  1. @@DwhitetheGamer, Ice raised an eyebrow. How exactly did this pony know anything about his abilities whatsoever? Not once did he say a word about himself to this guy so it seemed strange for him to even think so. But regardless, he just wanted this situation to be over with as fast as possible so he could get back to what he was doing. "It's no problem, just don't go around randomly spouting out things about what you can do to others unless they ask. If you don't, you'll look arrogant, but that's all I gotta say about it." He continued onward, minding his own business.
  2. Ice was surprised. The river was somewhat barren and he couldn't find anything more than two fish. Now he understood why the griffons were so poorly rounded when it came to goods. It was hard to find anything. "Bummer, man..." He muttered under the water before coming up for air for the last time. After which, he grabbed up the two fish, placing them on his back. At this point, he started walking away from the river, not paying any mind to whoever might have been nearby. On the one hoof, he was locked in thoughts on how to help this poor place, and on the other he was thinking about his journey. It's like his mind was two separate spinning roulette wheels. Luckily he found a way to sate both spinning wheels in his head. A place where he could find information on both topics that'll help him along while he was there. "Here we go." His mind made up, Ice started making his way back towards town, putting away the fish he had in a literal icebox.
  3. @, Ice Blizzard was busy with his head in the Guto river, looking for fish to eat. It had been a long journey there, and according to what he had heard, it might've been even longer. However, something rang in his head: Why did the griffon-folk mostly eat rocks when they had a river nearby with fish to eat. In any event it confused him, sure, but regardless, his fishing was going pretty well. By now, he had managed to catch a few salmon with only his mouth. They were set neatly on a pile next to him as he continued fishing.
  4. Ice realized that the place was a bit on edge with them around, but he figured that he shouldn't do anything major within the town, and he'd be fine. Unfortunately, his goal to find fish was somewhat....stalled due to the fact there was seemingly no shops around. "Crap. Looks like I'll have to go somewhere else..." In his mind he had remembered walking past a river on the way here. "Guto River..." He made another turn, aiming towards the outermost portions of the city.
  5. "Yeah, for Griffons mostly, though. Ponies hardly come up here." Ice nodded in reply, and sniffed the air. It felt a bit stony around the area, but considering the name of the town they were in, it made sense. The surrounding area looked very precarious, and jagged. If one didn't have the right sort of traction on these steep ledges, they'd be needing more than a magic spell or a 1-Up to save them. However, for Ice, this wasn't a problem since he had been in much more slick environments before. As they neared the tavern, he noticed a massive minotaur sitting alone outside. Frankly, he was very hard to miss and he should've seen the guy as soon as he stepped hoof from the train. The bull man was very familiar as well, looking like someone whom Tyra had met awhile ago. The event was almost impossible to forget. Semantics of such weren't exactly in his repertoire to say the least. In other words, he didn't really know exactly how to approach the minotaur, and in his mind had started trying ideas of what to say. Unfortunately, nothing popped up. What made it worse was the fact that he knew he and Tyra were good friends and seemingly had something..connected somehow. He wasn't sure exactly what, but he did know that it would only be awkward and a bit...strange if he was just...there. Naturally, he knew avoiding a concern wasn't the best solution, but wanted to at least give Tyra some time alone to spend with another one of her friends. "I'm gonna go see if I can't find a place they sell fish at. You go ahead and grab some drinks, and I'll meet up with ya later." With a grin, he made a turn to leave her with the minotaur so they could do what they do. For now, he wanted them to get back together.
  6. "Probably." Suddenly, the train came to a stop, steam whooshing out from the sides as it froze to a standstill. They had finally arrived at Griffonstone station. Ice noticed this, and looked outside, "Well, here we go." He trotted towards the exit, and got off the train, beckoning Tyra to follow, "C'mon. There might be a bar or something around."
  7. Ice blinked, wondering why exactly the train was so...apprehensive at best. Maybe it might've been the atmosphere of which the environment took place. No matter what the case, though, the train was getting closer to the station. "Weird...everyone's awkward like this is prom night or something. Didn't realize everything made everyone a bit loose." He looked over to Tyra, "Maybe we should leave him. If he's not interested, then we shouldn't pester him. Besides, we're close to Griffonstone now."
  8. "Well, I was getting a little hungry. Why don't we--" Before he could finish, his piece was interrupted once again by someone else new it seemed. Ice looked over at the new pony, hoping that at least this guy would be less rude compared to the other one he had met a moment ago. "Uhh...maybe?"
  9. Ice blinked and shook his head. "No, no. Tact means discretion, savviness. Ya know? Being clever? Something this guy over here really doesn't know how to do." He shrugged, "Said he can heal, levitate, magic blasts, I dunno. All such a dull blur. I didn't really even ask for his story. He just came out with it for some reason."
  10. Ice didn't bother paying the other pony any mind. He simply put his hoof to his forehead, shaking his head. "Unfortunately, not everyone is as friendly as you on this train. For some reason he wanted to know about my abilities and said for me to tell him mine since he told me his. Spouted some long story stuff about going to Celestia's school, and I just..." Realizing he was probably being a bore, Ice shook his head, putting his hoof down. "Eh, not important." He leaned in and whispered into Tyra's ear, "Though, I will say I've seen plastic toy soldiers with more tact."
  11. "Heh, right?" He returned the hug, "And yeah, I'm going there too. Mainly because I think I'm finally ready." This was much better--meeting up with someone he knew and could properly converse with. "How about you, eh? You ready to take on the summit? There's so much we could use from this place. Griffonstone is rich with history."
  12. Ice shrugged. He didn't really have much of a reason to feel bad. If he wanted to simply not share his abilities, it was his choice. What wasn't his choice, however, was how well Copper would accept it. And by the looks of it, it seemed to him that Copper didn't take kindly to it at all. Such is the way of the inevitable. Regardless, with his reading environment now disturbed, Ice figured the best thing to do would be to locate another car to continue his waiting. So that's what he did. "See ya." He flashed Copper a grin before exiting the car through the door. From there, he entered the next car over. @@Unicorncob, Much to his surprise, he saw a familiar face. "Ey, Tyra!"
  13. @@DwhitetheGamer, Ice tilted his head, somewhat dubious about the entire thing and just how much weight his piece held in the grand scheme of things. He didn't really ask for what he was about, and he's just showing off for some reason? This wasn't exactly entertaining to him. The story, nor the book. Of course, Ice tried to be as respectful as he could whenever he could. Despite this, he simply didn't feel he owed this guy any sort of explanation on anything. However, he didn't show his disinterest up front. "Hey, cool story, bro. It sounds like you have a really really formidable skillset that no one should try and mess with." In his head he rolled his eyes. "But if I did have any powers, I'd show someone better than I could tell them when the time came." He shrugged, "So yeah."
  14. @@DwhitetheGamer, "Eh? This thing?" Ice looked up, wondering to himself if it was the best idea to reveal his capabilities to someone he barely knew. Of course, he wasn't the type to simply ignore a question either. So he simply settled on a grayer answer. "Well, I was sorta born up north. Have a shtick with the cold, ya know?"
  15. @@DwhitetheGamer, Ice could tell by guy's speech that Copper was a bit up there in terms of performance--in Copper's head anyway. Regardless in Ice's head, he bit back the urge to burst out laughing like someone had just asked him for a ridiculous pay raise. That, however, wasn't important. What was important was at least seeing what this guy was about. "Ice Blizzard. Nice to meet you." He sat back in his seat.
  16. @@DwhitetheGamer, Ice didn't pay him much attention at first, and looked up at him after a moment. "Eh? Yeah, I've been prepping up for quite some time. It's been years since I first heard about it and now I think I'm ready to face the challenges." He shrugged, "And maybe learn a new thing or two about myself and my abilities. Everyone can stand to learn something new, right?"
  17. Ice Blizzard had heard about this strange mountain in the old city of Griffonstone that had to do with a strange power and monsters or something. To him, it sounded like something out of a AAA comic book or video game. But knowing Equestria, this stuff was very much more than real. Because of it, it naturally drew his curiosity. This is why he was currently on the train to Griffonstone. He simply could not wait for the possibilities and sheer fun he would have here. Who knows? Maybe he would even learn something new from all of this. In any event, the train was rolling along the tracks to Griffonstone, and Ice was kicking back in his seat. He passed the time by reading his book, wondering about who else would be going as well...
  18. Once Ticktock activated his shield, Ice was quickly ready to jump down with him, which he did. He didn't want to waste anymore time there, as the ice landing was ready for them when they needed it to land safely. "Let's blow this popsicle stand already, huh?"
  19. @@Fractured, "Well then, this is something I won't wanna miss." He trotted to a nearby front row bleacher to take his seat and watch. "Battle for the ages right here. Whose hospital bill is gonna cost more after this? Nobody knows..." He took out a bucket of popcorn he had bought, and started munching on popcorn with bated breath.
  20. Ice looked out over the hole, gazing upon what possibly could be their way out. He listened to Ticktock's idea and gave a slow nod, "I gotcha. As soon as we jump, we'll be able to land safely with no problem. We better hurry, though, guys." He started using his magic to create the slide...
  21. @@Unicorncob, @, @, @, Jack had already configurated a plan in his head. The street lamp above them would provide the perfect cover... "Good idea, Dubs. Follow my lead." As soon as he saw Sifana slowly making her escape, Jack followed suit and started slinking off, hoping for Double to follow while Lorec dealt with Raze.
  22. @, @@Unicorncob, @, @, Jack rolled his eyes. This guy here didn't seem like the smartest tool in the shed. Regardless, it made him angry at how nowhere this conversation was going. He turned to Double Play. "Hey Dubs. There's a saying: It can be hard to win a fight against someone smart. But it's impossible to win against someone...not so smart. But eh, some of us were just meant to fly off into left field." With that, he simply shrugged, and pressed a button on his backpack. One of the perks of behind famous was the protection. "So let's see...that's more backup to help." Jack turned to face Raze and gave a mocking half grin while holding his bat in one hoof and a silver baseball in the other, "You should really learn how to actually play ball before you get kicked--if you have any that is."
  23. @@Fractured, Ice had followed them through the portal. While they were busy talking among themselves, he was busy writing some things down on a notepad with a pencil in his mouth. "Hm..." On the other side, he looked up at them, "Well when you live where you get goosebumps when you breathe the air, you get used to it after a while." He walked over to them, "Before you girls start, I got a question: How would a shooter game like paintball or laser tag sound for a game night in Bangcolt? Like...a shooter type thing with blasters that shoot apples, walnuts, peas, sequins, apples, and stuff like that?" A long pause, then his maple eyes blinked a few times, "If you can't already tell I'm a sucker for these types of things, which makes me wonder what type of battle this is gonna be between you two." --- After her boss had left, Nadelle went right back to work. "Y-yes!" She immediately ran to her office where she bean to review patient documents...
  24. Ice quickly sprang into action. Going with Radiant's idea, he would try to make a pile of snow outside for the airship to land in safely instead. "Hang on, people. This could get dicey in here!" He would then try and freeze the drill with ice seeping through.
