Yes that is a big letdown!! Hopefully you would think the people for pony life wouldn’t go down that route! Especially after ending on such a high note after gen 4! Plus they need to have a good filler before the movie and the start of gen 5 so they need something that you know.. somewhat clicks.

Out of all of the seasons of my little pony the ONE THING I wish they would of done is ACTUALLY make an episode on how applejacks parents disappeared and if they are even dead or not!! The closest we ever got to actually knowing anything was the perfect pear episode and I cried like half the 30 minutes it was on it was soooo well done and touched my heartstrings!!! I just wished we knew what happened for real!!! I was kinda hoping for an episode in season 9 where applejack finds out that her parents are alive!! But that didn’t pan out.... oh well!!!!
