Taken the episode as is outside the context of the show, I think it's fine. Given the show's history of handling Celestia and Luna, while I don't share the level of dislike that bigbertha and Metemponychosis have, I can sympathize with them. I can't help bot wonder if the two subplots would have been better as two separate episodes. But that's just me. -

I really wish they had an episode dedicated to her making amends with Our Town instead of making it part of the montage at the end of the Season 5 finale. A shame; it could have been a potentially good setup for character development in Season 6. -
Batman: TAS and old school Spongebob immediately come to mind.

I think this was a nice Starlight episode. Though I think Maud likes rocks a bit too much.
