I think they would be kept similar, they might be changed up a little bit here and there. Perhaps Rarity would be less vane and upper class and more into modern styles of fashion and shows her generous side a bit more. Or maybe Pinkie Pie could be a little less crazy and random and it could focus more on her fun side and optimism.

Either Rarity or Rainbow Dash, because I get the impression they'd just leave me alone and I'd get to do whatever I wanted.

I completely agree, these characters have become too well loved and known for them to ever be replaced. These are the MLP leads now, and I will not be interested in G5 if the mane 6 don't make a return like in Transformers. I'm open for a G5 if it follows basic reboot rules, just depends if it's well written and if it's a good show.

Hello. Now I really enjoy reading fanfiction, Past Sins, The Keepers of Discord, Loss, all that good stuff. However one thing I don't read that often is crossovers, because often I don't understand the source material. Everyone seems to be going on about Fallout Equestria, but I've never played Fallout and I'm probably not going to in the near future, so I wanted to ask, can one enjoy Fallout Equestria without having played Fallout.

Twilight becoming a princess was similar to Discord being reformed. It was a bad decision ultimately, but they executed it brilliantly enough that it get's a thumbs up from me. I think the show would be a little simpler, maybe a little more innocent. Although I did really like Princess Twilight Sparkle and the beginning of EQG, and I have to say that these 2 things really proved that this decision was based on wanting this character to grow and change. That's great from my eyes, and it also meant that it was an underlying theme for S4 and more seasons to come. If she had stayed unicorn, I don't think it would be as jointed and flowing as season 4 was with it's themes. Overall, I think they've executed it so well that I wouldn't change it if I could.

I guess that makes sense, but the thing is that Celestia is not really a princess. She is a god, a queen, and a military leader, but not a princess. The general consensus about princesses is that they flap around, do nothing, wait to get captured, and get saved by a male. I guess it's very respectable that Lauren changed this with how serious and wise the regal sisters are, but the name still doesn't sound very fitting. Still, it's just a minor gripe and in terms of the show it means nothing. Every country in the real world has different customs and names for their rulers, so I guess it would make sense that the Equestrians refereed to their rulers as princesses.

I'm talking about the stuff in the shows early stages of development. When Lauren was commissioned to make Friendship is Magic, there were certain things she wanted that weren't allowed. The royal sisters original names were Queen Celestia and Queen Luna. This would have made so much more sense, and for some reason it wasn't allowed. Originally, the ponies were the characters from G1. Firefly, Suprise, Posey, Sparkler, Twilight Sparkle, and Applejack. I don't get why most of these weren't allowed when some were. They said it was because of rights, but Twilight and Applejack made it, and Tirek made a return in G4. This is just my opinion, but I think these designs look a bit more classy, and they would have been virtually the same characters. Why were both of these banned by Hasbro?

I didn't like the movie. That's because In my opinion, Equestria Girls is awful. The plot didn't make much sense. The sirens were nothing like sirens in greek mythology, and it didn't make sense how the gas which was suppose to make people 'adore' them made the battle of the bands rage harder. Surely if the gas made the students adore them, they would stop what they were doing and let them win. It also wasn't fully explained how they couldn't use magic and why only now they are striking. Also how they seem to have wasted all of season 4 when they could have made their attack on CHS, (It starts at the end of EQG, and then skips to after Twilight's Kingdom). I also hate the premise, because I feel that it goes against what Lauren set out to do. Arctofire's blog spoke about what I mean, and I agree with a lot of what he said. There is some stuff to like about it, I thought Sunset Shimmer was done quite well despite the sudden character change, and Shine Like Rainbows was a nice song. But ultimately, Equestria Girls is not my thing and I almost hate it.

Yes. Part of MLP is that the characters always have names that are oddly fitting and too fitting to be realistic.

I think their all great friends to tell you the truth. The only reason why we think some characters are better friends with one another is because they've had more screen time together. For example, Rarity and Rainbow Dash have yet to have serious interaction with one another or an episode.

We don't have one, although it would be really nice. Discord is a hero now and not an anti hero, but maybe this new S5 villain could be a well intentioned villain. Other options include Starswirl and Scorpan, but they could work equally as well as traditional good guys.

Well I don't really read that much out of show material, but even though this sounds crazy, you should try some of the fanfics. You would need to explain to your kids that this is separate from post season 2, but you could read Past Sins. It's an absolutely charming tale that emulates all the best aspects of MLP, and really does feel like an official work. Just type it into the search bar and it should come up. If your looking for just official work though. I guess Return of Queen Chrysalis could be a good option, but that's one of the few I've read, and it's a graphic novel.
