Like with all events, it's not out of reason to ask someone to change it for you, then change it back after.

this might be a bit extreme.... but we should've a non-pony banner to promote users to join the day event. Calender events usually go unnoticed. :/

A banner seems a tad extreme, yeah I notice calendar things actually do fairly well when the calendar isn't full of tons of other things. Advertise it enough, and it should be just fine ^^ Can maybe get it added into the news ticker, though.

Sad days these days for Derpy, but it's not like soccer moms can ever get rid of her within the fandom. I don't particularly care for her a lot, but I know she means a lot to the community, and I hope people can find comfort in that she'll stay alive as long as they want her to.
