  1. Only counting natural abilities, I consider Sonic better at racing than Dash because of one key factor, endurance! Their top speeds are as far as canon descriptions go similar (both vaguely described as "supersonic" or "breaking the sound barrier"). Sonic however, unlike Dash, has a secondary power of supernatural endurance, whereas Dash has been shown to fatigue quickly at times. Knuckles wins the strength comparison because... well... he literally punched the "Super" out of "Super Sonic". As much as I love AJ, I don't see her doing anything similar anytime soon. Tails versus Twilight... well what is there to say about that one? Unlike Tails, who you rarely even see doing anything smart, Twilight show's off that she has a brain and she knows how to use it. Rarity... "gemstone attraction spell"... enough said... Cream. Keeping in mind that "cuteness" isn't the same as "kindness" then Fluttershy kind of suffers the same problem as Tails where it's implied that she is the kindest pony in Equestria, but you don't get to see her do an awefull lot of kind stuff, or hear her say a lot of kind things. (Again, keep in mind that "shyness" and "cuteness" are not the same as "kindness") Oh god... Amy and Pinkie... that's two totally different types of crazy... I'm going to have to go with Amy though, because hers is the "creepy obsessed stalker" kind of crazy, as opposed to Pinkie's "awkward tiring random" kind of crazy. I'm going to have to disagree with a part of this comment. Tails' intelligence is said to be the only one (in universe) to rival Eggman's. The problem is, like I mentioned before, that he really never does much with his intelligence, so all in all it just feels like it's not present. Amy rose has a very unrealistic and 1-dimensional vision on reality, she is obsessed with a single individual to the point of folowing him anywhere he goes and has once attempted to beat the crap out of him when he didn't want to come with her. (Also consider the fact that the individual in question has on many occasions told her to piss off.) ---> Ergo, She's "bat-sh*t-insane"! Pinkie, is hyperactive, she think's in non-obvious ways, and she acts out of the norm at almost all times. She has the type of personality you might call crazy, but really, she does ground herself in reality.
  2. Ah... that website... I kind of drifted away from it because the community absolutely angered me. It's amazing how people can build such great decks while having minimal understanding of the game's rules.
  3. *waves* Oooh~ Me! Me! I'm interested. (by the way, what is the name of the website you were talking about?)
  4. Gawd! I feel so unneeded right now... TTwTT

  5. B*ck yeah! You and I are gonna kick some zombie ass Mister 3DS-sama! (Honestly, it's probably just going to end up getting me killed even quicker, because now it supplies a constant distraction to me.)
  6. Sweet! A shiny Karrablast... Wait... when did my luck start turning good? What sick game are you trying to play with me karma?

  7. How many people here still play with wi-fi multiplayer DS games? (Pokemon doesn't count!)

But the wi-fi doesn't work and the L button is practically broke.

  8. Strangely enough, my least favorite pony's death would affect me the most. I don't like Pinkie Pie, but I'd hate to see anything happen to her. I may not like the way she acts, but over the episodes I've come to appreciate her efforts to keep her friends' high spirits up. That makes sense, right?
  9. Nimbus nervously paced around the house. He wasn't doing a particularly good job at hiding anything, and as a matter of fact, was still holding on to everything Shooting Star had handed over to him. Ultimately, he just decided to give up and he walked over to the empty living room. He sighed and threw himself onto the futon, resting the items next to him.
  10. Katami smiled at the host and looked past him at the ponies inside the house house. She hesitated for a while. She was considering whether she should go over and introduce herself or if she should just find a quiet part of the room and keep to herself when she noticed the pony watching from the bushes. She was about to walk over to him, but Letrix beat her to it, teleporting behind the other pony. Katami silently chuckled at the display before her.
  11. Staring into her mirror Katami had one more go-over on her appearance. Her coat was well groomed, her mane was straightened out from its regular pointy style and was reflecting light with a healthy glare, her outfit was conveniently covering the part of her flank where her cutie mark should be. She looked into the mirror one last time as she softly said: "I guess I'm a little over dressed... I hope nopony notices." She smiled at her reflection, grabbed a necklace, and left for the party. When Katami arrived at Letrix's house she kindly greeted the colt standing at the door. "I take it you're the host?" She handed the necklace she brought along to Letrix. "Here, please take this. It's a little token of my appreciation for going through the trouble of organizing this."
  12. Oh noez! The forrums are gradually becoming a darker and more depressing place to be... Please, oh great and wonderful season 3, "cometh now and bringeth dein salvation!"

Much shorter. That was only 4 months, with episodes beginning in august. Now? 5 months later and another month of waiting before an actual release date.

I'm starting to wonder now... Has an actual official announcement of season 3 even been made yet?

The most official announcements we have confirm that it is (was, given that they no doubt finished principal recordings) in the works and that the beginning will be sometime in November.

  13. Nimbus flinched. To him it sounded like Shooting Star was tasking him, of all ponies, with the assignment to hide the items. He knew he wasn't great at hiding stuff, but he didn't want to disappoint his dormmate. He nervously uttered, "I-I guess... I... could... hide them?"
  14. Silver grumbled in disgust. "That Eggman!..." He turned and looked at the city again. "We can't let him get away with this, we have to stop him!" It didn't even occur to the oblivious hedgehog that he was pretty much beating a dead horse by pointing out the obvious. Silver hesitated for a second before asking, "Sonic, do you need my help with anything right now? Otherwise I'm going to see what I can do to help the victims here."
  15. A white hedgehog appeared from a space-time rift a fair distance from the border of Fillydelphia. "This should be the right time and place, this is where the disaster started. If I can just stop it, then the future will be safe." He stared at his two empty hands and muttered something to himself. "Hmm... It's no use, my chaos control just isn't strong enough to bring the emeralds with me yet." Silver clenched his fists and looked up. "What am I saying? I can't give up because of that, I can make it through with only my psychokinesis." Silver enveloped himself with a green, minty aura and disappeared. He reappeared at the border at the city and was greeted by the sight of destruction, pain, and misery. Silver cringed and hit the wall (or at least what was left of one) with a fist. "Dang it! I'm too late!" He slowly recollected himself and noticed that a pony with wings and a familiar blue hedgehog were also watching over the city. he walked over to the hedgehog and asked. "Sonic, why are you here? I came here because I was told that I had to prevent a disaster here in order to protect the future, but... I didn't expect 'this'! What in the world happened here?" There was a slight hint of anger noticeable in the way he spoke.
  16. "I guess we're done here?" Nimbus said as he started to gather the bowls and empty bags of snacks. He walked to the kitchen and threw the trash away. Afterwards, he walked up the stairs to the rooms and he knocked on Shooting Star's open room door before entering. "Hey, need any help setting stuff up?"
  17. I've been considering a concept for a fanfic, but at the moment I'm feeling it's very basic (and to be honest, as it is right now, I find it to be a bit uninteresting). I would like to hear some suggestions on how I could possibly make it more interesting. The premise of the story is as follows: A strange phenomenon has overtaken Ponyville and its number of residents is effectively doubled because of it. Every pony wakes up to find a complete stranger in their room. Applejack decides to head out and ask Ponyville's resident scientist and librarian for an explanation on what's going on. It doesn't take long for Twilight to figure out that somehow every pony's personality has taken a shape and life of their own. For most residents this doesn't create much of a problem because the ponified personalities for the most part, act exactly like the ponies that they originate from, but for the mane-six and their personalities, it creates a bit of an issue, because rather than acting like their originals, they act like the elements of harmony they are supposed to represent to a perfect extreme, it eventually escalates to a point where the mane-six, or rather their pesonalities, are getting themselves into a lot of trouble.
  18. Nimbus laughed hesitantly. "Well, I don't really know that game either. Why don't we play something everypony is surely familliar with? Like..." Nimbus thought deeply for a while. He wasn't exactly the "gaming" type of pony, so he didn't know of many games to play. "Umm... How about we do a scavenger hunt instead?"
  19. Can someone please explain to me why Ceresbane is getting so much crap from so many people for the thing he said about the personality inconsistencies? From what I can tell, people insist that he says the characters should be perfect, but what I hear is that the characters are the living embodyments of the elements they represent, and that their flaws should not contradict their elements, but rather be problems that stem from characteristics associated with those elements. And I can whole-heartedly agree with that. Barring the Discord episodes, I find it very jarring when these characters contradict their elements because for the greatest part there is no real justified reason for it, because there are better alternatives. They might be small things but it's little questions like: - Why is Applejack lying to Pinkie? - Why is Pinkie being so serious and up-tight all of a sudden? - Why is Fluttershy being such a bitch right now? that just don't sit right with me, and don't get me wrong, I can understand why those choices were made, and I do appreciate the thought that went behind it. I just don't like the way it meshes with the element of harmony concept. These are the great chosen avatars wielding the McGuffin crystals of legend. So if they don't adhere to the demands of their respective crystals, why are they the chosen ones at all? Spike is more loyal and reliable than Rainbow Dash, the Cakes have yet to tell a lie, Celestia's magic is most likely still stronger than Twilight's and she already understands the value of friendship, heck, for that matter, the Derpy character would make for a more interesting element of kindness with some minor adjustments. I don't buy the "different writers" excuse, because for one, it only takes a 12 word memo to solve that problem. and for another, I've read fanfics that could consistently keep the mane-six to their elements and still have interesting flaws to play off, (Whether or not those stories as a whole are interesting is up to you to decide for yourself, but at least the concepts are competent,) so why should I expect any less from the capabilities of professional writers?
  20. I have never a particularly strong "drive to live". I guess If I could save multiple lives by giving my own, I would do so without much thought. But If there were only one other life at stake then (not to sound selfish or anything) I would have to think about it... very hard. And I would most likely give it a pass. Also, I don't like the odds of "potentially" saving someone. If there's not at least an 90% chance of them getting off safely, then I won't bother. I'd rather save my life to perhaps save someone else in the future. If it's a situation where either I or the other person have to die then that changes stuff a little. In that case, I think it's safe to say that I would give my life for them. Personal relationships are of little influence to all of this, what I've said here pretty much applies to everyone I know and everyone I don't know... No, wait, that's not right... There's a handful of people who I'd gladly let die, no matter what the situation. (I know, I know! "Love and tolerate everyone". Well, I refuse to "love" everyone, as that is just a ridiculous concept in itself, and tolerance has nothing to do with me not being willing to give my life to save someone. If anything, that's the default human response to these kind of things and everything else is just an exception. "If I don't care for you, I reserve the right to care for myself!")
  21. Cleaverbot sang the MLP intro together with me. (seriously, if you haven't yet tried it, try telling it the lyrics to the intro, it's a blast.)
  22. Would anyone mind giving me their opinions on the character choices I made for my fanfic?

  23. As I said, I would rather keep Trixie off this list, because I feel like she isn't characterized strongly enough to be the face of an alignment... But I wouldn't say she's "clearly not good". As has been said in the video of the first post. "She's an entertainer", and from what I can tell, a pretty amusing one if almost the entire audience is enjoying the show. Surely that gives her at least some points towards the "Good" alignment. And if that seems like a load of crap to you, also consider that she made some attempt at chasing away the ursa minor that was about to raid Ponyville. Successful or not, it was more than most would do.
  24. "Welp, first of all, I'm not from Equestria. I'm from Neighpon. I moved to this country because I lived in a village with my friends, in a house much like this one, just... smaller... Anywho, before I knew it, I had learned everything the schools around that area had to offer." Nimbus chuckled. "They called me a prodigy, but I hardly believe that's true." "When I came here, the first thing I did was look for a new school to learn about cloud designing, and it didn't take very long for me to get into a good one. That's where I met Sky, we were in the same dorm, and his room was right next to mine. We hung together for a while and he was pretty much the only friend I had here in Equestria..." Nimbus thought for a second. "Well... He and this colt called Embers. Funny thing... for the longest while I thought Embers was a mare, and I thought "she" looked very pretty too, but confusing genders seems to be a theme with me, because it was neither the first, nor the last time I confused a colt for a mare, or the other way around. It actually took me three whole months to learn my best friend's gender." "However, the school got shut down, Sky, Embers, and I went our separate ways, and eventually I became a freelance cloud designer for any weather pony institute that desires my services. It pays well enough to get around and I really love clouds, so it's an all around good thing for me." Nimbus took a few nuts and popped them into his mouth one by one.
  25. "Oh, hey! Marisa, I've been meaning to ask this for a while now, but what kind of stuff do you write? I mean, are you a journalist or a novel writer, or maybe a scientific researcher?" Nimbus was hoping for the last of the three, it would be nice to have somepony to learn a few new things from.
