  1. I long for the day when sexual orientation is irrelevant. Why does someone else's gender or sexual orientation even matter? What good comes from caring about something so inconsequential to anyone but the person who holds it? I treat everybody with respect, regardless of any differences between us. If they don't treat me with respect, I don't need to bother with them.
  2. I suppose I've spent too much time on the angry side of the internet. Why would you want to be a Christian if you don't hold any of their beliefs? I thought the whole point of being an atheist was to NOT live based on the assumption of the existence of God. If you want to believe in God, why don't you?
  3. I am quite surprised that none of the fire-and-brimstone theists have come to hawk this thread. I thought for sure that being a brony would change nothing at all. I guess I was wrong. As for being an atheist, I suppose I fit into that category, although I don't doubt God's existence as much as I don't care. There are people in this world who live under the assumption that God exists, and there are those who do not. We all live and function in the same world, so it is as if both are true, which leads me to believe that definitively knowing whether or not God exists would not matter at all. I simply don't like to make assumptions, so I suppose I fall on the atheist side of the agnostic spectrum.
  4. $60 is kind of the agreed upon price for newly released video games. I have no idea why this trend started, but it doesn't need to exist. Games should be priced based upon: -Gameplay (Is it complex? Is it fun? Does it get boring?) -Graphics (I don't care much for graphics, but if they are truly something to behold, I wouldn't mind paying a bit extra) -Content (Is there a good amount of it? Is it fun or filler? Is it a quick romp through short levels or a boring grindfest?) -Replayability (Do I have a reason to play the game after I've beaten it? Is there any worthwhile endgame content?) Too many times have games like Wolfenstein The New Order been packed with unnecessary filler content just to justify the $60 price tag. If a game isn't worth $60, it shouldn't have to cost $60.
  5. Yes, because they were both great companies that have lost their luster in recent years. Also Nickelodeon is ruining Spongebob in the same way Sega is ruining Sonic. Both used to be great, but have now gotten wrecked by people who don't do the IP justice.
  6. In my mind, it is undoubtedly a representation of equality and political correctness taken to the extreme. No-one excels at anything more than anyone else. No-one is above or below anyone else. Everyone is equal, but nobody has anything that makes them special or unique. It makes the point that nobody can stand out in a truly equal society, and that is why true equality can never, and should never, exist. Differences must be worked through instead of being destroyed.
  7. Thanks for the warm welcome, everypony! I think I'm going to like it here.
  8. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Rainbow Dash How did you find MLP Forums?: My friend sent me a link to an image that originated from this site. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I sat down at my computer one afternoon and reluctantly decided to check out for myself what was so great about My Little Pony. I watched the first few episodes and became hooked! I blazed through the first two seasons before realizing that I loved it! I've been a fan of the show ever since. I haven't yet discovered who I am (what my passion is), but I've always loved music and had the desire to create it. I enjoy playing video games like Team Fortress 2, Diablo 3, and Civilization V to name a few. I also like reading fan fiction from within the fandom (I dabble a bit myself :3). Besides being a brony, I'm also a HUGE fan of The Elder Scrolls series. I was initially introduced to the fandom through Cupcakes and the .mov series, but became a full on brony after watching Turnabout Storm. I was drawn to the friendliness and kind nature of the fandom, but recently had some negative experiences with the community I came here hoping to find some friendly bronies that I could talk to and who can hopefully reignite my once passionate enthusiasm for the show.
