  1. What about... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q54Dno0d_qk (I keed, I keed, haha!)
  2. Pulled the trigger on Issue #1, and it's AWESOME!! I'm using Comixology. Thanks, guys! [EDIT]: Well, I'm about to sink a whoooole lot of money into this venture. Onto Issue #2
  3. I know for me, "Sisterhooves Social" sort of did because I know what it was like to be in Sweetie Belle's position... Where you want to be appreciated by your older sibling but they just won't. She seemed SO sad and she was trying so hard! And also the S3 finale... Idk why, there were just an onslaught of emotions in that one.
  4. Ooh I used to hate it esp. in the show, but it grew in me. I wouldn't say it in the meatspace at all but I think it's sorta cute and in a place like this it might even be a little appropriate
  5. Oh yeah , I pretty much always skip the intro. It's only a throwback to years of hearing the jingle on commercials, and I DESIPSED it then. I can tolerate it now, but I particularly am irked by those first ten notes.
  6. I've wondered, but man, she's intimidating AND kind at the same time. I think that's what you need. I mean, from one aspect, she does seem to always need to call on the Elements of Harmony to save Equestria, but hey, a Leader can't fight without an Army!
  7. Wow, so very different! I really like what I saw though... I'll have to watch the whole thing later. When I first started watching the show I thought they'd change the title sequence (or at least SOMETHING) each season, like in many other animated series. They sort of did, but nothing huge is different for EVERY season. I'd be interested in seeing a new title sequence for future seasons!
  8. Comixology makes me a bit nervous. I got the Madefire app but I'm pretty new to comic apps... How does it compare? (I'm gonna search as well but I definitely wanna see what ponies here say)
  9. That's what it is right there... He goes from being basically completely unimportant to being the primary source of the problem occurring in his stories... Or being WAY important, just ridiculously pivotal in his stories.
  10. I like all these but seriousness doesn't seem to fit. Sadness/sorrow sounds better.... Someone can be serious and still be fun/enjoyable to be around!
  11. Interesting. I think of him as a tag-along a lot of the time, but his purpose is sort of important... he IS a mail boy! I wouldn't say he's a pet but his influence on everything isn't that great. He does seem to always get the worst of every situation, but he looks like he enjoys being basically a slave (friend).
  12. So I'm actually planning to buy one (or more) issues of the FiM comics. What is a recommended starting place? Is anything straight out of the show or are the stories all different (and then, how canonical?) [EDIT] To be more clear, my biggest concern is whether the comics feature the same stories as from the show? I'm super-interested and excited and I'm gonna order from Amazon (unless there's a better price somewhere else!!)
  13. and the forum was up- Zecora's lovely face and all. A small amount of tension froze in the air, but he went ahead with the joke. Whoooo! Didn't think he'd see this much xD
  14. True but I felt like MP&S it acted like they were going to different worlds where they existed only because apparently you're presence is reestablished every moment continuously. Which is different from going to a different world. So yeah. I'm wrong. But I was really curious about Sunset Shimmer, and I think that kinda covers the possibilities for me, heh
  15. business!! Seeing as how they actually have some competition (the Flim Flam Brothers, even having been kicked out) and they HAVE business partners DT's father, I think that'd help them grow. I mean, it wouldn't help in context of the show, so I don't see it happening at all, but logically I think it'd be good for the Apples if she was secretly a business genius.
  16. I can see where that's from. Maybe I'm thinking a bit one-dimensionally (plus, I decided to go back to season one and watch some of my favorite episodes... that definitely would reinforce my mind against the more recent things that have happened). But also I think I am the type of guy who is easily manipulated.
  17. Whooo!! Twilight would definitely have trouble with social behaviors (like with Flash Sentry), but I think she'd be a cool, not-too-girly, not-too-dependent type of girl. Rainbow would be pretty laid back and cool, and of course competitive. I think she'd sorta fit the "gamer girl" stereotype in some ways, and of course she'd be loyal. Really playful, too. Pinkie would be interesting. I can't really say because I'm not sure I know her real personality well enough at this point. She'd at least be energetic. :okiedokielokie: Rarity would be lovely but needy. REALLY needy. And very expecting, too. I think she could get a bit dependent and manipulative (ala Spike) Fluttershy I think would be a sweetheart but maybe too...... I think innocent is the word I want, but that makes it sound weird. I think she'd be kinda submissive. Applejack would probably be my pick because while she can be a hot-head, she just seems to be the most level headed and sane thinker behind (sometimes) Twilight. Maybe I'm wrong on that. But she'd also have a nice muscular body.
  18. hm. that would make sense, since magic is actually the strongest force in Equestria. and friendship IS magic
  19. Maybe that's what it is... they seem incomparable. I could be digging too deep in, but maybe for me they just don't 'fit together' all that much. It would've been simpler if they were attached to "traditional" elements: grass would be kindness, caring for nature, or Fluttershy fire could be courage or loyalty, definitely AJ or Rainbow water no clue what would fit here. wind I would imagine as 'freedom' or something had to grasp, e.g. Rarity earth could also be loyalty/reliability, AJ or Rainbow for these I think too. and then magic good thing I wasn't hired to write the show... it'd be a MESS!! These are actually really bad (written in 10m), but I'm sure you guys see what I'm getting at. They don't HAVE to be "combat skills", but they don't seem to be that well outlined given that their usefulness are only displayed in context of the "slice of life" episodes. How WOULD kindness and honesty save Equestria?? What really makes some of these elements different and how are they equaled to keep Harmony in balance??
  20. That's where it gets me though- she DOES have her highlight episodes, but when it comes to the real issues (particularly at finales/premieres) her element doesn't seem to serve any purpose to the M6. She is there more for the audience than for her friends. I think Maud Pie was a good step away from her being only a comic relief because it sort of broke her "Pinkie Physics", but even then I think you could place many of the others in that situation! She gets her chances to be a sensitive pony but its just that in the grand scheme, for the other ponies she seems to almost be an outsider (because her "conflicts" are rarely conflicts.)
  21. I'm with you- I hope this season (at least) she gets a bit more core... most of her episodes really only focus on her (instead of most characters who often have conflicts between the Mane 6 or with other people) and I feel like she doesn't get much of a chance to display a more thoughtful, true personality that goes beyond being an energetic funball all the time.
  22. Really nicely done! I like the scale of everything... things like that remind me of "Shadow of the Collosus".
  23. my last relationship went weird. My ex ignored me for a week and veeeery subtly was hitting on a mutual friend/associate of ours. Meanwhile, I was making (ONLY) friends with another chick who somehow had a huge crush on me. BOTH of us saw what the other was doing as something bad, sort of like cheating, but neither of us really cheated. So there are boundaries in my mind. I think one would have to take things pretty far with someone else.
  24. I have always felt that while Pinkie is really valuable to her friends, for the purpose of the show, she's only ever served as a comic relief for the main cast. Her element is laughter, but that seems just so ambiguous- it's not like "happiness"/"joy", and most of the time she expresses her element through parties and her personal energy. But in the context of Equestria and its actual problems, it seems like the Element of Laughter isn't one that really helps the team all that much. I have always felt that the elements are rather mis-weighted (kindness vs. generosity? Loyalty vs. honesty? and then LAUGHTER??), and I just find it hard to say that laughter/joy is technically virtuous. The other 4 (minus TS) have character traits, but Pinkie has more of a "talent" or a mood. How often has Pinkie's element actually helped the team? :okiedokielokie: What do you guys think about this? P.S. I don't mean to bash on Pinkie- I still love her!
  25. I think she can! We've seen how much power and influence she can have. Besides controlling the night, she can dream walk, bring dreams together and DESIGN dreams. I think she'd be capable of putting someone in a coma!
