  1. Well, it definitely wasn't shoplifting, but I've acquired a quite uncommon item by not-so-legal means.
It was around 2010, I think, and little me was really into trains and stuff. One day a railroad crossing near my grandparents' house was renovated and all the old traffic signals etc. just lay around, so I had my parents drive there with me and get me one of these crosses that are usually fixed at the post with the signal lights. And that's the story of how that thing ended up on display in our garden, where it remains to this day. :P

But, as far as I can recall, I've never shoplifted.

  2. In emotional value, first and foremost my beloved pets; but ignoring the living things, my stuffed animals, cats, to be exact, I had since I was a baby. I got seven of them in my first years:

But in terms of monetary value, I would guess that that'd be the collection of 19th/20th century law books I recently received from my town's archives (they would have destroyed them because they had them twice, so I asked if I could get them). The oldest one is from 1816, and the "newest" one is from 1930:

  3. I like blue the most.

That might've been influenced by my time in kindergarten, where we were split into groups named after colors. Everyone was super "patriotic" about their group, so me being in the "Blue Group" probably caused me to prefer blue over all other colors. :P

  4. Let's see… Besides Germany (birth country and residence) I've been to:

    • Greece (but that happened when I was ~4 years old, so I barely have any memory of it)
    • Croatia (every summer since 2013)
    • Austria; Slovenia (transit to Croatia)
    • USA (for BronyCon '19)

That'd add up to five foreign and a total of six countries.

  5. This is Karl. He's our oldest pet, my family got him around 2007, I think.

This here is our newest little friend. We just call him "Kleiner", which would translate to "Small One" - he just strayed into our garden about 4 years ago, and he was a fairly young kitten then, so, in comparison to Karl, he definitely was the small one. Sometimes we also jokingly call him "Li'l FatCat" because he really put on weight since we adopted him.(He really likes to nab anything the other two don't eat when they're fed!)

But we also have a little dog. We got her shortly before we found Li'l FatCat, and her name's "Fine".

So yeah. These three fellas really keep my family from getting bored! ;)

  6. Oh boy, I definitely love puns. Sometimes I don't know if I like them ironically or honestly, but they are undoubtedly the kind of joke that gets a visible reaction out of me most frequently.

Considering I often randomly make one up when someone around me presents a perfect opportunity to do it, I tend to think that I honestly like them.

But whatever, I can say that I enjoy hearing puns for sure!

I just wanted to double check how your name was pronounced, is it "Ahn-joe" or "Ahn-yo"?  For some odd reason, when I see your name I pronounce it "Ahn-yo"... :mlp_wat:  Just something I wanted to clear up with you?

Your gut feeling didn't fool you! ;)

A little addition nonetheless: Technically, the "a" vowel isn't stretched in pronunciation, but that's because I - and subsequently my real name -  are both German, and German pronunciation wouldn't stretch the "a" in my real name. But I wouldn't care about such small errors that originate from things that aren't general knowledge.

To stay on-topic, I have to add that I sometimes also used to put my date of birth after the "anjo", resulting in "anjo0803", which I still use for plenty of other online stuff.

  8. Mine's a combination of my two given names.

I really can't make up good names, and "anjo" was also a real-life nickname used by friends and family at the time for me when I first registered myself on... Minecraft, if I remember correctly(?), so I just chose that as my username, and went by that decision ever since.

  9. My favorite pony is Rainbow Dash. Personally, I don't exactly know why, but it was most likely influenced by the fact that in 2018 (when I first came in contact with the show) I began to really get hyped for the FIFA World Cup, so when I first saw Dash playing soccer in Equestria Girls (first thing I watched), I guess that just made her really sympathetic to me. That's my theory, because she doesn't really represent the traits I have nor the ones I'd like to have - with exception to her confidence, of course!

But I also really like Fluttershy, because she shares my love for animals and is very shy, like me.

Yeah… I didn't know whether writing a link - because the name itself would be a link - would count as advertising for another pony forum, in which case that might be against the advertising guidelines, so I avoided mentioning the name… (Yes, I'm a bit paranoid about breaking rules and stuff…)

Only started with WC myself, season 4. Honestly, just like Kenny in early seasons of southpark, there is a character dieing in each book for the quota. Like in the ~3rd of season 4, where a cat suddenly dies...WITHIN THE LAST 30 PAGES; NO LESS!

Yeah, that kinda began to suck, to me especially in the later seasons… But my knowledge only covers stuff until the middle of season 5, so I don't know anything about whether that bettered.

That's (Gö) 2 hours away by bus or car.

My bro studies in Marburg though, and he is kinda a brony too, just not involved in the fandom at all - I believe. :mlp_wat:

Sounds about right, I actually had to endure a 2 hour drive just recently when I went to Ludwigsburg for the series finale meetup. Definitely worth it. ^_^

Ah, yes, Marburg I do recognize (had to look on a map for Göttingen first - my geographical knowledge isn't the best :lie:) - but I guess that's not an impressive thing considering it's, like, around the corner. Didn't Marburg have regular meetups at one point? There was a thread for that on the forum I came from, but that seemed to have ceased, or else I might've joined…

Your English is pretty well for a German, especially on your age. I live with an US american female who is doing her Phd here by putting Alzheimer into mice brains, the usual stuff. She doesn't speak a word of German at all, despite living her for 2 or 3 years.

Aw, thank you! But that's just because here I have time to check and rewrite stuff - whenever I'm talking freely or writing class tests, my output can be pretty… not elegant, to say the least.

The usual stuff indeed. Hopefully the mice don't forget how to speak mouse, or they'd join your American friend in not speaking the language around them all day!

You're gonna love it here, @anjo!

I sure hope so! I currently just don't have the time to get on here more regularly (*peeks at schoolwork*) but I'll definitely look around on the weekend!

Why do you intend on doing such a cruel thing to yourself (and others)?

Actually, that aside, we have quite some things in common; IT/coding skills, history interests and the country. I actually read a good book about the Iran recently and...Warrior Cats aside, an East Germany propaganda book about the Sowjet Union history.

You might not even live far away from me...esp. if you are the north of Hesse, as I live in the south of lower Saxony, Göttingen. Are you nearby Kassel by any chance? We have a local WhatsApp group around this area.

Why I intend to do that? To cut it short, I believe it'd be a good balance of routine (criminal laws don't change that often) and new stuff (new cases and people every day) that would prevent me from getting too bored of a job I'd have to do for a long time of my life.

Oh, you also read Warrior Cats? I must confess I haven't in a while, but that was the first book series I really grew attached to

Concerning my residence, that would be more in the middle of Hesse than in the north, around Gießen to be exact. So no, to say I live nearby Kassel would be an exaggeration…

How did you find MLP Forums?

Via Google - I was searching for an international MLP forum after I really enjoyed a German one and decided to also register on an international one.

How you became a fan of My Little Pony

I was converted by my brother, who himself got converted by his online friends. That was around January 2018.

We were still in the middle of Christmas holidays, so I was a little bit bored. When my brother then asked me to watch the first "Equestria Girls" movie with him, I agreed, despite being somewhat irritated by his love of MLP before. Well, it came as it had to - I found it to be enjoyable, and after the EG movie was over, I stayed and watched some normal episodes of FiM with him. And I guess that's the moment I couldn't go back anymore - my fate was sealed ;).

    Guten Tag! (Hello!)

I'm a relatively new Brony from Germany, and I found this forum just yesterday (but since I was in a hurry then, I waited with introducing myself until now).

I still go to school (will graduate in 1.5y) and will most likely study law after that. Besides law, I'm also really into history - and speaking of that, books in general. I always had a kind of… uncommon humor and a heart for things like plushies, so it didn't surprise me much when I got into MLP and its fandom.

The Brony fandom is my first "real" fandom, and as such, I'm still learning the dynamics and structures of the fandom, forums and the likes, so pardon me if I do anything stupid :please:

Also, I'm really bad at introducing myself (shyness strikes again!), so I don't know what else to write here. But I hope this does it for now!
