  1. Yesterday, ZeldaSage and I watched 'The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning' together! He hadn't seen it yet and it's one of my favorite Disney "sequels" (although it's actually a prequel). ^_^ We've been on a Disney kick lately :P (the week before, we watched Aladdin).

  2. For the last couple of months I've been playing Grand Theft Auto V (the online multiplayer). My hubby bought it for me so I could play with him and his best friend and I actually have really enjoyed it. :P I quite enjoy customizing my cars! But it can also be very therapeutic to be able to beat up people in-game when they yell obscenities at me for driving crazy or bumping into them while walking down the street.  B)

  I would never do such things irl, of course... but in-game? No real people get hurt, so.... :P

  3. People thought the music "wasn't timeless enough" and that the villain didn't get enough screentime--that last one is too true. :P

That's crazy! Not only was the music completely awesome, but the villain was one of my favorite villains from a Disney movie! And he had the best villain song!

I need to watch it again... :)

Anyway... the last movie I watched was 'Inside Out' with my best friend ZeldaSage. ^_^ It's a really cute movie and worth watching, imo.

  4. I'm reading Spindle's End by Robin McKinley for the 4th or 5th time now (don't remember how many times I've read it, but it's been more than 3 I'm pretty sure). It's one of my favorite books and I love her unique take on the story of Sleeping Beauty! Fairy Tale retellings are some of my favorite books! <3 :fluttershy:

  5. When I eat a Klondike bar, I eat all the chocolate off the bottom and sides; then I slide the top piece of chocolate off and set it aside on a plate or paper towel; then I wrap the ice cream in the wrapper and eat it (ending in me licking the wrapper to get all the ice cream) and then eat the top piece of chocolate like a potato chip. :P

Another thing that I eat in a strange way are HoHos (http://hostesscakes.com/products). I eat all the chocolate off the outside and then unroll it and eat it that way. XD

I also tend to try to chew equal portions of food on each side of my mouth. Which means that when I eat candy (M&Ms, Smarties, Sour Patch Kids, Gummy Bears, etc.), I sort by color (and size for peanut M&Ms) and then eat the same amount on each side of my mouth and I try to make it as equal as possible (including biting things in half if there's an odd number), so that there is an equal amount of food on both sides of my mouth.... yeah... I know I'm weird. D:

There's probably more... but that's all I can think of for now. :squee:

  6. I have a laptop with Windows 8 (which I may eventually upgrade to Windows 10). I love the fact that my laptop is portable. I couldn't have a desktop because I like being able to take my laptop with me when I travel. I use Firefox for all my regular browsing, but use Chrome for YouTube (I also use Chrome on my phone). I have a Moto X phone with android and I LOVE it. ^_^ Best phone ever. <3

  7. My most prized possesions include my BJD collection:

    mybjdfamily_april2015b_by_kelaria_daye-d

And my laptop (which has all my important info, stories I've written, and games and photos on it), is also pretty vital to me (plus it was really expensive). <3

Another thing that is really special to me, but that wasn't expensive like my laptop or my BJDs, is my little wolf pup plushie that I got from the Como Zoo in Minnesota. His name is Kato and he's been to so many places with me! I take him with me whenever I travel and, if I'm alone, he usually sleeps with me to keep me company. :kindness:

  8. I am currently 28-years-old and I have only had my driver's license for a little over a year (I got it in June of 2014). The reason for this, is because I developed a phobia of driving at some point between High School and College. I never really liked it before then, but the longer I waited to get my license, the more scared I got. And even when I moved to a small town with much less traffic than where I came from, I still was afraid. I even had feelings of panic when just thinking about driving. I would always come up with excuses not to practice driving when my husband would try to get me to. Finally, last summer (in 2014), something just clicked in my brain. I knew that I needed to get my license right then and there, or I might never go through with it. It was like a switch got flipped. Within the space of a few weeks, I practiced driving and passed the driving test with 100%! :squee:

So how do I feel about driving now? Well, after telling my husband many, many times that I would never "like" driving, but would do it because I needed to, I am going to admit that I have to eat my words. :yay:  I actually do enjoy driving now! I don't want to do it all the time, but I actually kinda enjoy it while I'm doing it. I even feel pretty relaxed behind the wheel, which really surprises me, given my history and how scared I was for so long!

So, do I like driving? Yeah. I do. :fluttershy:  I like being able to get where I need to go without asking someone else to take me. I like being able to go out and do things by myself, without having to make my husband be my transportation. I like being able to do more because I can take myself, instead of feeling like I can't do something because I don't want to inconvenience someone else by asking them to drive me. Driving can be fun, but it's also important to drive responsibly. Don't text and drive! Pay attention to what you're doing! And for the love of Celestia, please use your turn signal! :P

  9. Hello all! :fluttershy: I currently reside in the state of Missouri in the USA! I live in south-central MO (about 2 hours south-west of St. Louis).  :squee:

Originally, I was born and raised in Arlington, Virginia right outside Washington DC. My parents actually both still work in DC. I also lived in Mankato, Minnesota while I was in college, so I've kinda been all over the place. I have to say, though, that Missouri has been my favorite place to live so far. I don't intend to move anywhere else at any point in the future. Missouri is home. :kindness:

  10. I just got a new laptop for my birthday in June! ^_^

I actually picked it myself, which is unusual, because my husband is more of an expert on computers than I am (he built his desktop himself). But I happened to see this beauty and liked the specs on first glance. When I showed hubby, he approved and we decided it was the best option! :)

Anyway, my new laptop is a Gigabyte and the specs are as follows:

    • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M 4 GB GDDR5
    • 4th Generation Intel Core i7 4720HQ (2.60GHz)
    • 8GB Memory 1TB HDD 128GB SSD
    • 17.3" 1920 x 1080
    • Windows 8.1 with available upgrade to Windows 10

It also has a back-lit keyboard, which is fun! :D

    ETA: Here's a photo:

  12. I did this test:

    http://psychologytoday.tests.psychtests.com/take_test.php?idRegTest=1311

(@, I suggest you to try it also)

and I got 54 which is kind of a mix. Anything below 50 is introvert and anything above 50 is extrovert. So according to the test I am a liiiiiiiiiittle bit more extrovert but yeah I voted for in between.

Here's my results from the test:

    Sociability

    5

According to your results you appear to be the type of person who doesn't socialize very often. You likely have a limited social network, and possibly aren't really interested in extending it beyond a few close and intimate friendships. Having an active social life doesn't appear to be an important thing to you. Chances are that when the opportunity arises to socialize among a large group of people, you'll most likely turn it down if possible. This doesn't necessarily mean you don't enjoy socializing or being around people. Rather, you tend to prefer spending time with smaller groups of friends. Individuals who score similarly to you typically aren't conversation-starters, especially with people they aren't familiar with. In addition, they aren't known to be exceptionally outgoing, unless among close friends.

I'm actually surprised! I thought it would be a bit higher... I guess I'm even more of an introvert than I thought! >.>

Although I will say that the text description of my score is very accurate. There are two people that I actually prefer spending time with (in person) over being alone, and that is my husband and my best friend James (ZeldaSage). They are the only people that I would rather spend time with than be by myself. :fluttershy:

  13. My favorite pony is Fluttershy. The reason? She's just like me.  :fluttershy:  I see so much of myself in her, so I feel like I understand her the most out of all the ponies and can really relate to her. <3

My second favorite? Princess Luna. She reminds me of my best friend ZeldaSage, simple as that. <3 :kindness:

ETA: I chose Octavia as my third favorite, also because she reminds me of my best friend. I hadn't really noticed background characters before I met ZeldaSage. She and Vinyl were the first two background characters he introduced me to. Out of the two of them, I relate to Octavia more. She's elegant and classy (and plays the cello, which rocks). :)

  14. What does it feel like to be extroverted? Like, do extroverts have that much of an interest in other people or do they really just want to talk about themselves? How does an extrovert say or do just anything they want without dissecting every bit of it afterwards? I am so scared to offend someone or make someone think I'm weird by being myself that I just want to avoid all people. I cant see how anything I could say would be interesting to someone at all. Where does the confidence come from?

I can so completely relate to this... :/ I analyze everything I say so much and even when I write an email or type a post, I re-read it at least 3 or 4 times before posting to make sure it sounds right. And then I usually read it a few more times after posting, just to be sure. And often I will edit things after the fact to hopefully avoid potential misunderstandings. >.<

I worry a lot about what people think of me. Too much. I know I'm weird, but I still want people to like me... even if I'd rather not be around them 99% of the time. >.>

  15. I collect BJDs (Ball-Jointed Dolls) as my main hobby, and have since June of 2009. It's a very expensive hobby, and some people probably wouldn't understand why I spend so much money on dolls, but it makes me happy and those same people probably have something (a hobby or otherwise) that they spend lots of money on that I would never spend money on (for example, I would never spend hundreds on a purse or shoes, but some people do and that makes them happy, which is perfectly fine). ^_^

  16. I'm definitely an introvert. I prefer to be at home alone (or with my husband) and I only have one other person that I really love to spend time with on a regular basis (my irl best friend ZeldaSage), although that is a semi-newish development (we met just under a year ago, and before that, I never hung out regularly with anyone other than my husband or went anywhere to hang out with people).

I can be friendly to strangers, but I don't like being around strangers. It's easier for me to be comfortable around groups of children than with groups of adults (I work in a pre-school). And actually, I tend to get anxiety when I know that I am going to have to be around a large group of adults or when I have to hang out with someone (or multiple people) I don't know that well and "entertain" them.

Now, all of this changes when I get on the internet. I'm still shy and introverted, but it's a lot easier for me to break out of my shell and talk to people online than it is in person. That's why the majority of my good friends (the few that I have) are people I only know online. And that's perfectly okay with me! :fluttershy:

  17. It's you! :D I still have the laptop! ^_^

Now I can say more.... this is my very best friend and he means more to me than pretty much anything in the world! :kindness:

  18. I find it amazing how I can be watching a Youtube video on my phone in bed and start drifting off (and I've actually falllen asleep while watching videos in bed) and then the moment I stop the video and put my phone on my bedside table, I'm suddenly only half as tired as I was moments before. XD

This happens when I read books too. I'll be drifting off and trying to finish the chapter, but as soon as I put the book down, I'm back to being fairly awake. :P

However, if I'm having trouble sleeping, usually watching Youtube vids or listening to music or even reading a book sometimes does help me feel more sleepy than I was. ^_^

  19. I wear headphones with my laptop (most of the time) and earbuds with my smart phone & 3ds (and other small devices). ^_^

I'm actually strange, because I will have an earbud in my left ear, watching a YouTube video on my smartphone, and at the same time, I will have my headphones on, with the right ear popped out (so I can hear if someone is talking to me) and will be playing a video game. So I actually have a habit of wearing both at the same time! XD
