What's Next: Since i work on the game in my free time, the next things coming are some more feats, more spells, more npcs and creatures stats and also i'll add the scenarios to play certain events seen in the Show (and the movie), such as the War on Sombra, the Canterlott Wedding Invasion, the Storm King Siege etcetera. And maybe some more sketches, who knows

Because the best parts are from the memory orbs, archives, stories told by survivors not from the fighting scenes. Also using Fallout 3 and 4 as an example instead of the original one is quite a cheap choice. Obviously raiders will not try to reasonate with Pip, they usually don't do that because they are insane, but pipmanages to talk with others during her adventure, even "foes".- 35 replies

This guy get's it. Fallout isn't an happy setting like MLP, and that's why it perfectly clashes since one is super firendly and happy while the other is rather depressing, but still his characters tries to do something good. When a character well known does something drastic or something happends to him it's more addictive. If you use lolrandom OC character to do important stuff the story is less interesting and many people would be less interested into reading it.- 35 replies

Equestria Is Not A Kingdom. So What Is It?
Velgarn replied to Denim&Venöm's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
More or less what Fhaolan said. But also because maybe before Equestria was founded, there where the ancient tribes of ponies who then found Celestia and Luna and then called them "Princesses" and called Equestria a Reign, probably because they where organized in that wayor wanted to have some sort of unification. From that point on, everyone just referred Equestria as a Kingdom, but only as a generic name that could have lost his real meanings through time. The Crystal Empire is also ancient, and is a little explored in the Books, where Princess Amore is shown before Sombra became a "King", which is a title he gave himself for motives i don't want to spoiler for those who haven't read the comics. -

Actually the villains could have a trouble with them or not, since Wendigoes become stronger with negative emotions. Nightmare Moon has the envy (and maybe hatred) for her sister, so they could become stronger with that, but even so Alicorns are powerful beings so the outcome is uncertain, but as Lambdadelta said, probably NMM maintained the Heart's Warming Eve as it is, since is a festivity from before the coming of Luna and Celestia, and she just wanted to rule. Chrysalis probably have no idea of what a Windigo is, what they do but since she also feeds on emotions and captures others the Windigoes could have problems on feeding on the survivors, that are probably not enough. Also in that timeline the Tree is probably still in his place. The counterpoint is that since in the timeline almost all the positive emotions are gone, the Wendigoes would return and cover everything with ice and snow with ease. Sombra is a tricky one to consider, since he is maximum hatred, but still he is also a powerful being (and according to the IDW comics he is a Umbrum and not a real pony). As seen in the Crystalling, if the Crystal Heart goes off, the weater return how is supposed to be : blizzards and snow storms. So he probably had something to keep them away. Tirek would have probably absorbed their magic or essence or else or just being frozen by the hatred he had generated. Discord isprobably unaffected by them so he can just scoffs them off or probably since he change how reality works, they could have some problems Probably the only one who would be screwed easily are the Flim Flam Brothers, unless they come up with some sort of whacky inventions ala Ghostbusters to imprison the Windigoes, but since they are just a bunch of inventive liars, the outcome is unprobable (but funny tho) Glimmer is already obvious that she would fail to them, as seen in A Heart's Warming Tail.

You have also to consider that it would add some few extra details, but not much more. FO:E Takes place after S1 and within S2 i think, and then the war happends, so the setting would still misst Twilight becoming an Alicorn because of the war, but it would also have added sombra's return somehow relevant. The rise of Chrysalis would probably not being possible if the events forced Shining Armor to go to war and maybe getting killed or similar, also since Changelings feeds on positive emotion, they could have starved off because of the negative conflict that excalated. There still many variabilies that could have happend so the outcomes could be many, such as: Chrysalis didn't managed to infiltrate canterlot because the fear of war increased security measures. Chrysalis managed to infiltrated but then canterlot exploded, which could have killed her or mutated her and she lurks the underground crystal caves all alone. Chrysalis managed to infiltrate but she or her spawn starved for the lack of love. Sombra returned but found Equestria already in a state of war so the conflict turned into a three way war who ended as usual, but now the crystal empire is a new place to explore Sombra returnd and managed to almost whipe off both Equestrians and the Zebras who decided to nuke everything at the same time. As for others: Dragons could not even care at all, they could still raid the borders for fun while being shot by raiders Yakyakistan could be still there or also got nuked away somehow and the survivors have become more pimitive. Not real change in there. Hippogriffs decided to fled when war escalated and became seaponies with higher isolation Discord statue could have been pulverized by the explosion of canterlot. RiP Discord. Tartarus gate could have been sealed forever or even if Tirek managed to flee he would have a lot of troubles at absorb magic without getting shot in the face while a weakling. Glimmer could being nuked away or reunited with sunburst earlier because of the war or have her simple village of communists/raiders and nothing much. My money of her getting nuked. Poniville would then being enveloped forever by plunderseeds because the tree of harmony is gone or the arcane fallout could have killed off those seeds Notice that most of the things get a bad end because that's what usually happends in the story.- 35 replies

I'm okay with the new gen, styles and such, but the only thing that really saddens me is that it seems we will loose the old voice actors for fresh new ones. I think it would be very difficult to adapt to the new voices more than the new design. An example is the movie who has that strange new look from toonboom, but the voices are still those. even Equestria girls was super weird at first, but still, the VA where there to help us during the strange approach. I hope that the new VA will at least follow the old type of voices, but to me only Tabitha was able to say "Darling" in her own way. -
Because Wendigoes where defeated back in the days, and even if Starlight was mad at Twilight, you forget that the tree of harmony was still projecting his powers in all of equestria. So you had to first take off the tree and other things before Wendigoes could even do that, but i guess they where just "destroyed" long time ago

Hello all, i am Velgarn from Italy. While i'm not a 100% artist i often draw sketches about talking colorful equines or work on my Pen and Paper rpg game based on MLP. I could say i'm a fan since the s2 premiere and i enjoyed all the seasons so far, even those generic episodes who are not that great but still enjoyable.

Hello everyone, i am Velgarn, creator of a free pen and paper RPG called Seeds of Harmony, which is based on the MLP show with a strong fantasy influence, for those who wants to play to a more adventurous level. (Don't worry if i post here, i've asked the permission to Staff Members on the Discord) While Seeds of Harmony has a more serious approach about adventuring, combat ad spells, it also allows a good character customization, thats to the 9 playable races on the core ruleset, who are often not covered in other similar games or simply ignored for the more common ones, such as the Earth/Pony/Pegasus/Unicorn, the game allows you to also play as a Mule, Donkey, Minotaur, Griffin and even a Night Pegasus (or Bat Pony) , while the Pony Edition also adds the new races from the movie such as Hippogriff (pre Storm King), Catfolk, Lizardfolk and also the rules for Crystal Ponies (Pre King Sombra). The game has both simple and advanced rules, so people can decide which to use and how many. Base Rules are about how Skills works, how performing Checks based on characteristics and other values and also how combat works, and that's all. Still there are also more complex rules for those who wants them, because i also seen many times people starting a more simple game system only for starting to brew new rules for situations or actions not coveredat all. It took me 4 years to finish the game and i used all my experience on various game systems such as Dungeons and Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, Basic, Vampires: The Masquerade, Sine Requie, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and Dark Heresy. Dice System: The Game uses both d20 and d100 for the important rolls. WHile the d20 is only used to Hit/Dodge/Parry or to perform a Counter Check, the d100 is used for most of the other rolls, such as Skill Checks, Morale, chance of obtaining a Critical Hit, Cover and Concealment. The oder dice mentioned (d3, d6 and d10) are only used for Damage or duration of certain effects, spells etcetera. Core Ruleset or Pony Edition: In the original idea the game was only based on anthropomorphic characters, for the simple reason that a humanoid shape and posture is better suited for the type of adventures we are used to see and play, plus they have hands wichi is a huge advantage compared to hooves. Still, after two years i then decided to also make the Pony Edition, since not everyone like the idea of anthropomorphic creatures and just want to play as colorful talking equines, so i made the additional .pdf document for them. The fun fact is that the Core Mechanics are the same, and the Pony Edition simply adapt some situations for equine races, such as being no longer able to hold weapons with the hands (since there are none) etcetera. Even so, those races who are already anthropomorphic can still use the Core Rules (Catfolk, Lizardfolk and Minotaurs). Another difference is that the Core Ruleset uses a custom setting or "Alternate Universe", while Pony Edition is more oriented on only what seen in the show Character Creation and Progression: In SoH there are no Classes such as many rpgs out there, but Careers. A Career name isn't important per se, but the type of career is, since it indicates what the Career does. So for example you can be a Warrior, a Duelist or an adventurer and all those careers are based on Combat, so the Career type will be that. The Career type also allows you to "buy" feats who allows you to do stuff, from being more competent in a certain weapon, being more sneaky or even cast spells. Is still possible to acquire feats from different careers, but the cost will be higher and not all feats or their relative upgrade would be available, so each career will have access to a better version of a certain feat while others only the basis. Feats are obtained by spending Character Points, who are basically the game experience who is assigned by the GM at the end of a game session (usually from 5 to 15). Skills are another important aspect of the game and are increased simply by succesfully using them and obtaining a Success. Every 5 successes, you increase the relative skill rank by 1. So even skills your character has few or no ranks at all could be increased, as long as the GM allows you to do so, but many are also limited upon your character's education (Education level is considered a feat aquired during character creation). Downloadable Material and helping the Game: All the Rulebooks, Character sheets, pre-made Adventurers, Sketches, and even some Tokens to use can be found here http://velgarn.tumblr.com/SoH_Material. I decided to use tumbrl just for having a page where to post the link and being able to also add the updates, post drawings etcetera. Note 1: that since English isn't my first language, there would be probably some grammar errors and typos, plus the documents have a very simple layout. I am the only one who is working on this long project and i would grlady get some help from those who are interested, even simple feedback about games played using those rules. Note 2: Not everything has been translated at 100%, but the core ruleset can be used without problems, since i reduced the amount of spells and feats, items and such, but i'm slowly translating everything, but remember that i am alone, so have patience unless i get some extra help. Price? That's not how you spell Generosity. The Game is free.
