A question regarding personas
SunriseGlimmer replied to SunriseGlimmer's topic in General Discussion
In other words, being friends with an otherkin is not a good idea? I forgot to mention that they often say (regarding themselves): The Dead God Lives. -
Should people feel guilty for being born Caucasian?
SunriseGlimmer replied to SunriseGlimmer's topic in General Discussion
A new order is rising. Its victory is at hand. -
Okay, so my friend recently told me that they are blocking me from a particular social media that we chatted on (we still talk in email) because they use that site to escape their human persona, and them knowing someone who is a human on there (aka me) made them feel uncomfortable. I don't quite get this... Does anyone know what it means? (All of it, I mean.) EDIT: I forgot to mention that we met IRL, but now we only talk online. To quote them, "I am blocking you on _________. Do not take this personally, but I use _________ to escape my human persona, and having known someone as a human who talks to me on there as a human has made me feel uncomfortable."

Should I feel guilty for being born white? When people see me, they see a heterosexual white male. (In reality, I am white, yes, but I am also non-binary and pansexual. Of course though, you can't physically see the latter two.) No offense to anyone who is white, but I hate the color of my skin. I feel responsible for all the degradations and genocides my race has caused in the past (and, to a degree, that which still continues to this day). And yet, if I tell anyone that my character defines me, and not my white skin, then I am labelled as a racist. Even this sentence can make me out to be a racist. (And that you cannot be racist towards white people, because they will never understand.) I did not ask to be born white. I did not ask to be born physically male. But... here I am. :/ Which is why I refuse to find a job. Truthfully, I'd much rather a person of color and/or a female to get said position that I would have otherwise (maybe) acquired. Do not argue with me here - I believe I am doing the right thing here. Progress. If this topic is too sensitive, feel free to take it down.

movies/tv Black Panther and the Media praising it as "the most progressive movie ever"
SunriseGlimmer replied to Mesme Rize's topic in Media Discussion
I'm just playing devil's advocate. If anyone wants to be proven right, then they have to first overcome opposition. Yes, I am trolling to a degree. I personally disagree with the statements that I am throwing out there. But there are some people out there who would agree with said statements, and thus I ask to everyone: which side is right? -

Society is progressing. I'm sorry that you don't see it that way. -

It will be a good time, because the vast majority of the actors are black. -

I'm personally not saying this, but a lot of people would call you a racist for saying such things. For all future commenters (including myself): tread carefully. -

Bult they also have to remember that there are not just straight white men in the world (in television programming). Alright, sorry about that. I was just playing devil's advocate and bringing in another angle, even if I do not agree with it. -

SunriseGlimmer replied to Mesme Rize's topic in Media Discussion
Just playing Devil's advocate here, but if a film does not revolve around the race, gender, sex, etc. of the characters (aka anyone who isn't a straight white male), then the straight white men would still oppress those in Hollywood, and in a large part of the world as a whole. To say this movie (and the comics before it) aren't progressive is kind of being offensive and racist. But honestly, many rarely care about "good characters" and a "good plot"; all that matters is if the movies are progessive or not. There are pros and cons to everything in all walks of life. EDIT: But one thing I think we can all agree on is that Hollywood (specifically, the cast within movies) has a severe diversity problem. This cannot be ignored. -
I myself am a rather complicated individual. My exterior personality is much like Pinkie Pie's, except that I am very much an introvert. I am intelligent and mature, yet witty and immature at the same time. I have a beautiful heart and soul (as I am told), but I can only express my true feelings and beliefs through writing. My hobbies and interests greatly reflect Moondancer's. Personally, I say I am "in between" Pinkie Pie and Moondancer. How about yourself? Which pony do you relate to the most, and why? Note: Sunset Shimmer is an acceptable answer, despite the fact that she is currently living in the human world.

What is your personal opinion on Muffins? (Formerly known as Derpy Hooves, or "Derpy" for short.) I honestly found her quite aderpable, and when she was given her own scene with Dr. Hooves in the 100th episode (Slice of Life), I was ecstatic. Although, I do believe that her previous voice actor no longer provides her voice of something? I cannot remember.

What Colour(s) Are Your Eyes?
SunriseGlimmer replied to SunriseGlimmer's topic in General Discussion
To be honest with you, that's not uncommon. In fact, if brown eyes are dark enough, they can be considered black. -
I don't have much going on at the moment, hence this random question. And the question is... What is your eye colour(s) IRL? I'll start. My eye colours are either hazel or brown. There are so many variations of both that I cannot determine which one belongs to my own eyes.

So much stuff to do in only possibly 2 (remaining) seasons.
