Dark caster would be your utter worst finisher to use, especially if it is a one time use.

Beast channeling( large monster) would be the best bet if you were attempting to best him solely with magic. It would pound relentlessly at the shield until eventually it would break, and that's not accounting for the seperate use of your own magic attacking him as he dealt with the shadow beast. Of course, if you tried to start a fight with it, he'd be on the defensive, and avoid it, heading directly for you.

The spell would likely be blocked and dispelled by Defiant Defender's counterspell on contact, rendering the engulfing effect unactivated. An above average spell, likely would require 4 hits to get through. Though that weapon arsenal alone would probably give him hell.

His biggest feat as a roleplay character is " Ha, I tanked a magic spell from the god of the freaking sun. Sadly I am unable to cast even basic level spells at even the easiest of circumstances, though."

This character isn't new, nor is he created to match anything. 'The' Defiant Defender is my interesting take on a warrior class in a warrior, Rogue, Mage rpg style fiction.I made characters you would not picture the first Time you heard "pony(class)" The mage class is a Pegasi, for Example. A Pegasi trained and able to use their weather manipulation abilities from a distance, through the use of a magical scepter. The rogue class is an earth pony Beasttamer who adopted the path of the wilds, as did Fluttershy ( long story short, her home got totally wrecked during wartime. Many of the animals died, and she vowed not to let a critter be harmed from the cause of war. Oh yeah, and there's a war.

Defiant Defender is nothing like you. He is not at all cool; in fact, he thinks cool is a temperature reading, and when he says "Oh, I just put on whatever old thing's lying around," he means "on the floor, where I threw it last night - but I turned the underwear inside out first." He may have sometimes thought that he was special, or destined for greater things, but probably dismissed the idea as a fantasy. He's got no emotional scars to speak of. And he's gotten no slack from you. In general, you care deeply about Defiant Defender, but you're smart enough to let him stand on his own, without burdening him with your personal fantasies or propping him up with idealization and over-dramatization. Defiant Defender is a healthy character with a promising career ahead of him. Forgot my first result running through one of my ocs, but it was a low number, so I went through again and highlighted every single thing that might be BORDERLINE yes, and still got a 20. Well Shiz. And here I thought Nixran "The Bulwark/Dragon's Fist" Ironhide was a Mary Sue... Apparently having a >Half-dragon half-Pegasus< OC wasnt bad. I verified a LOT of texts, and went through 4 seperate Mary Sue tests to check him... and he's apparently a borderline anti-sue. Maybe that's a sign I should not have removed his resistance (Not Immunity) to magic.
