  1. This topic is unnecessarily controversial - of course milk is good for you. It's not just something parents say because it's the norm, it's scientifically proven that it's healthy for a number of reasons. Like Feld0 said, fat content is necessary for the body to function, just like calcium and all that jazz. Getting worried that the tiny bit of fat in milk is going to get you killed horribly is pretty stupid - the vast majority of prepared food has fat in it, and by that logic it would be lethal to eat.
  2. That in itself might make a good cutie mark, really. It's decorative enough, but maybe the black would be a little hard to see on such a dark background... you could try just decorating it randomly in photoshop or something and get something that looks nice like that.
  3. What exactly are feelings? I believe it's simply an instinct present in all social animals, as previous posters have stated. Humans are very social of nature, and it's natural that domestic cats bred to be kept for pets will be so too, so through time they have probably developed something similar to what we call love, sadness, anger and such. We're overestimating ourselves. How can anyone here possibly know that what we consider "feelings" aren't just instincts themselves? They make us protect those we love, while keeping us safe from harm by making us take distance from those we've had bad experiences with.
  4. Those wings will probably be very hard to make properly, but it definitely looks awesome - I'm not too sure about a cutie mark, though, since it's really a combination of aesthetics and personality, so even if it looks good it's not sure it would fit, especially with an unnamed OC.
  5. I'm aware, that's why I said "yet". Of course I expect it to make more sense when it comes out, the MLP writers are superb, I'm just saying that as it is the summary isn't really anything special. To be honest, it was pretty obvious what it was going to be about, what with the songs released at Comic Con.
  6. I just kinda feel like saying that manga is much more convenient than anime - you can move at your own pace and skip the boring filler, for example. Lots of awesome manga that were never even made into anime, too, or at least did it poorly. I'll be classic and suggest DBZ, though. There's a reason it's one of the most popular anime around, even after all these years.
  7. Well, she is more or less the main character, more so than the rest of the Mane 6 in that she was introduced first. I think this is awesome, gotta love dem spoilers, the plot does seem sort of lame without some extra info, though. How does an empire "suddenly appear" and why does it "need protection"? It doesn't really make much sense to me yet.
  8. It's similar to riding a bike, really. You get used to it really quickly. I barely have to move at all to keep going forward! The boards also have helpful shoe grips that make sure you don't just slide off. It's probably even easier to keep your balance on one than on a regular skateboard.
  9. If you don't want to do tricks anyways, I'd suggest being hipster controversial and getting a street surfing "waveboard" instead, they're much more fun in my opinion. They can go uphill and all, and you never have to touch the ground after you set off, while still requiring concentration to keep moving.E Vigorboards and ripstiks do more or less the same thing as the waveboard, but I prefer it to the others due to plan higher quality.

    gaming Best video game A.I.?

Dwarf Fortress has amazing AI, it's capable of generating thousands of years of realistic history with major characters and disasters and naming countries and every thing. It controls the climate and what lives in every area of a gigantic map, as well as each individual creature's hunger, injuries, even looks and personality. I admit it does have some stupid points, though - dwarves can be stubborn at times.
  11. I've got a small timeline of names I've been known as everywhere on the internet, Shaoni being the fourth major name I've used. I was looking for something that was easy enough to remember and that sounded alright, I had no idea it was also an actual name - I believe it's a girl's name in Japan. Oh well.
  12. I absolutely love G3. The games, Pokemon, everything was awesome. Even the anime was endurable. I'm definitely not one of these genwunners who rage whenever they see a new Pokemon game come out - you guys gotta realize it's not that easy inventing 150 new Pokemon every two years.
  13. I would love to say this is yet another satirical site, but it looks pretty damn genuine. Seriously embarrassing to know that such websites exist - as Demiurge said, bronies are the definition of anti-sexist.
  14. When I first discovered the internet, of course. I'm online more than I sleep. I also had a sort of realization similar to the OP, except I've never believed in a God - when I realized that the concept of believing in a religion or not makes no difference and that humans are all stupid. Yeah.
  15. I believe traditional art is easier to learn but harder to master, while digital art is hard to learn but easy once you get a hang of it. Anyone can make a doodle on a piece of paper, but it actually takes a bit of dedication (Believe it or not) to draw something digitally if you've never tried anything similar before.
  16. Well, yes, of course it would be hard for the people he knew to see people making fun of his death, but I doubt they would actively search out one website if they knew it did just that, and since this thread is about ED, that's what I meant about it. Mocking him in itself I see nothing wrong with, though. It's true, I don't know what it's like, but with the viewpoint I expressed earlier that searching out death is stupid I doubt I'd ever be inclined to committing suicide. Which I'm glad for, of course.

    gaming MMORPGs

WoW is a good game if you want a standard MMO, but there's nothing "bad" about it like lots of people claim. Runescape is however amazing (or it used to be a year or two back), got really unique gameplay. Lots of grind though.
  18. Yes. Yes, it is true. Are you implying he's a zombie sitting with a laptop and reading through the "An Hero" page? It's true that if he did in fact have a mental illness and that's what caused him to commit suicide, that sucks, but it doesn't change the fact that he's dead and there's no reason not to make fun of him if you find it funny. I'd also like to note that if you disagree with me, give me an actual response. Calling me "ignorant" and not trying to explain why is useless.
  19. When I moved from Denmark to Norway, the mountains made a huge impression on me. Denmark is a very flat country, it's got no mountains at all, so it was the first time since I was really young I got to experience mountains in real life.
  20. Yes, that's right. Plain instinct should tell you to stay alive no matter what you go through. However, that's irrelevant, the point I'm making is that he's dead, he's not going to give a crap if some website insults him. Instead people who think stuff like that is funny can laugh at him and everyone's happy.
  21. That is so awesome. It's true that a few parts seemed a little off, but I doubt many people could do it better. It's a bit fast paced for an accordion, I'd say.
  22. As mentioned, ED's sole purpose is satire and trolling. You're not supposed to take what you read there seriously. As for the kid who committed suicide... committing suicide is stupid. It's moronic and deeply idiotic. Humans can't even comprehend the thought of not existing since they've never experienced it, so willingly seeking it out is completely ridiculous. I personally think they're in their right to make fun of it, especially since he's dead - he doesn't care, does he? That may sound a little harsh, but it's true.
  23. The sun. Since they agreed to let me have anything, they would have to pull the sun down to Earth, causing the apocalypse. If I'm going down, I'm going down with STYLE.

    gaming MMORPGs

I'm unoriginal enough to say the only MMO's I've played actively were WoW and Runescape, both of which contrary to popular belief are awesome games.

    music Cassette to CD

While really inconvenient and possibly a bad idea, wouldn't it be possible to just play it, record it then burn it on a CD yourself? It would probably be lower quality, of course, but it's easy and more or less free.
