  1. I'm a huge fan of crime, mystery, and neo-noir thrillers, with some of my favorite movies including...

    - The Manchurian Candidate (1962/2004)

    - Seven (1995)

    - Memento (2000)

    - Deja Vu (2006)

    - Inside Man (2006)

    - Zodiac (2007)

    - Prisoners (2013)

  2. Did you remember the Trainer who had a Pachirisu won a World Championship? Talk about amazing.

I mean, Sejun's Pachirisu was amazing, but don't pretend like any Pokemon can or will work competitively. The stars aligned at Worlds 2014 for Pachirisu to work, and Sejun was smart enough to know it. At that point, the meta featured an overabundance of Thundurus and physical sweepers. Pachirisu's Volt Absorb + Follow Me negates the threat from Thundurus entirely, and pumping all EVs into HP and DEF allowed Pachirisu to withstand physical threats from the likes of Kangaskhan and Mawile. Even with all of that going for it, Pachirisu was still relegated to a niche support distraction that allowed Sejun's Mega Gyarados to power up for the sweep.

  3. Blackjack is a game of rules, not skill, which is why the house edge is less than 1% (0.28%). It is one of the best, if not the best, casino games to play if your intention is solely to make money. I've made thousands of dollars over the years playing casually, and very few sessions actually end up with my being in the red overall. Again, I enjoy Hold'em and poker in general BECAUSE it is a game of skill, but games of skill are much harder to make a profit off of overall.

  4. My dilemma when it comes to gambling is that I love Hold'em, but Hold'em is NOT a game you play to make money. It is far, far easier to make money in Blackjack and other casino games as opposed to poker in general. I play Hold'em to have fun, but if I find myself in the red I switch over and grind Blackjack for awhile until I'm back in the green.

  5. One of the biggest reasons I tend to prefer foreign music is because I can't understand the song lyrics. It's hard to explain, but while I find song lyrics interesting, I'd much rather experience the music as a whole. I find that when you can't understand the lyrics, you hear them as another sound, as opposed to something with a derived meaning and significance.

  6. It originally started out as a joke, but as a gag birthday gift one of my friends bought me a Tinker Bell plaque. Well, I don't know what or how it happened but 10 years later I found myself loving Tinker Bell and in possession of way too much Tinker Bell merchandise...

  7. I have a gaming PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, New 3DS XL, and a japanese imported Vita. Out of all of them, my PC (obviously) gets the most attention and I would say my Wii U or Vita is the most neglected of the bunch, which is a shame because my Vita costed me a pretty penny since it is a limited edition Japanese region-free model. I also emulate various other consoles through my PC, including the Gamecube, N64, PS1, PS2, and GBA.

  8. Sure, I can give it a whirl. I'll need details though. The more details you can provide, the better. Also, please make sure if you want to have a render incorporated into your signature, that you have permission from the original creator to use/modify it.

  9. More than anything, I want to see HMs removed from the general move pool, and instead reimplemented in a sort of "field move" system. Ideally, each Pokemon would be able to learn four combat moves (as they currently do now), as well as one field move. Field moves are essentially the current HMs except they can only be used out of combat, and are limited to one per Pokemon. This gets rid of the need for things like HM slaves, using up one of your four moves for a shitty HM, and the hassle of trying to forget HM moves. Replacement combat moves for the useful HMs (Surf + Waterfall) would be easy enough to create.

  10. It's not really Western, but it's not quite anime either so I'm going to count it. The French animated series Wakfu is the single greatest cartoon I've ever watched. Both seasons of the cartoon are available dubbed on Netflix, but personally I prefer the original French audio with subs. The animation quality is gorgeous. I really can't describe why the show is so great so just watch this to get a sense for yourself.

Also, the show has one of the best opening themes ever.
