Well, Nimbus will, at the time the RP starts, have just appeared in Equestria, so obviously he will have no connections with any other ponies to start with. The way I intend for him to create connections with other characters is the old-fashioned way. That is, he meets the other characters. After all, Nimbus would be quite happy to meet living beings who don’t want him dead and, being a non-pony, he is probably someone who ponies would be curious about.

I wish to use Nimbus. Some notes regarding him: - The “Bolt Chaser’s Soul” power listed is not applicable to this RP. - The “Soul Devour” power may sound overpowered at first, but what constitutes powerful enough to trigger the power, as well as what portion of the power is absorbed, is up to the GM. So, if you feel Nimbus is growing too quickly in power, you can simply scale back the power he gains from souls. - The “Narith’s Soul” power can be scaled back in power, if ye so desire. Alternatively, I have an in-universe justification for if you wish for me to remove the power entirely. Times available Obviously, there may be interruptions that may take small or large chunks out of the day (such as appointments, impromptu stuff people spring on me at the last minute, et cetera). I wish to use Starshift. Contrary to the backstory listed, in the continuity of this RP thread, she has already become copper rank. However, the mission she did to become that rank was not in Equestria, so it still has been a very long time since she has been there. So, she is taking a vacation in her home dimension. Granted, the IPA did warn her of how IPA member holidays tend to end up being like…

*OOC: My apologies for my absence.* The fox looks at the ground. He would have helped, but, well, he didn’t see any openings, like he did with the dragon. He still feels a bit guilty about not having helped, though. Then again, he reminds himself, he was lucky to have been able to help on this adventure at all. He is, after all, no more powerful than a normal fox. That he helped with the dragon is a fact he cannot cease to be amazed by, even after such time has passed.

“Seen this sort of thing before,” Malchoir thinks, “Unless someone develops psychic powers pretty quick, winning this fight is all about the inspiration,”

“I’m Nimbus…” Nimbus finally says to Lightning. “Actually, it seems to be a case of memory lost by a spell gone arwy. I’m no wizard, but I’ve heard from one that those are harder to counter simply by virtue of not knowing as well what exactly you’re dealing with. Then again, that was a different type of magic, but I would guess the principle still holds,” Malchoir says, “And no, I do not have a water-based counter. However, something might come back to him upon meeting Luna. However, to avoid her feeling heartbroken if he doesn’t remember, I would recommend explaining the situation to her first.”

“One thing that would help me determine what is going on is to know your name,” Malchoir says. *OOC: I’d guessed Zero had died. Was I incorrect or…?*

Malchoir facepalms. “That sort of method only works in zany cartoons, Ryan.”

“I am a magically-created-and-augmented raccoon named Malchoir. What is your name?” Malchoir asks Lightning. This will hopefully reveal whether this is amnesia or a case of a misplaced soul inhabiting his body.

“Alright. Anyone know enough about his magic to know what’s gonna happen next and what we should do? Let him rest and recharge? Find a way to recharge him? Find eight mystical stones for some ritual to restore him?” Malchoir says. He has seen or heard of each of those at least once. Well, okay, on that last one, it was actually three herbs, but otherwise it fits.

*OOC: A response, SuperSonicSpeed? How likely is it?* Nimbus rushes over to Lightning to see if he is hurt. “Either outside interference or overdrawing magical energy, I would guess,” Malchoir says.

“I don’t know how to use it, though,” Nimbus says.

I must call “not it” on controlling Lightning. I do not trust myself with others’ characters, generally, unless they do not have much characterization. In this specific case, I do not have a sufficient bead on his personality or powers.

*OOC: Sorry. My fault for the pause, even if I did kinda have a reason (on which I do not wish to elaborate).* “Not a single one,” Malchoir says. “I think I have an evil energy attack, maybe, but no chaos,” Nimbus says. *OOC: Malchoir might know Chaos Breaker, though not personally. He works for the Interdimensional Protection Agency. Because of their similar goals, it is possible that the IPA might know of or even have worked with Chaos Breaker.*

Well, even if you couldn’t have them commit suicide, it’s still very OP to be able to have such complete control over someone so easily, I would say.

Um, okay, Lightning… That is a bit OP. Actually, a lot OP. Also, opening some fridge logic, namely: Why does he never use this on the enemies? I mean, think on it. Step 1: Use on enemies Step 2: Have enemies kill selves Step 3: Win

“Lemme guess. He has infused us all with his own essence and now resides inside us. Or… something like that,” Malchoir says.

“Perfect distraction. PERFECT distraction. Let’s teleport, shall we? Lightning?” Malchoir thinks.

“Given his state of mind, he may just fall for it,” Malchoir thinks to Ryan.

Um, I am still waiting for a response to what I said. I cannot continue otherwise. If I do not receive an answer, I will have no choice but to quit the RP.

“Give up that angle. We know one weakness. He’s insane. However, that weakness won’t help us much until we find a way to damage him. After that, we might be able to lead him to a trap,” Malchoir thinks to the group, “Though, in order to find that weakness, we may first need to find a way to throw him off us momentarily.”

“Teleport spam ahoy…” he thinks. First teleported away, then almost instantly back to the palace by Ryan. Pretty hard to get used to, even for one used to traveling between places magically. “I was created by an evil person, too, but that doesn’t mean you have to be evil yourself,” Nimbus says to Zero. “Lessee… Either positive or negative energy might work, area spells might work, water spells might work, acid spells might work, teleportation has no effect…” Malchoir thinks.
