I agree. Eeyup. I have this idea in my canon to reform this one dragon into a close friend to Spike; he originally tried to kill him when they first met, but he comes to respect and even befriend Spike after going through a few really, really tough battles. I know it sounds really crazy, but it was just an idea I had; think of it like Hulk and Red Hulk.

I heard for the finale in Season 8, it's supposed to be another villain escaped from Tartarus and trapped the Mane 6 there, and they have to deal with some of the evil creatures there.

Something tells me Chrysalis will stay a villain, along with Tirek and Sombra.

But wouldn't that mean Spike's egg would've been centuries old? Not that dragon eggs wouldn't take a long time to hatch, but seriously. I agree.

Well, someone is walking through the woods, or what's left of the woods, by that town just a couple days after the fight between the monsterous dragon and Spike's parents almost completely burns the forest down, and they stumble upon Spike's egg half buried in ash and decide to take it to Canterlot, because they have no idea what will happen. I don't want Spike to get hurt by that dragon in Season 8.

Well, I'm sure we've seen something about episode 24 in season 8 with a Dragon claiming to be Spike's father, which I really hope it doesn't end up really hurting Spike's feelings. My headcanon is Spike's mom and his aunt were raised by a pony couple who found them on their doorstep as a hatchling (Spike's mom) and an egg (Spike's aunt), left by their real parents who just couldn't properly take care of them for whatever reason. Anyways, they both grow up; one day, Spike's mom is being picked on by some childhood bullies, and a teenaged size male dragon shows up and scares the bullies off. Spike's mom kinda develops a crush instantly; long story short, Spike's mom asks his dad out, they both teach each other a lot about how they were raised, with Spike's dad giving up a few Dragon customs just to please his mom, and his mom, and aunt, learn a little bit about what it really means to be dragons, and his parents marry a bit after. But a little while after his Mom lays his egg, both his parents are killed by a monstrous dragon, and the town they lived in is never the same after that.
