and Tirek. It's simply not necessary.

I used DW as an example because every episode is like that, anyways. MLP episodes with conflicts involving big villains who want to ruin Equestria in some way are extremely rare and only fitting for Season openings or finales. After all, it's more of a slice of life comedy series with social conflicts than one about big adventures to SAVE THE WORLD.
TL;DR: Action and/or fighting scenes don't fit the approach that's usually seen in episodes to solve problems. It's more about outsmarting the enemy and defeating it with friendship.

  6. What would the world be like without sight? What would things be like? What would they look like? Would computers exist like they do here?

Also, another one I've wondered about is what would the world be without human beings or without society. What would life be like if we acted solely on instinct like the rest of the animals?

  7. Equestria Girls 3 and an actual pony movie were announced (The pone one is estimated to be released in 2017), many SJWs in Tumblr want to see everyone of us dead just because we exist, two... things (I can't recall what they are) were launched into space that contain the image of Celestia and Luna respectively, and...That's pretty much anything "global" I can recall and tell you about the fandom. There were many dramas, too. Too many to mention.

I'm not sure if you already knew all of this stuff. I'm not very in touch with this fandom myself now-a-days. Also, our community is pretty stagnated, as it always becomes when we go through a season hiatus. The wait for season 5 is long and boring.

Also, M.A Larson still recommends his novel: Pennyroyal Academy.

  8. I always thought the "pony of shadows" we see in the episode is Tirek. (Even like that, you can kind of explain it with the events in the IDW Nightmare Rarity arc I'm not going to mention explicitly for spoilery reasons).

It IS frustrating to see that we never got another mention of Flutterbat, though. Not even a small reference to the continuity. Personally, I think it's one of the most interesting parts of the season. The problem is that it's hard to make it fit with the rest of the show. Same reason why Discord barely appears at all in the episodes. He doesn't fit in the usual context that most of the episodes take where it's a generic slice of life social situation.

  9. I used to be very afraid of the dark when I was a little kid. VERY afraid. (Just to give you an idea, I used to put on t-shirts really fast because of the few seconds it went dark in the process). Now I'm not as afraid of the dark, but sometimes I get really paranoid and creeped out by it.

  10. Well, this is very well elaborated. I barely understand physics and I understood everything in your theory in a way that made me curious.

However, for a rather personal reason, I think there's always something wrong with theories like these. I've always believed that trying to apply the laws of physics that we know on Earth to Equestria is like trying to write down unmeasurable noises in the musical notation: there's no point in figuring them out because it's obvious that they are different from musical notes to a point where they can't be even thought of in the same context. That's my explanation to why also magic is like science there and stuff.

It would be as valid to think that the air is thinner on Equestria, as it's obvious that the life forms in there are different from here. Maybe their lungs work differently, or they don't even oxygenate at all. It's a huge mystery; the kind of mystery that refuses to be solved.

  11. I believe that the main reason behind this is the fact that english is some weird fusion between ancient german and ancient french that generated itself in the medieval era, which would give it irregularities like these.

It's great to see more of this video series. The message this video gives makes sense when you think about it.

  12. Hexakill is a rather hard mode. From my experience, it's just way too easy to get into teamfights; which actually makes it pretty interesting. I wish it was a permanent gamemode, though.

It's also interesting how hard it is to actually push a line, since they're pretty connected to the jungle. The sanctuaries add a pretty interesting advantage over the other team, too.

Anyways, I have a smurf account in NA that became level 3 recently. If anyone wants to add me, my summoner name is GearheadWilliams. My main and first account is level 17 and in LAS. It's name is just Gearhead.

  13. Many bronies I've met through my life in this fandom were and are either in their late teens or their early twenties and on, so I'm used to it. None of them creeped me out, and I actually felt honored to be among people that are at least three years older than me. I felt.. Protected. Of course, I've seen some weird-looking adults at meetups and I've met a married couple; but it's more cool than creepy to me that someone is so old and yet able to have taste like that. If I were crept out by someone, then it would be because of their actions.

  14. Most of my dreams are painfully bizarre, but I have a hard time remembering them. I don't even appear in most of them, though.

One of them was about how a corrupted Pinkie Pie murdered Rainbow Dash from a TARDIS. For some reason, straight after that, I'm in what was my school back then (I had this dream like two years ago) and everything is grim, dark, and corrupted. Then, when I'm about to leave, everything goes bright.

This lasts for a while and then Pinkie Pie tells me that she killed Rainbow Dash, and I can't remember much later. I then can't leave school because a huge forest with a monster is outside the door and it won't let me leave untill I kill it. This monster is a fully corrupted Pinkie Pie that almost kills me.

When I somehow defeat her, she dies and her parts are sent into a sky deposit-thing where they store stuff of that kind, but I can't remember what kind. She tries to find me there somehow, but harmless. The guy who runs that place has some giant orange wrench and repairs bodies or something for some reason.

That's all I can remember of it. I have another one I got to record in text like this, but I don't feel like writing it.
