  1. I thought the pacing on the first half was done quite well, but not so well on the second. So if there was any way to remedy it, I'd change that. Kinda along the same lines is Chrysalis and the changelings' expulsion from the kingdom. Would've liked more closure than the "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again" mentality. Finally, that final song. Didn't dislike it, but I thought it could be a little better, perhaps up to par with the other two in the episode. And don't get me wrong here -- usually, I quite enjoy what Daniel Ingram puts together. This one just didn't sit with me as well.
  2. I almost saw them on that tour! Did an interview with the bassist once and was the production assistant on a video they did so I got to meet the rest... insanely cool dudes. While I'm here... I've been listening to this band's newest album pretty much non-stop for the last three weeks; it might be my favorite of 2012 so far. Here's something from their previous album, which I also recommend. Band name is Trampled by Turtles.
  3. I can't really say in terms of mph or km/h because I never checked. But I did track & field from seventh to 12th grade and was the fastest in my school (about 500 kids total so that's not saying thaaat much, though). Did everything from the 400m and below, including hurdles... best I got clocked at for the 100m dash was 11 seconds flat. Was never much of a distance runner. Could only manage a 5:30 mile, and I was totally useless beyond that distance. EDIT: I did the math and I think I would equate to 20 mph/32 kmh.
  4. Check these fellas if you're into country/bluegrass instrumentation with some added punk influence. Great band, fantastic live show.
  5. LOVE Dr. Facilier's death. Dude gets dragged off to voodoo hell, basically. I just remember really finding it an interesting death when I first saw it, and it's only grown on me with repeated viewings.
  6. I have to go with the Harry Potter series, with Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy coming a close second.
  7. Pegasus. I know it's already been said quite a bit, but there's just something about the power of flight that's super intriguing to me.
  8. Right! Would love to try to become ambidexterous eventually, though.
  9. "Jack's Theme" - Black Prairie Not on YouTube, otherwise I'd post a link.
  10. Varies. Usually it's one of these two styles: Usually it's something a little more flannel-ish. And I almost always have that beanie on.
  11. This modern masterpiece: http://surfwaxamerica.tumblr.com/post/22300435229/the-titanic-theme-played-on-the-recorder-im
  12. ^I'm in love with the flannel-ish shirt you have on in that. I'm probably going to steal it.
  13. I guess alligator. Not sure if that's actually that strange per se, but it was certainly strange/new to me the first time I had it, which was recently. Loved it. Need moar.
  14. I've met a few through interviews in the past, both in-person and via telephone. Big Boi (from Outkast), Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys, Colin Hay, Quincy Jones, RedOne, Janelle Monae, Carah Faye (Shiny Toy Guns) and a few NASCAR drivers are among my favorites. Also got to talk to Daniel Ingram before... guess he isn't famous IRL per se, but he probably counts on a forum like this!
  15. ^Dear diary: jackpot. ALSO THANKS EVERYONE. I'll take your love... AND CONSUME IT <3
