How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: My wife and I attended MegaCon a few years ago and saw a Star Trek Panel that included LeVar Burton, Brent Spiner, Michael Dorn, and John de Lancie. Someone asked about John de Lancie's involvement in MLP, and then we just had to check it out. After that, we were hooked!
We do a fair amount of costuming and prop building, primarily in Star Wars, though we branch out to other genres as well. As we were preparing for DragonCon last year, my wife asked me to make her a Grand Admiral Pinkie Pie costume. I was working on a Stealth Clone Pilot (from The Clone Wars TV series) and figured that'd make a good version of Rainbow Dash. This year we returned with more friends... Stormtrooper Apple Jack (TK-AJ), Darth Twilight Sparkle, and Empress Celestia!
