    Got through season 5 today. AJ is probably my favorite in season 5 (where Rarity was my favorite in season 1, nobody was my favorite in season 2, RD was my fave in season 3, and nobody was my favorite in season 4) as I feel like her episodes (especially The Mane Attraction) gave her some really nice character moments backed by some good episodes to me.

    Can't say there's really a specific moment. I tend to switch who I like depending on the season as I feel a character is better in one season than they are in another. Like I enjoyed Rarity's focused episode in season 1 the most and that made her my favorite of season 1 as I enjoyed the episode giving her layers to her character. Or in season three with "Wonderbolts Academy" serving as a great development episode for Rainbow Dash.

    Starting season 6 now: I think Season 5 is the best season. AJ is the best character in season 5 to me. "The Man Attraction" is the third best episode so far to me behind "The Last Roundup" and "Dog and Pony Show". Twilight and Fluttershy is the most boring combination for a pairing episode to me. I'm still very meh on Diamond Tiara despite her reform. It makes her a better character, but it was pretty sudden and only really a mentioned first in the episode she reforms. Episode was good overall though.

    Got through more of it currently: Twilight is probably the blandest character to me in season 4. I feel AJ has some of the stronger focused S4 episodes personally (even if I don't particularly care much about her as a character). Twilicorn I have no real strong feelings about for or against it (though I felt the execution was absolutely terrible). Going through 4 seasons and I find all of the two-parters quite lame so far.

    I honestly would like for the Wonderbolts and Celestia to get better characterization and focus to appropriate that.

    Well the thread was originally about what you personally felt "we needed" for the show before it ended, and others are just simply giving their opinion of what they'd find cool and or want.

    I've noticed this as well. Had just finished watching Rainbow Falls last night. The Wonderbolts are fairly unlikable d-bags in the show. I do appreciate the comics for making some characters like the WBs, Sombra, and Celestia more interesting.

    I'd personally like more Fluttershy/Pinkie Pie, AJ/Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy/AJ.

    So far 4 seasons in and "Bats!" is probably the worst episode to me. Didn't like how the episode seemed to push AJ being in a more negative light compared to Fluttershy. Just seemed like the episode was trying hard to make me feel like AJ was wrong and Fluttershy was technically in the right. It was predictably boring for this to be the case. I think the episode would have probably been far better had the lesson been to make a compromise, considering how adamant Flutter and AJ were. Overall it's just the worst episode to me so far easily due to that.

    Being 3 seasons in so far, I think I prefer Zecora, Iron Will, and Chrysalis the most.

    Funny enough I'm only 3 seasons in so far, and some of these I do agree with. Like the Fluttershy one. Fluttershy so far to me is pretty boring. I however never found Rainbow to me my least favorite but she was always there for me until season 3, where she got some episodes to further her character arc (making her my favorite character in season 3). While I disagree with your last one, I will say so far, I've enjoyed Rarity and AJ's episodes more than the others so far.

    After watching a few more episodes yeah, I'd have to say Pinkie probably is more annoying to me than everyone else now. On occasion her over the top approach just becomes somewhat unbearable to watch. She isn't terrible though.

    Luna is a very meh character imo. Good design though. Discord is also pretty meh to me. Season 1 is very boring.
