  3. This account is currently dormant. I have to... get over more trama...

  4. Hey, would you mind if I enter in this? I'm looking for a nice place to roleplay and work out loose ends in my OC.
  5. Ok, I chose Alicorn, because I couldn't decide from the main 3 options, and I'm not saying Alicorn OCs are "Mary Sue" ponies, I'm simply refering to the OC named Mary Sue. Also, another reason I chose an Alicorn is because I wanted my OC to be particularly special, because I think of myself as a bit more than different from other people. I would have simply made it an earth pony, but remember, later in Starshine's story her wings and horn are restored. And yes, my OC comes across many obstacles, and the biggest one she came across so far, she wasn't powerful enough to overcome, so she had to have nearly half the town help her. I made a post on it on the welcoming forums, and you can read it right now, if you don't mind long stories.
  6. Stormy Night, a purple pony Starshine met along the way to Canterlot. Was it Canterlot? I don't remember. Anyways, go check her out she's a great story teller, and the reason I came to the forums!
  7. I've heard many people say "Alicorn OCs commonly turn out terrible" and sometimes... I wonder if mine is terrible like the silly old Mary Sue alicorn, and her name describes her personality. She has no backstory at all, and she's all perfect in every way, so she says. My OC has a who, what, where, why, and how to her, but I'm still rather dubious about how good the quality of her creation is. I'll put out a general idea of the WWWWH here. Who is she?: A strange alicorn with a strange backstory. What is her passion/purpose?: She loves playing video games and drawing things, and she doesn't know what she was put here to do, and like the other ponies, she plays her part. Whether it is really important or not, she doesn't know either. Where does she come from?: She comes from King's Island, an moderate size island East from the entire Equestria map. This island was rumored to once have Princess Celestia and Princess Luna's parents living on it. Why was she created?: When I started to take a liking to My Little Pony, I wanted to make a pony that had a personality like mine, and I couldn't decide on an Earth pony, Pegasus, or Unicorn. So I decided to make her an Alicorn, but add something that wouldn't cause people to treat her like any other princess, or average pony, which is that her horn and wings were torn off, and are not usable. How did she come to be who she is now?: Well, she wasn't born from anypony anypony knows about, but she, nor anypony else knows that she is actually Celestia and Luna's mother. Eventually, this is revealed the night of the Demon's coming, and everypony's minds have to be modified, but Twilight, Celestia and Luna all remember exactly what happened. So, does my alicorn OC suck? Please tell me your opinion, I really want to know. Edit: I have a new OC... ask me about it, if you want to. Further replies on the previous OC will be ignored.
  8. Really? Some people call her Sunny, just so you know.
  9. Do you have any knowledge, relation, or friendship with a grey pony with yellow hair, an uneven gaze and a bubble cutie mark?
  10. Princess Celestia, have you ever dressed up in a banana suit and walked around the castle yelling "I'm a banana"? If you haven't, would you do it, please? :3
  11. I'm Starshine, an alicorn from King's Island. I traveled far and wide to get to the place I am now, and I'm happy I came. Ask me a question, and I'll answer.
  12. Ok, if you came to see my drawings, back out now. My drawings stay in a sketchbook. To be real honest here, before I met a special friend of mine, my drawings sucked. And by sucked, I mean sometimes you wouldn't have any idea what it was. I commonly enjoyed drawing people, a lot like myself today, but one problem was that I didn't have a realistic goal, so every time I drew something, I would always scoff or frown at it and say something like "This is not how I wanted it to look." Then I met... well I guess it would more be watched a person from afar, and that person happened to be an Otaku, and her drawings of people were what I wanted to make them like. I had tried drawing manga before, but like most everything else I drew, I would scoff or frown and comment on it not meeting my expectations, like always. But I looked at her drawings and drew, and continued to draw getting better by the year. Soon I had to say goodbye to her, but I still continued to draw. Soon, I became more and more satisfied with how each drawing turned out, and I began adding new things to my drawing style, making it more and more pleasurable to look at. But the drawing skills was not the only thing I picked up. I began to learn Japanese words and phrases by watching animes with English subtitles, as well as becoming a fan of Vocaloids, and soon the Black Butler. I changed a lot because of this person. If I were to meet her again, I would tell her "Because of you, I learned to draw this" and hold out some drawing I made. I have actually drawn probably over 400 drawings, maybe even more. Now, if you say to people or yourself "I can't draw" I'm pretty sure you can. If you can write your name, or simply make marks in the dirt, you can draw. Maybe you're not satisfied with your drawings, or you scoff or frown at them every time you draw something it's just that you need practice, that's all. You don't have to learn how to draw, unless it's your passion, or you need to do it to meet a requirement for a mandatory thing. Now how good are my drawings? Well I can't tell you that, because I can't describe quality very well in words. The only things I can say about them, is drawing eyes well is no problem, nor is body shape, hair, nose, mouth, or chin shape. I am mostly skilled at drawing hands and fingers, but feet are difficult. I am completely honest with my drawings, and I have to say, I get a lot of appreciation for it. That's all I have for now. Cheers!
  13. @Royce I'm not sure, that's why I said "More or less" But otherwise, I'm fine.
  14. Chryssipuff 4 life (Picture is not mine, it's just adorable)
  15. I don't really know how this goes, but I'm going to try my best to come up with a good introduction, so bear with me. I'm a gamer, an artist, and I have had a childhood that wasn't very pretty, so when I started watching My Little Pony, I decided "Why don't I make my own OC?" So I did. My OC is an alicorn, and she is very special, or as she sees it, strange. The place she comes from is not on the map whatsoever, but she remembers the name of it. The place she comes from is King's Island, or as some people called it then, "The Isle of the Great Alicorns" which everypony knew the "Great Alicorns" as Celestia's parents. Starshine never knew who her parents were, all she knew is the people who raised her found her as a filly, all alone under a bit of rubbish. The two ponies that raised her would always tell her she would become a princess like the filly Celestia who raised the sun. But she never found anything special or princess like about her, no matter how hard she tried. She would always go to school and get picked on, and the only ponies that made friends with her would always have little to no loyalty. She did not find her cutie mark all through school, and people teased her even more for being an alicorn with no cutie mark. She tried keeping in her feelings for a long time, and at last, on September 7th a terrible nightmare rose out from her latching on to her back, chewing off her half of her horn and tearing off most of her wings. The next day at school, people simply avoided her, for they did not want to look upon the terrible pain she was in. They pittied the pony, but their jealousy of her being an alicorn kept them from showing her any more kindness than they always had. The next several nights, the nightmare would come out and wear on her wings and horn, as if it wanted to make sure they would not grow back, nor heal. Starshine felt that the demon wore on her spirits, as well as her body, causing her to live in misery for most of her childhood. At last, like a rainbow in a rock farm, a pegasus pony by the name of Twine had befriended her one day. She spent a lot of her time trying her best to keep Starshine happy. She would bring her to her house, she would tell jokes and stories, and the night she realised that special pegasus pony wasn't going to leave like the others, a pure white pony sparked from her horn and defeated the demon, bringing both of them back captive inside her. Her horn and wings however, were still destroyed, preventing her from flying or using magic. Now she was simply an earth pony that was once an alicorn, with still no cutie mark on her flank. She knew that this would almost certainly draw attention to her, and this was the last thing she wanted. She felt fed up with this place, and she wanted to go somewhere, anywhere where she would be shown at least enough respect not to be picked on everyday. Troubled, she asked Twine of a place she could run away to, where people were kind to each other. Twine told her it was unwise to run away from home, but decided to suggest a place anyways. Ponyville, the land the filly Celestia lived in, was west from King's Island, and was a place of order and peace. She told her that the only trouble that happened was rare, but the place was very very far away.from home, and would take a long time to get there, plus she would have to sail across ocean along the way. Starshine thanked her, stayed one last night, and bid farewell to her dear friend the next day. She traveled across the small land with all of her possesions, plus some non-perishable food to eat along the way, and snuck on to a ship to Manehattan, sailing across the ocean for many days and nights, until coming to her destination at last. Manehattan was a place of very judgemental people, and she had to keep her luggage constantly on her back to prevent any unwanted questions about her alicorn race, or her blank flank. She continued to travel, and met a pony who seemed to be in a similar state than she was, even though she wasn't an alicorn, she had no cutie mark, and she seemed very depressed. She asked her what her trouble was, and she said she was being picked on because of her flank, even though she was an adult pony. She showed her that she had no cutie mark either, and told her about her intentions of moving to Ponyville. After staying a couple nights, she came up to her earth pony friend, stomping her hoof and insisting she move to Ponyville with her. The pony frowned, and refused. She couldn't leave Manehattan, for she wouldn't know where else she would find a job, plus moving to Ponyville would take a long time. Starshine stomped both her hooves this time, and said she wasn't ever going to get her cutie mark trying to fit in and living in a place that would just encourage her in doing that. This convinced the purple pony, and they both took a train to Ponyville. When they arrived at Ponyville, they were both, naturally greeted by Pinkie Pie, which threw a New Pony party for them, and at last, her friend had overcome her depression and found what she was meant to do. Her cutie mark flashed upon her flank, and Starshine smiled, wondering to herself when she would get her cutie mark, and what it would be... More to come! Special thanks to Stormy Night, one of the special ponies that made themselves known in my OC's life. This backstory is rather general, and it doesn't pay much attention to specific details, but to be honest here, Starshine's backstory is mostly based on my backstory in real life. Edit: Ok, Celestia lives in Canterlot *Smacks forehead* Also, Stormy was from Filly delphia, not Manehattan. Sorry about that.
