Well, it could be that a large part of bronies and pegasisters consistently shove the show and all things related to it down other people's throats. It could be that a lot of the fanart/fics of the show are nsfw or explicitly violent and that we are taking over a show for very young audiences by drawing/writing them. It could be, as many a member of the blue hell that is tumblr would put it, a 'cesspool of fedora wearing, transphobic/homophobic white guys who think they are better than everyone because they like a show that was meant for little girls'. Now I've met a some of people in this fandom that do fit these. And it's sad. But really, a majority of everybody I've met here are actually pretty decent. (But I could be bias there because I always seem to avoid toxic people 97% of the time.) Now I've been in many fandoms where we've been attacked for liking a show because a certain selection of fans are over the top and become offensive and disgusting (like the weeaboos, for example. Every manga/anime has them. It sucks.) But really, I just don't find this to be true for the people I've met in this fandom, because most of y'all seem decent. Really, it's just the usual 'Small group of people in fandom do bad things, therefore everyone else must do it too.' but on a much larger scale because this isn't just some anime that only affects the group of people who like the show and the haters, but a large, well known cartoon that everyone has heard of at least some point in their lives. And really, in the end of the day, there is always going to be hate against bronies because people had to stretch the rules of the internet too far and when it involves such a well known show, it's was just bound to go up in flames. But I'm just tired, so I'm just going to enjoy my show about ponies quietly and maybe get some sleep.

Sorry, but I just had to ask somepony out there about this. So what's the deal with the name's in MLP? All the ponies are named after the talent they have obviously, but I wonder if the ponies actually know about this? Like you can damn your foal to eternal suffering if you name them, say, Cursed Luck, or you can bring them fortune by naming them something about money or joy. So do parents chose the life the children will have? Does someone out else name them? Are they not named until they find their talent? (which is obviously not the case but you know, just throwing it out there) Because I'm fairly sure ponies would have begun to notice a trend relating to names and cutiemarks. (And the CMC can chill and stop trying dangerous activities, because I'm slightly concerned for their safety.) But then again, I could be overthinking this, but this has been bothering me ever since I began watching the show (even as a little five year old with braids in her hair watching G1). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (Also, just a spoiler, I haven't read the comic or seem season 3 upwards of the show, so if it's covered there, then opps, my bad.)
